You can bet until 19-11-2014, I am bullish on Bitcoin but getting +15% is the price is less than 10,000$ is a no brainer, the odds will change; do they do a weighted bet?

Weighted bet is the multiple of the bet sum and the number of minutes left before betting deadline. It is used for payoff calculations in order to promote early betting for higher payoffs.

yeah, it's a good site. you can check that they have paid every bet on the block chain. bitcoin is the future of gambling.

I bet yes a week after it went up. If it happens, that's a yearly salary right there and then I'm taking my old man to Cyprus and letting him talk my ear off about all the ruins they got littering the place. If not, I keep buying and will have more total BTC when it does happen. Either way it's a win.

Me too, I still believe it could happen. However, the silly site would accept bets for 7 more months so even if the price starts moving closer to actual goal, the bets would get diluted quite a lot, unfortunately.

Aren't you silly now are you? Bet is paid out in bitcoins. So instead of 1 bitcoin you get 5, at 100x profit. See?

You bet a week after the bet went up so you would probably make a lot more than x5 since you would be making x4 betting now if no one else bet and the bet has been up for 4months

If you bet no and lose you lose 10,000$ if you bet no and win you win way less..

Let me remind you guys, once Bitcoin reach ATH of 31 USD, then it crashed and took nearly 2 years to regain that mark. We might need another 2 years or even more just to reach $1000 again. $10000 this year seems to be unrealistic at current situation.

Exactly but it was a very different time; people have heard about Bitcoin they will buy more when the financial crisis will hit the US and Europe

Reaching 10,000$ this year is possible but I would estimate the probability today at 4-5%; 3-4000$ on the other hand...

I am on the yes side. Consider that the Second Market Bitcoin trust will be available to small investors before then and there is also there is a good chance the Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF could get approved before then. In fact if the latter happens BTC/USD could go significantly higher than 10000.

Think you get a higher payout the earlier the bet is put in but not certain on how bitbet works myself
