I think that is because of bitcoin price was drop deeper than the last price, and now we saw the bitcoin price reached $8k.
That makes the altcoin especially ethereum gets down too, but that will be temporary because after bitcoin can move to the higher price.
The altcoin will follow too, and that will happen too with ethereum.
It is a good opportunity to buy any coins in the market because all of the altcoins have down again so we can buy a huge amount if we have money.
But if you are afraid to buy more, then you could only watch the market moves up and down without buying one of them.
No need to worry if you see the market is like this because that will be back normal soon.
Lets we wait and see what will happen in the next week and meanwhile, people already rebuy many coins while the price is low.

Bitcoin is going to zero if you like it or not.
For the moment I am looking for a buy opportunity as everyone is scared and want to cash out.
The biggest question that you should ask yourself is why bitcoin is going up and why is going down ?
One thing only which is squeeze.
Long and short squeeze.
Back in 2017 the only reason bitcoin was going up is because of short squeezing if that is a term.
Amateur Traders kept shorting looking for the top " with the help of the crypto delusional of course thinking that bitcoin is their lotto ticket" they are forced to close their position "AKA long bitcoin or buy Bitcoin" which leads to increase in price.
The opposite happened few months ago:
Plenty of traders were shorting the 6k area, gets a pump to 7k they are forced to close "Buy bitcoin"
The most likely scenario that is going to happen now is to spread fear and uncertainty so everyone goes short.
That is your moment to buy to ride with another short squeeze.

All I can find was talk about BAKKT but its very unusual for the market at these stages just fall in such %. No major news was released that would influenced the price so you should keep an eye on your coins. I predict that the price will jump back up by the end of the day or tomorrow.

Well,I guess that the 2018 price pattern might repeat.The bitcoin price might crash back to 4K USD and stay at that level during the entire winter.I think that many bitcoin hodlers and traders were waiting for Bakkt to cause a bull run,but that didn't happen so they are just selling.Don't worry,the price will recover next year. |

The last rally went from $19k to $3k.
This time it the high was $13k so expect about $2k

I think everyone was shocked too with what happens to the market ever since the start of bakkt there's a dump happening already. Some people expect a growth of the price yet it is unexpected to see what just happened. Bitcoin price dump too since there's a drop of a recent hashrate. You can find more here or in the internet if you search them. And since most of the coins are following the trend of Bitcoin it's expected to see a drop of the price in most altcoins.
There is no reason for the fall. I do not see anything in the news, Altcoins and Bitcoin were dropped. I don’t even know whether to wait for the recovery of the price or we came to the bear market |

The drop of bitcoin was not surprising. A lot of people were waiting for it to drop, but nobody really knew when it would have happen. If there is not enough buyers to maintain its price, it drops.
I suppose some people need money and had to liquidate their bitcoin and altcoins. That's why you should only invest money you don't need into cryptos.

Just because you have the information two years ago it doesn't mean it is enough to prove of what you said. Remember, the market is always unexpected when it comes to the price and just yesterday the unexpected happens already. Everyone was expecting the price to grow up yet the opposite just happen and now Bitcoin is dumping to $8k. |

I've seen so many assumptions why the coin prices dropped suddenly. Some said its linked to BAKKT, some also said a whale sent huge BTC to an exchange and dumped etc but all these might not necessarily be the reason for the gross dip. We already know crypto is highly volatile and anything can happen the next moment with market prices.

I just hope it's just a normal cycle and maybe not because of a negative issue, because at the end of today at least we can see altcoin starting to improve and it's different from bitcoin. If this continues, it is possible that the altcoin season will come and the increase will be more significant if indeed the decline that occurs is just a better preparation for a bullrun.
I have not seen any signs of a price increase for the past few days and all coins are on a downtrend in this market. We are at a very bad stage and many investors with poor psychology may be willing to panic sell anytime they want because they are under great pressure from this market.
