Is Bitcoin Still Better than US Dollar?

Was Bitcoin ever better than US dollar? I think this is very complex question.
Our world is still created in a way that we can't function without fiat currencies in everyday life, that is why fiat still has advantages compared to cryptocurrencies.
But Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are giving us alternative and some new financial possibilities, that is why my answer that combination of US dollar and Bitcoin is the best.

I skimmed the news and was a little confused. And again, 75 billion dollars isn't a little money. I am sure there is something big besides the economic crisis with the printing of 75 billion dollars by the US

Bitcoin is important because it is one of the payment alternatives for the world community today.

People are still glued with traditional money which is fiat.
To change is that is a lot of hard work.
Yes we are now in the world where credit cards or other plastics are the means of how we pay then we just pay the bank with our account. We dont even need to use the paper money anymore as long as banks say you do still have a balance.

Now bitcoin, the smartphone era is here. Every human being even kids can handle one of it.
We now use applications which will just scan a QR code then you can pay.
It is upgrading but it is still fiat which is being used.
How much better could bitcoin offer about this?

It has to be admitted at this stage in time that Bitcoin could not offer much as compared to fiat. That is in terms of convenience and comfort. Fiat is still way more convenient to the majority of the people. They could just leave their bills under their saucers in restaurants when they hurriedly need to go. That cannot be done with Bitcoin.  

What Bitcoin offers right now is actually more than just convenience and comfort. They offer freedom, and real ownership, and transparency, and so on, but most of the consumers as of this time do not care about those. They care only that they can pay conveniently. They are oblivious that fiat is a tool of slavery.

There is nothing better, both have their advantages. It is wise to use them carefully as needed. USD is effectively used for transactions in the real world, almost accepted in all countries, while BTC excels in the digital world, so it is. Avoid debates which are superior, focus on each function, then maximize it.

I think Dollar have security plus America alone is more efficient than half of the world , the reason why dollar is falling is because of the president .. if we take that guy out of the equation I think Dollar will win undoubtedly.

Unfortunately bitcoins doesn't have a back up nor does it have a proper stability , it's not legalized and in this world government support means a lot which is very scarce when we think about cryptocurrencies and bitcoins.. therefore we still have a long way to go.

The same with dollar, sometimes news are also manipulated by some big companies out there to broadcast that certain information in order to manipulate the mindset of the readers.

We all know that bitcoin have plenty of advantages compare to dollar but in terms of the signal that you are talking about. I am that sure of it, let's just hope that it is so there will be a light to all the US citizens that continues to use and support the bitcoin.

simple, because they just don't really understand bitcoin. as far as I can see, the use of fiat like the dollar still dominates compared to the use of cryptocurrency. It is undeniable that most bitcoin users are entrepreneurs or business people. of course people who don't think about it will support US dollars compared to bitcoin. many governments also reject bitcoin because of things like that. but I believe that little by little they will be aware of this, and may focus on bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.

I can cash out my bitcoin into a dollar and send it to my bank account. I can buy my daily need for money. I don't think we need to feel bad with that news and I think the news itself might have been manipulated or it's fake news. I never think serious with the news from the government as I am sure they can do whatever they did. But if they printed more money, then we will see a crisis not too long after that if the government cannot control their economy. Too much money in the public will makes a decrease and inflation if I am not wrong, but I could be mistaken for that because I don't know anything about the economy of the country.

Its better to be posted again because there a re new members here and they are trying to seek answers regarding this issue. Dollar is a fiat and it can manipulate by the state and bitcoin cannot. Bitcoin still the most powerful than dollar because you can earn it n many ways. Everyone of us here makes bitcoin as a source of income which is worth it and many of us became rich because of bitcoin.

what about those whales ? they are the ones that manipulate bitcoin right ?  bitcoin is the one that is manipulatable the most but fiats like usd are can only be manipulated minimally  . btc is unstable but it can be used on both ways  , that is for investing and paying but usd is more stable but can only be used for paying  . so my vote will go for btc because its a multifunctional  coin plus its also decentralized   . we have a freedom when we use btc than on usd or fiat

US Dolar look have stable price than bitcoin with fluactive price every time, US Dollar maybe have higher or lower about 1% to 3% but bitcoin could raised up more than 50% in one year.

Which does not make it better. Dollar is stable because it has much more users but it can also be made unstable by the government. Nobody can destabilize bitcoin at will. Maybe if a government wanted it could do it now, in this early stage, but the more people use it the more robust it becomes.
I like the idea of Bitcoin very much and believe it's going to be in extreme demand once people get used to using it.

When we take into consideration that Bitcoin is too volatile and there is no economic crisis that can affect the currencies on a large scale now, I regret to say that Bitcoin is not better than US dollar yet. But in the future, more people are going to get to know Bitcoin and its decentralized system. Then, they will prefer Bitcoin to the current system.

ccn is one of the worst news site which is always spreading negative news about the cryptocurrencies. I will never watch this instead I usually watch CoinTelegraph and coindesk website learn something about cryptos.

Don’t be angry because you are still using fiat money and we can’t force them to buy bitcoin. We just need to educate more people about bitcoin and let them decide if they will buy or not. If we force them, they might be thinking that bitcoin is just a scam. The mass adoption will begin before the halving, they will realize it.

The thing is they can print out money as they wish whenever they wish and dilute and add more capital to the banks anytime they wish in any amount they wish. They are completely in control and the people have very little say in it. Only the peoples trading affects the prices and that is not nearly the same as printing out new bills. Now trade must increase to make up for that otherwise there will be inflation.

With crypto, there is no central power so no one can printout anything. If you want more then you going to have to mine it and earn it yourself.

Because even if this proves that bitcoin is a superior form of money than fiat will ever be the actions of those at the top will affect the rest of the world especially those that are the most vulnerable, think about all the suffering people will have to go through once politicians lose control of the economy and try to stabilize the economy by printing huge amounts of money, and if all of that was not enough the few people like us that had the foresight to invest in bitcoin or gold will be forced to pay huge taxes to solve a problem they created in the first place.

This is really a long game so lamenting the fact that bitcoin hasn't taken over in 10 short years is kind of absurd. Think about how long it has taken for the US Dollar to get to where it is today (just over 100 years). Now think about how long gold has had to develop into what it is today (countless centuries).

Bitcoin is money and we should have an appropriate time horizon when analyzing its impact.

Not only does this government create money out of thin air, they also create decisions out of thin air. They make moves out of their whims! And who can say to them that 75 billion USD is illegal and has no worth? No one because the control is in their hands. They have long created a law that supports that "emergency measure."

Bitcoin does not have anything like this. In Bitcoin country, there are no lunatic rulers who want to create more Bitcoins on the spur of the moment.

Quite impossible to happen. But how about considering the fact that there' are people that are literally creating bitcoin such as bitcoin cash, sv, abc in the market? It needs a simple task, just try to trust yourself that you can do something like bitcoin, and you will. Going back to the topic, is bitcoin still better than US dollar? Its a no for me, bitcoin has not yet been fully regulated and US currency is -on-the-other hand. There's some practical use of US curr, that bitcoin still cannot suffice.

This new doesn't makes any sense as comparison is a bit weird. Because increased supply of money doesn't shows the supermacy of the currency instead it shows that how bad that currency is. This might bolster economic growth a bit but in the end will end up inflating everything around us and might not even have effect on our personal disposable incomes. Therefore bitcoin is better than us dollars in atleast this context that it just can't be printed whenever the central government is in a budget crunch.
