I am hoping for an exception - If the Bitcoin price actually continues to fall, I hope that Ethereum fork will succeed and this will cause the ETH price to break away from the BTC price and start to rise.

Don't get me wrong. I don't say every other crypto in the market won't live with bitcoin but there are always some occasions in the market which usually replicate itself i.e when halving is approaching, when it halving season and few months after bitcoin halving the whole crypto market momentum depend on bitcoin market trend.

sorry but i believe that every existing currencies in crypto are all depending on what will bitcoin move.

Well our initial thinking was altcoins price will also crash if bitcoin's price will crash and yes it is true and we've already seen it, bitcoin's price goes up and then altcoins will follow and the same thing when bitcoin crashes but let us not generalize the altcoins, yes some will follow bitcoin's trend but a few will not. Honestly, altcoins have no bottom. Its price could go down as low as possible and die if BTC went down like 2018. I saw a lot of altcoins at the bottom and now it's dead.

I don't think so. So far, most of the altcoins beyond the top 200 coins have almost zero trading volume and liquidity. It only means one thing, most of the traders and holders have left, leaving their cheap bags to the strongest hands or rather foolish hands? We need to get rid of some outdated views, people think that if the market goes up then is good and if it  goes down then it is bad, you can make money as well when the market is going down, it is called shorting, and even if you do not want to short the markets a bearish market can be a great way to multiply the bitcoin that you are holding and then get even bigger profits the next time the market begins to skyrocket but in order to do this you need to become a trader and stop being an investor.

I also think that way, that some altcoins might still be able to survive at a price that is down for sure, and altcoins that don't have a lot of volume might die. and if altcoin can survive maybe the price can grow again

Some altcoins maybe still defend its price and got an increase in the bitcoin price but for some altcoins which are not having something useful just like the product and the future of them will be dead as soon as possible. if bitcoin falls and that will automatically affect the whole of altcoins except a solid altcoin that can stand without bitcoin
