I guess when someone says "secret", "wealthy families", and "wine and servants" over and over again that we are all supposed to cream in our pants and jump on board...(sarcasm).

What a waste of time.  The audio clip goes on and on for 30 minutes about this "secret currency" only to tell you that they cannot tell you what this secret currency(scam) is for free.  The audio still did not end after that.  IT IS ALL A SCAM, in case you did not know already.  It's kind of like those "get rich" book authors that got rich by selling you the "get rich" books.  WASTE OF TIME, moving on...

I watched the video for some 20 minutes when my browser froze. Had to restart the video but got angry that I couldn't fast-forward or something so I ended up just googling what the hell he is talking about. Apparently it's collectible gold coins.

Thank you for the answer.  I watched about 20 minutes and got bored.

I got bored at the part that he is working for bla bla bla

and closed it!

In the event of a SHTF scenario, it is a real insurance policy.

Im pretty sure, gas, ammo, clean water and food is a much better insurance policy than a bag of shiny metal - if shit really hits the fan.

I don't get why the gold freaks don't sign up to Bitpay or something similar, considering they get paid to their bank in dollars the next day and are exposed to no risk.
You could create a 24/7 live gold/silver trading site with bitpay instead of what they do now which is phone orders only and waiting for wires for 3-4 days.

I have a theory on why gold people are not tech savy; gold people are generally from the older generation (late 40s and older).  I like gold too and may own some someday but I don't see it as a great investment tool because the returns are nothing to dream about and it is very expensive to get started (if using gold as an investment).  I can buy $4,000 worth of gold and if it doubles in 5 years I'll have $8,000 ...nothing to get excited about.

Stansberry Research is a scam. They try to sucker people into buying numismatic gold coins at ridiculous prices.

That guy has alot of names.
Almost all the incredibly long/boring videos with no skip I hear his voice.

The video is too long, nowhere near the 5 mins they claim.

If he is suggesting anything based off gold, would still apply.
Quote from: Mary Chris Moss
White House Spokeswoman Mary Chris Moss said all citizens must surrender their gold to federal authorities by Dec. 25 or face a fine of $335,400 and 20 years in prison.
I'm guessing the deadline for gold surrender is Dec. 25th 2014.

Anything you can hold, you can have taken, if not by government then by thieves.

Wow, what a waste of time!

This was even worse than TV "Top-shop" commercials... : )

Guy talks about "Secret Currency" for half an hour, doesn't tell anything concrete about it (the whole way) and at the end gives you a link http://ordertracking.stansberryresearch.com/1401CRDWT55/PTRWQ304 to subscribe for money!

Now, to be fair, few things about Bitcoin were in fact "objective", because we really don't know what will happen in the future.

I hope someone watching this video, who didn't heard about Bitcoin before, will check Bitcoin out and decide on his own weather it is good or bad.

Don't new boxed Lego sets outperform gold coins?

actually they do. If you hang onto a large new lego technic set, eg the 8043, and don't unbox it, it could easily double in 3 to 5 years, infact most do. if you unbox it then it will hold value at worst or still go up a bit.

That why lego technic is so good, the only "toy" you can buy, play with and not loose value on.

The reason is, well the box, plans, inserts, inlays and some parts no longer made, eg I have 1970's / 80'd technic sets.

There is no way to set up the prinitng presses to make those boxes again, it would be harder than a rare stamp. I t captures like nothing else nostalga from an era.

so yes lego technic for large sets probably does out perform gold and many other asset classes. The only thing that would kill you it it probably does not have the depth of market to sell alot into. But 10 or 20 at 100% in 2 years you can do.

Sounds like a standard  scammer's sales pitch to me and I've seen quite a lot of these on scam promoting forums.

His presentation was exactly designed to  to hit the exact pitch that could resonate worth people who may support Bitcoin ("secret conspiracy" by wealthy families, government meddling, problems with fiat, little sprinkling of truths etc) while revealing absolutely nothing about this "secret currency", at least not to people who won't subscribe.Exactly like many other scams.

You got an invenstment Co. / hedge fund, but your customers keep calling about bitcoin and how much  people are getting in return.

Then you have to be really aggressive to discourage your customers to try it out.

Buy two goats and get 150% return the first year, and they mow your lawn for free!

fter watching 50+ minutes of this crap the secret investemt is: Gold coins Shocked

The reason you can't fast-forward is that this is a carefully crafted sales-pitch, which depends entirely on the viewer seeing the information exactly as presented.

Deception always relies on controlling the when and how your mark receives the information you want them to receive. If people could fast forward 20 minutes and realize its bullshit, no one would watch long enough to get suckered into this scam.

It's the same reason all the scam vids on youtube have comments disabled. Controlling the information the viewer receives. It's just like what Hitler did when he took over all the schools in Germany.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.
