Well there were many cryptos that went down to zero just like scam cryptos or the team abandoned it no longer supported by the community. Not all will go down to zero at the same time, as long people support cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin then it can survive for long years.

Back in the day, Vitalik once said that crypto will be going to zero. There has been many concerns about the longevity of cryptocurrency as a serious form of money, given that it's relatively unstable within the mainstream world. It's been 10 years since Bitcoin was created where crypto has had its ups and downs. However, many are afraid that crypto will be going to zero as the blockchain hype ends and governments start rolling their own digital currencies. When we take a look at most cryptocurrencies on the market, most of them aren't even useful at all. Perhaps, the only one is Bitcoin but it's terrible as a currency for daily transactions.

Which is why, I'm starting to wonder if crypto will really go to zero in the future? If this happens, then most of us will lose our hard-earned money as crypto becomes worthless. What are your thoughts? Huh

Actually the strength of this crypto lies in the crypto community. How do they try to maintain crypto so that it still has a high value.
Bitcoin also does not mean anything if the community leaves Bitcoin. Bitcoin is valuable because everyone entrusts Bitcoin and is used as an outside transaction tool. Zero values not only occur in crypto but can occur in Fiat. For example the value of the currency of Zimbabwe. They have changed the currency symbol several times (ZWD, ZWN, ZWR, ZWL) and now ZWD. I think dependence on the paper currency will also be dangerous. Because it has no fixed value. The value of paper currencies depends on world stocks. Maybe this is what I can understand about the value of Zero in crypto, so I don't worry about the zero value in crypto.

Technically, the answer should be "no". Crypto going to $0 would mean that all money must flow out of crypto which would be pretty unlikely. Next there would be the issue that there are lots of lost wallets in many different projects, which would mean that all of those wallets would need to be found and emptied, which would honestly be really unlikely. Of course it could be possible to go to zero too if all exchanges were to close / shutdown, and any place that had a interest in crypto / bitcoin decided to value it at zero even with the locked wallets. I would still imagine that it would be extremely unlikely though.

With that being said though, if Bitcoin were to drop to say $500 or $1000 again, I would imagine that there would be a massive influx of buying pressure. That alone would keep it from getting close to zero imo.

I don't see Bitcoin replacing fiat anytime soon though. I think there's too many issues with that (especially the volatility).

Crypto has gone a long way since inception. Many businesses, corporations, and individuals alike are still supporting it today. Despite the recent "bloodbath" in price, crypto hasn't managed to go to zero in terms of price across the market. As you've said before, all the money from crypto must be drained on the market for prices to go to zero. That's very unlikely to happen in the future since there are still people who buy and "hodl" crypto. With an ever-growing number of use cases on the Blockchain, it's nearly impossible for the entire industry to head all the way to zero.

I believe that the only ones saying that "crypto will go to zero" are those who want to spread "FUD" more than anything else. Warren Buffet is very skeptical about crypto as he believes it's worthless. Yet, the space has proven him wrong as crypto has been booming ever since it came into inception in 2009. There are so many developers working hard in order to make the Blockchain a better place. Bitcoin, being the father of all cryptocurrencies in existence, has managed to perform well after all these years. It has never gone to zero in terms of price, despite its setbacks over time. The only cryptocurrencies that will go to zero are those which are widely abandoned by their developers with no real use cases for the mainstream world. The rest will continue to be actively used and supported by people worldwide for many generations.

Nonetheless, we all know that nothing lasts forever. Maybe something superior comes up in the future that will threaten the existence of crypto in the future? Or maybe all the governments of the world decide to crackdown on the space in its entirety? If any of these events happen in the future, you could expect prices to go to zero across the market. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will still be alive, they won't have market support. But the odds of this becoming a reality are 0 to 1. Just my opinion Smiley

Honestly I doubt it. Blockchain will hopefully continue to evolve and embed itself into society.

not in general, there are companies that close due to disappearance of the founder or a person , taking all the money , and everything, some are just no value coins that are pump then dump , just to have money and left the community hanging, but generally speaking there is no sign that crypto currency will go to zero, its already been establish, and a lot of people and company are using it , removing it to a chain will do no good, so for me going to zero is like 0.001 percent that will happen

This question really sounds funny, crypto has gone far to go to zero, crypto has gained recognitions to go to zero. I do not see crypto going to zero, what actually is happening has to to with worldwide challenge. Crypto going to zero is like banks shutting down too. The trending virus is the issue we are having worldwide including crypto market so crypto isn't going to zero. Do not panic buddy.

I seriously doubt crypto would ever go to zero. The blockchain technology is so unique that developers keep coming up with new contracts that will keep everything in place always. You can just say that price will keep fluctuating or never come up as expected, but going to zero means there won't be crypto again and that I see as impossible.

There are many useless cryptocurrencies indeed and their price can be zero, but there are also a lot of very useful coins and tokens which have own community and these people hardly let price to go to zero. I think that blockchain hype didn`t passed, it hasn`t even started

Crypto market is now a fact and growing day by day. There are thousands of projects adding weekly to the crypto market and adop[ting digital coins as payment, Only the scam, and worthless crypto coins will go zero as we had seen and everyone is examining.

