Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space?

From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects.
Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects.
This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure.
Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects.
I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it?

in my opinion the most effective way to eliminate fraudulent projects is by verifying the team and monitoring token sales from 0 to completion of the project.

Or how about just eliminating any project that has a business model based around token sales? Tokens are inherently shitty from an investment standpoint. Issuing them, whether you are a scam project or not is irresponsible.

That is the best and the simplest way to keep oneself safe from frauds and loss. There is no point in wasting time on such projects while we have options like bitcoin or ethereum. Indeed, it is not very easy to buy a whole bitcoin at one time but then again, there is no need and a person can start from very small amount and then increase the digits by trading. It is better to stay away from fake opportunities like token projects.

Yes that is true. they made the investors afraid to participate even if the project is really good.
They do dump fast their stolen cryptocurrency, that is addition to market dump.
Bounty hunters wasted their time promoting the project and has been used to scam people which is worse.

Scam projects have tarnished the name of ICOs and now the interest and attention of most investors have shifted to IEOs because of its well structured way of carrying out the token sales. The IEOs hosted on tier one exchanges like Binance makes sure that the project is authentic by first collecting proof of doc from the team before hosting the IEO on their exchange platform.  This does not guarantee a 100% assurance but it is better in checking out for these scam projects.

Since there are many scam projects that raise funds, the impact is now that the projects have difficulty finding investors, many marketing strategies have been deployed but they still difficulty attracting investment. because the project reputation investments has become bad, now only a matter of time until every project  really dead.

Apparently yes. It is bringing a depression in cryptocurrency as a whole since they are getting distrust by the members of the community that's why it is killing cryptocurrency. Not just ICO scams, this includes money laundering and also fake investments that involve cryptocurrency.

Regulation is not going to solve anything, we cannot expect that a centralized party is going to solve the problems of a decentralized market, that is simply not going to happen, what we need to do is to try to find solutions that we can apply in this market and the only way to do that is to educate investors about the risks of investing and how easy it is to lose all your money if you invest in the wrong project, unfortunately this takes significant time and we cannot expect to see great results until many years later even if we began to spread the message right now.

For me personally, project scams do have a big influence on cryptocurrency, many scam projects make investors hesitant to start investing in new projects and this has an effect on good projects to get funds or attract investors to invest in the project, when the project getting stymied will have an impact on the people who participate in the project.

I think it is the investors that need to wake up and buck up. If you do something you have to do it right. You cannot mess around and risk losing money. When you do your job you must do it professionally so the same with investing. You need to do your homework and create a profile about the projects you want to support and create a pros and cons list and carefully select. Not just listen to people on social media who often have alternative motives. I have no patience for stupid people.

Frankly speaking this has affected potentials investors to draw back from making investment with cryptocurrency. Although many have been guided on how to make their own research before proceeding to invest. Cryptocurrency early days was good because scam where not introduced into the system, but recently the ball game changed. Many projects now end either with outright scam or exit scam.

I won't say it's killing the entire cryptospace, but rather killing part of the cryptospace. This is because, taking myself into consideration, I used to invest in projects but have not changed my mind because of people trying to scam me all over the past 1 to 2 years ago. So I will conclude that it's killing the some part of the cryptospace but not all.

They are killing it by making bad impression for the cryptocurrency because most of their investors are new to cryptocurrency so when the scam happens, it really make a first impression that cryptocurrency is just a scam that result into being skeptical of other potential investors which lessen the demand and possible progress of crypto space.
