Market charts will not be able to make the price of bitcoin in the position of $ 5000 for this year, I think maybe that analysis is suitable for use at the beginning of this year. we can be sure and see if the potential in this year to 2020 the price of bitcoin and altcoin will be in a high position. so maybe even just a few percent decline from the current price of bitcoin, it will not decrease dramatically.

I don't think many alts would recover against Bitcoin if this happens and so they will crash even more. Some solid alts with good liquidity like Litecoin may recover but most won't recover in my opinion. Thoughts?  I don't think all alts would die if Bitcoin dropped to 5k or 4k. There are many self-funded projects that are not that reliable on Bitcoin. My opinnion. |

No big thing happened, altcoins are not doing bad at this moment! I thought Bitcoin's price would hit 5K USD in this recent dump and Ethereum will come below 100 USD once again, but the market is pumping again, and there is no fear for good altcoins because they got some strong supporter who holds bitcoin and their favorite altcoins too!

I don't think many alts would recover against Bitcoin if this happens and so they will crash even more. Some solid alts with good liquidity like Litecoin may recover but most won't recover in my opinion. Thoughts? During some time I believe that it was possible for bitcoin to crash so hard that it could reach 5000 once again, but I did not thought that to be likely but even if at the moment the price of bitcoin is above 7000 there was a point in which it reached 6500 and if people keep selling their coins at this rate I'm completely sure that we will see those prices again, what will happen to altcoins? Most of them are going to crash even faster than bitcoin and many of the new altcoins are probably going to disappear since they are going to be unable to cope with this |

There is rule of thumb in crypto market that altcoins have direct relation with BTC price. If BTC go up, alt coins will also go up and vice versa.
It's very likely that BTC may go behind 5k and if does happen, I m sure alt coins wont sustain there prices and will go down.

Hard to tell so. The market value of alts might suffer the same thing or the other way around. We have seen parallelism way back 2017 on their market value specifically when the market price of Bitcoin went skyrocket in which we did observe how high the market price of alts became. But the case at this moment is different since the market is still struggling to make a comeback for a year already. So maybe the thing we should focus more on, is being patient than to create assumptions that would temp us or frustrate us.

I think not only altcoins have a direct relation in crypto market, because Investors is the main reason for crypto market so once Bitcoin will down automatically investors are fear the altcoins and directly move to stable coins so peoples are clear to survive on anytime. I hope market will never reach 5k USD and it will going to moon again. |

If you are trying to trade the markets then you have no other choice but to make assumptions about what the market will do in particular circumstances, if bitcoin keeps going down and it becomes a sustained trend you can be sure that the price of altcoins is going to suffer a lot more than the price of bitcoin, in the past when the price of bitcoin began to go down some people decided to invest in altcoins and this made the price of altcoins obviously to go up but now people are choosing to get stable coins or fiat making the price to go down of both bitcoin and altcoins. |

If bitcoin goes down to such a low in $5000s, it is likely to mark another major bottom and bounce back fast from there. Most top coins will likely move down with bitcoin and bounce back with it.

maybe some new Altcoin could go bankrupt, we see a lot now a few exchanges are closed because of bankruptcy, what about the existence of a new Altcoin that does not have a strong community and investors, I think they will go bankrupt if bitcoin returns below $ 5,000, it hurts everyone , so it's only a suggestion to switch sides on the old Altcoin that is part of the top 10 or 100 coinmarketcaps including Litecoin

We could really do with some positive price movement about now. We keep dropping, and then each mini-recovery is only partial, so we are at a lower level than before. I still don't think that $5k for BTC would be a disaster, but a change in the general direction of travel would be welcome about now.

Nothing may happen to altcoin or worse except it goes beyond $1000, I dont its impossible to get below $1000 but I think its not in their plan the sentiment around it is also considered. It does not take time to pump this coin from any price now, it can be in 3 week if the whales want it, the last pump was less than 2 months to the ATH. I just think if any coin has enough money to push its coin up if bitcoin continues to dump in longer run may affect the sentiment around it for a while.

It's impossible to answer this question, we can guess and give some arguments for some possible outcomes. Personally I doubt we will see bitcoin so low ever again, but even if its happen for sure that market crash will pull down many other alts. But, there is always some but, crypto market have some strong coins right now, and maybe some of them can take that free space in case of bitcoin crash and advance.
Future is in crypto is tricky to predict, we are trying, we have some wild guesses, but actually nobody knows what future holds for all of us in crypto.

This market is full of surprises just when you think that something is impossible and that there is no way that something could happen the market of cryptocurrencies finds a way to prove you wrong, so we cannot discard that bitcoin could reach such low price and then the question becomes what are you going to do about it in the case this happens? And in that case I will buy all the bitcoin that I can while ignoring altcoins because I know that if bitcoin is crashing then altcoins are crashing even harder. |

Unfortunately you are right. The entire cryptocurrency market is stick to Bitcoin price. However, I think that some altcoins are no longer in danger because they are already at the very bottom. I am hoping for an exception - If the Bitcoin price actually continues to fall, I hope that Ethereum fork will succeed and this will cause the ETH price to break away from the BTC price and start to rise. |