One day this is bound to happen, but the question is when. Indeed, many scam coins are able to stay afloat thanks to confident and proper marketing.
By creating a hype around such coins, simulating violent activity, or simply paying the exchange for the volume increase, the developers or creators of the project can maintain the viability of any coin scam for a long time.

Crypto will never go to zero if it continues to evolve and become the only way to have a stable national currency.
Check out TemTum, in talks with countries to provide them with a stable digital national currency.

I know right? But I find it odd to see most people saying that crypto will go to zero in the future. Especially someone like Warren Buffet. Even Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin made some expressions about this some time ago. This shows that there's still uncertainty in crypto within the mainstream world.

I'd have to say that crypto/Blockchain industry has done remarkably since it's inception back in 2009. Bitcoin has been the most successful cryptocurrency to date, with a wide number of supporters behind it. Despite its ups and downs, Bitcoin has managed to remain resilient in times of turmoil. Blockchain technology provides greater efficiency and security than existing systems of today. It's no wonder why many companies and mainstream governments have paid close attention to it. As long as crypto has real use cases for the mainstream world, it'll never go to zero in price.

Nonetheless, crypto is known to behave in strange in and bizarre ways. We should be prepared for the worst, in case crypto fails altogether in the future (which is very unlikely this will happen). At least, the technology is there in order to improve finance as we know it. Whenever crypto/Blockchain will succeed in the long run, that's entirely up to the people themselves. Just my thoughts Grin

I don't think so. Even I can't even see any sigh that crypto is goin to zero. This concept of crypto currency is based on decentralisation. So it's hard to stop it. And now the use of crypto is going more and more. Now many government started to think and even adopt crypto. And at this moment when governing bodies are thinking about crypto. I know it's still away form the mass people but when big companies government started to accept it. People will understand and use crypto. There is only chance that crypto market is going to go up not down.

Many of us will stay with crypto for good! Even if it drops really low we will be here and we will hold some low price, there will be some demand from us! We will use crypto for all things as we do now and we will keep crypto alive! Crypto, entire crypto market will not go to zero, it's not possible, to many people believe in crypto and we will never abandon this ship!

I think that even in this 2020, the cryptocurrency market capitalization will be more than 300 billion dollars. I think that the Altcoin market will prove to be the best, many coins will grow by 50-100%.

As long as there are loyal supporters of crypto, nothing should go wrong. Now that we're in the middle of a pandemic, people will look for alternatives to the existing monetary system. After all, governments are printing money like crazy that will result in massive inflation over the long term. Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency of the market, where every single altcoin depends on it as a reserve currency for long-term sustainability. The upcoming halving should make prices go up, instead of all the other way around. The question is when will this happen as we're living in uncertain times right now.

Considering how far crypto has gone through time, I doubt that it'll go to zero anytime soon. Of course, prices can fall massively across the market in a blink of an eye. But that doesn't mean the end of crypto. Bitcoin will always be a valuable cryptocurrency because of its decentralized and censorship-resistant properties. As long as Bitcoin has value, so will other altcoins on the market since they follow its "footsteps". Back then when Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin said that "Crypto could drop to zero", there was a lot of fear on the crypto space. I guess that ETH's founder made that expression because crypto is still not as widely adopted as Fiat is today. But the time will come when people will adopt crypto massively for daily payments. As social distancing is in effect, people are becoming more interconnected in the online world. This will lead towards the discovery and use of crypto as an alternative payment system to Fiat. Based on this, it looks very unlikely that crypto will go to zero sometime in the future. Just my opinion Smiley

I don't think that really happening in the future, except something very bad happen in cryptocurrency.
For now, there is no sign that crypto is going to zero.
Cryptocurrency is a good thing, but many scammers and hackers using it for bad intentions.

It’s strange to talk about such things. 20 years ago, people claimed that cards would not take root. People are used to paying with papers and cards are not needed. Now everyone uses cards, few people have cash. Why do you think cryptocurrency will drop to zero? She is now going through the stages through which any new product passes.

Obviously not, the bitcoin activities will be increased day by day. And I think that it would be the world nest currency. All of the countries use bitcoin and the other cryptos. Now the time for crypto turning to zero has long gone talk, now is time for adoption. Don't worry about this bullish  "zero" ?

I don't think crypto-currency will ever go back to zero looking at the stages of development it has been through.Bitcoin was obviously the first altcoins to be developed back in those days with a very little value at that time but now the value of Bitcoin has significantly rise despite the current market situation .Altcoins are developing day by day so there is no way they can go back to been zero completely.

Anything is possible but not this going to zero thought. Cryptocurency is struggling to get worldwide adoption which I believe will happen but it will take a while through the processes part of which is to end scamming from projects or devs, ending the journey of seemingly useless coins and tokens and nany more.
