2 Years of bear market.. what to expect next

People realize that there is no use case for alts other than speculation. Even ETH, what have all the ICO's accomplished, literally nothing. I don't see one world dominating Crypto and agree there is room for other projects for specific use cases. However right now it's all speculation, ETH hasn't had one killer app, other than bilking investors for money via ridiculous ICO's. People thought projects like Augur would change everything, but it's not even relevant. Once BTC hits $100,000 and enters the realm of sound money and store of value, then we will see other projects emerge successfully.

Agreed, altcoins have been a huge disappointment and not a single one of them is close to become a rival to bitcoin, so most likely during the next years what we are going to see is bitcoin becoming more and more dominant as time goes by, if I remember correctly there was a time in which the bitcoin dominance was above 90% and I do not really see why that scenario could not present itself again when institutional investors come to the market.

I wish I could see again bitcoin dominance around 70 to 90 percent. Cause thr truth is only few altcoins helping the market and still btc is the one that make it go up. that' s not good if bitcoin dominance aroud 70 or 90 percents.altcoin market will have no more support from investor.bitcoin price will also get negative affect too.normally in my opinion bitcoin dominance only around 45 percents.good altcoin will get support from investor and cryptocurrency market will be balance.

in a short amount of time? what makes you think like that? just a speculation from you or the results of your best analysis? I don't see the best momentum that can make the market move quickly. 8 months seems like the right time to show the market in real recovery. if shortly the pump may occur very briefly and then you will see the market collapse again. I guess you remember what happened to bitcoin in June until July this year.

I like to oppose on that, I've been here before and after the bull run and I like the market when BTC dominance is below 50%.
Also, this market is not only for BTC only, otherwise we will not see it grow, our main purpose why we are investing on btc because we believe on it and we want to see it grow, with altcoins this market will become a better market with different projects that could offer to different needs of the people.

Its true that altcoins are really struggling but if the entire market will again become healthy, a low dominance rate of BTC will result to a more balance market, less manipulation, so less volatility.

Being mentally prepared will save you a lot. It will helps you to keep away stress that will surely triggered if you have good numbers of assets inside your wallet, you need to hold on and think for long term investment instead of trying to short things out and mistakenly place your position. Most experienced traders will continue to chased this cheap coins and keep buying to add with their holdings, believing that market will bounce after this downfall.

i see from other perspective. yes you right altcoin have been low and lower everyday

or , that what exactly happen , i mean , as we see right now , even saint peter wont touch the bloodbath of crypto market.
the only hope for ending this bear is just from that halving of btc.
because i cant see anything aspect to make market raise, baxx still growing , probably 2020 will make affect to crypto market according some analyst , SEC rejected Bitcoin ETF, recently velocity of btc has been slowing,USDT activity has increased above that of BTC, meaning the market is pretty much at the mercy of the stablecoin.

That would likely to happen, they are a big county with big influence on their ally country, if they will adopt crypto and blockchain, we can expect that other countries will follow as well. I've been a firm believer that the reason governments aren't too friendly with crypto is because it's hard to keep track of and tax peoples holdings. Now, if China actually does come out with their own currency, I have no doubt that it will be easy to keep track of who owns what along with any other sort of restrictions that government places on it's citizens. Just look at their tax brackets. Anyone making over 80,000 CNY pays upwards of 45% in taxes. They're not going to want to miss out on all of that taxable income.

All the markets behave that way and you should get used to it, when everyone is expecting the price to rise then most likely it will not because as you know the number of those that can make money in the markets is always lower than the number of losers, this means that when the majority is expecting that something will happen that is when you should stop and think that smart investors are not going to invest their money just when everyone expects them to.

Firstly, surge in price of the cryptocurrency market won't last but the statement of the Chinese government was not the reason behind the shootup in price of market for the Chinese are yet to recognized Bitcoin and altcoin and the only purpose they recognized Blockchain is because of the benefit of it in creating their national crypto. Meanwhile, the surge in price of the market is logical price momentum which crypto usually experience when halving is a couple of months.

Concern the OP question, crypto market is improving and halving effect is what will trigger the total bullrun market but some altcoin will still die when the bullish market start.
