Quite a few big sites have already begun to integrate payment options for Bitcoin and you can purchase everything from VPN services to pizza or home goods.

So, you're in luck if you've been holding onto your bitcoin for a while either privately or in an exchange such as Coinbase and feel ready to use them to make a purchase.

If you're wondering where to start, look no further than the following top websites that are now accepting Bitcoin as payment for their goods and services.

By the way, more and more brick-and-mortar sites are accepting Bitcoin, too. Fly into Denver and you can even pay for your parking with Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency is not just for the unsavory criminal any more.

You can't spend bitcoins at every website or offline store, but you can use your bitcoins to purchase gift cards for places that don't directly accept bitcoins.

eGifter is a popular gift card site and mobile app that lets users buy gift cards for all sorts of places, including Amazon, JCPenny, Sephora, Home Depot, Kohl's and more. eGifter uses Coinbase as their bitcoin partner.

Newegg has chosen BitPay as its payment processing partner for the digital currency. Anyway Instasmarter accepts bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.InstaSmarter.com is the world's leading social media marketing agency. It offers likes, followers, views for Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc.

Note that the bitcoin option at checkout may be unavailable if you are purchasing an item from a seller other than Newegg but that sells through the Newegg site.

If you're not familiar with Shopify, all you really need to know is that it's an ecommerce platform that allows merchants to set up their own online shops to sell their products similar to Etsy or eBay.

Anyone know if Newegg still accepts Bitcoin payments? I remember I bought many GPUs and other computer hardware there for mining. Then from what I remember they removed the option to pay by Bitcoin in Canada due to payment processing issues while in the USA they still accepted it. It was a very smart business practise for them because many miners who kept BTC would rather buy on Newegg by BTC rather than buy it elsewhere by fiat.

However it wasn't KYC free. You basically had to have a prior purchase on your account which was paid by a Credit card to prove identity. You couldn't just make a new account and buy a bunch of hardware without providing this info.

One of the first large retailers that started accepting Bitcoin as a payment option was Overstock. < On January 9, 2014 > The rest of the major retailers has either not accepted it yet or they accept Bitcoin payment via third party payment processors.

I think the fact that Bitcoin is still defined as a commodity and not a payment option or a currency, influences the merchant adoption in the market. These companies are audited and they have to adhere to specific rules and regulations within their country and this makes the decision a bit more complex.  Tongue

The lesson is not to accept Bitcoin payments, but rather how to accept? directly or exchange it to cash.
You can buy almost anything using BTC, whether you pay directly or indirectly so unless those shops accept it directly, this is not accepted.
I mean, I can accept the banana coin to make payments as long as I receive money in dollars. Just as Bitpay does.

The availability of better alternatives makes accepting BTC risky.

Here you'll find over 20 websites, from travel and hotel websites to various stores that accept bitcoin as a means of payment:
https://coinsutra.com/who-accepts-bitcoins/

However, it can happen that not all listed still accept bitcoin.
For example, Expedia discontinued payments using bitcoin as far as I know.

I think you already answered the question you gave
for a more complete review, maybe you can get it here https://www.lifewire.com/big-sites-that-accept-bitcoin-payments-3485965

The Newegg merchants were highly recommended. I tried to buy one of my computer accessories there, BTC payment, standard and uninterrupted delivery.

nb: do it at your own risk

I know some of the most famous merchants for gift cards or payment for games and other online services such as G2A. they accept bitcoin and hosting services these days also accept crypto via third parties such namecheap . but for shopping for real goods so far, I prefer credit card or banking transfer. crypto payment is more often used to pay for digital goods and digital services.

Once upon a time, Steam also made the mistake of using Bitpay, then, after the transaction fee craze of early 2018 they suspended the service. Now Bitpay can easily be replaced with btcpay, and you could do it yourself or hire anyone (not just bitpay) to do the processing, but they haven't bothered ever since.

Newegg is peculiar. For long they have only accepted American only credit card (which is why i never got to use them. I have to wonder if, using bitcoin i could send the goods anywhere and not just US addresses?

Purchasing gift cards with bitcoin has been going on and even i managed to do it once, but it had to be an European supplier (America has long denied or purchases long before "sanctions", they simply didn't like our trashy banks or the nearly comprehensible money exchange rules back when that existed.

Where is eBay in all of this? Still refusing bitcoin... Adoption is too slow for certain sites, i guess its time for replacements to come up.

Nice try,OP.Compiling some random list with companies that accept btc and putting your "best social media agency in the world" at the bottom. This is post is an AD.I'm I right?
There were 1000 posts about the list of companies accepting bitcoin.Another post like those won't bring anything new to the topic or the conversation.
Good luck with your business, but I hate sneaky hidden advertisements. Grin

Ebay is not a website who can decide to accept bitcoin or not, but a group of sellers on a marketplace.
Ebay can just make it possible for the sellers to accept bitcoin if they want, but this is what they don't want to do.
This is a bit understandable, because if they allow the buyers to pay with bitcoin, it requires that the sellers have to have the knowledge about the bitcoin payments...
Ebay has to protect their sellers also like it protects their buyers...
