I really did not want any drama on the kingpin issue and since they banned it I guess it was a fair deal so as to keep the hacker out.

I can confirm that your Kingpin account was hacked,
as I reported it for hackers attempt to hack me also.

This is an interesting case.
Was the Kingpin account banned because of the hacker's phishing attempt?
If it wasn't Sharon's fault that her first account got banned, I guess the sharon1212 deserves to be unbanned.

You should have received an email notification regarding the password change where you would also have the possibility of locking the account. Why did you not do that and waited for the account to be banned by the mods? There's no drama in trying to recover an account, not anymore at least, there's a new procedure in place and some would say it's quite straightforward so I don't really buy the "I wanted to let it go" part..

I always considered Sharon121212 to be an interesting, and helpful forum member. This does not excuse phishing if sharon121212 is guilty of this, but it should be a reason to put effort into looking into a possible hack.

It is possible sharon121212, or more specifically kingpin4321 was the victim of phishing, and this was why he changed his password on August 7 2019. I am not sure if at the time, changing your password would invalidate any active session cookies on other devices (automatically log you out of all devices), but if not, kingpin changing his password would not stop any hacker from continuing to use his account if the hacker already logged in.

Due to possible differences in time zone displays between dkbit98, and alanst, I am not sure if the password was changed before or after the phishing attempt made by kingpin. A change in IP addresses does not guarantee an account is actually hacked because someone up to mischief could decide to temporarily change the IP address they access the forum from to try to get away with mischief.

If kingpin4321 was in fact hacked, it would probably be because he entered his login information into the same phishing site, probably the same one his account sent alanst. The existence of a PM in kingpin's inbox containing a phishing link would be pretty strong evidence that his account was in fact hacked. The absence of a phishing link in kingpin's (or anyone else associated with him) inbox would be pretty strong evidence his account was not hacked, or that the hacker deleted the PM once he gained access to the account, but I don't think the later would be expected behavior. Other possible evidence that kingpin was hacked would include kingping visiting a thread that contained a phishing link at the time he visited the thread page.

sharon121212 could also produce evidence that he received a phishing message on a third party platform such as telegram, email, watsapp, but while I would not outright ignore this evidence, I would give it less weight.

That's a good point.  Both accounts applied for the Windice signature campaign, and in weeks 16 and 17 both sharon121212 and kingpin4321 were enrolled and show up on the spreadsheet.  So, before the potential hack the user was cheating the WinDice signature campaign with at least two alts.

Spreadsheet for the windice signature campaign:

I also find it strange that Sharon won't answer Suchmoon's very straight forward question:

did you have any other accounts?

This is starting to look like a scammer in our midst, and perhaps there was no hack after all.  I was afraid this might happen after the kenzawak debacle; that some shitbird would start phishing for a scam, then cry "my account was hacked" when the scam was exposed.

That sounds like a pile of steaming donkey dung to me too.

I am wondering why OP has not been tried to recover your old account. How we believe that your previous account has been hacked. However, admin might take a look if account has been hacked really.

But main question is why your account was banned. If you wondering that you old account banned after hacked andand it will not effect on your current account then it will be wrong. Who know perhaps you did mistake at the beginning, who know that you didn't plagiarized? If you plagiarized before hacked account and if that's the reason for ban then most likely your current account will not unban if admin don't like to give you second chance.
