With 2 new medals in Tennis today, Croatia has already matched their 2nd best Olympic result - winning 6 medals (also 3 golden) in London. With a few more athletes that are favorites for the medal remaining in the competition, we might even match our Rio result - 10 medals in total.

We only sent 59 athletes to these games so this is a tremendous result. Just for comparison - we had 87 in Rio and 110 in London.

We are currently 13th overall, which is truly an amazing achievement.

Huge result this year on the olympic games from Croatia. Was expect 1 medal from Metkic and Pavic but wasnt expecting an all croatian final . What a result from them. Djokovic could have bringed 2 gold medals to Serbia in tennis but is fighting for 2 Bronze medals in the end

I'm not really sure if Djokovic can still compete in the next 4 years in the Olympics. Tennis is such a brutal sports I would say and it will really put a lot of wear and tear in your body. He had like an injury 2 years ago and then come back strong. But he is already 34 years old and be 38 by the time of the next Olympics. And there are a lot of things that can happen in the next 4 years if he continues to chase the record of Federer, which likely he can break. His bid for the golden slam has ended with this lost to Zverev though.

Furthermore for every drug on the market there is a alternative, but these athletes know taking those won’t enhance their performances, hence they ignore those alternatives therefore I don’t support these kind of exemptions because they’re unfair.

Not exactly! In fact, there is no country that wins the Olympics.

But, the table is organized based on the gold medals, as they are the most important.

The monopoly on track and field was taken over by Jamaica sprint starts when they started to keep their talents in their shores, earlier if you check the past Olympic sprint champions majority were from Jamaica but relocated to Canada or US because of scholarships and actually what happened was they used to have scouts to recruit the best talents in Jamaica and once that is over they are dominating that.

I won't be surprised if they finish far below their tally in 2016 (46 golds). On the other hand, the Chinese athletes seems to be on fire. Back in 2016, they won a total of 26 golds. And till now, their tally stands at 23 gold medals (with half the medal events still to go).

China is grooming players especially for Olympics from an young age from the early 2000s and it is not a big surprise that they are catching up and dominating the medal tally.

of course they are unfair and most people know they are unfair. The whole thing is
so shady, When I see athletes winning I immediately think what drugs they are taking.

If Asthmatics for example are winning so much they are obviously getting an unfair
advantage. Normally medicated Asthmatics would perform similar to healthy
opponents but over medicated healthy athletes obviously have a massive advantage.

I say legalise it for all and let the athletes take the risk of over medicating and damaging
their bodies, let them weigh up the risks against winning a Gold medal.
