Cryptocurrency markets continue to stagger but there has been much talk in recent weeks and months of an alt season. But is this really going to happen?

Surely everyone is waiting for the altcoin season to come soon.
But when will the time come...? No one can answer that question correctly.
Some people can only predict with a variety of reasons, but almost 95% of the predictions were not true.
The altcoin market has been sleeping for a long time, and hope to wake up soon.

I don't know others are saying, but I believe that the altcoins are reigning already. Yes they might not be at the very top, but at the very least, they are doing very good in the market, despite the instability of the market right now. I suppose in a more stable market condition, their light would shine brighter, and it is going to be a bull season soon for altcoins.

I think altcoins should have some kind of growth, because we have been waiting for almost 2 years and nothing good has happened with altcoins in terms of growth, but the price drop was on an ongoing basis, so that sometime growth will have to come, but when it will be, of course it is very difficult to say, and I no longer expect that there will be the same growth as in 20017, there will definitely not be such growth anymore and should not be counted on.

I like to consider the last quarter of the year as the season of everything in every market. If we have waited for two years like you said and altcoin is still not working, you should know that there is a problem somewhere that is yet to be solved for altcoin to get back on their feet again, and until the problem is solved, I doubt if we will really witness any increase in the value of altcoins again generally, except those altcoins that naturally do surge when bitcoin surges and vice versa.

Now it is not only about projects not having real use case, but there is something that is not pushing people to make use of those coins for all the purpose they can serve except bitcoin. People are just shifting their attention to bitcoin now and if care is not taking, the bitcoin dominance may rise up to 100% of the current dominance and this may mean doom for altcoins.

I don't share your opinion with btc dom may rise up to %100. Even for whales, altcoins are the biggest tool for increasing amount of btc holding. So it always be an altcoin market for that purpose.

Well..it will come soon yeah but this soon means at least 6 months in my opinion. I do not expect anything big until the end of 2019. But I wish the best for 2020 which I think will be the best season for alts. I am really excited for this term and waiting impatiently.

If bitcoin reaches its all time high in 2020 then we will see altcoins will rise after then we can call that alt season. yes it will come, but not for now maybe next year. we can only hope that the altcoin season can come sooner. From all the talk about the alt season, I see all say the season will come when bitcoin starts pumping. and the pump will start before halving. so hopefully that happens.

Alt season may come when alt coins start to move separately from Bitcoin. Last run of BTC from 3.2K to 14K and than hit to 8K, we see that alt coins were crushed in all conditions. BTC UP alt coins down, BTC DOWN alt coins down and BTC stable alt coins down.
First new money and new investors are needed at crypto market for bull run. After money in the system, alt coins must behave separately from BTC so we may see the next huge bull run.

It is difficult to estimate when alt coin will get its season. From the current trend, there is still a lot room for alt coins to grow. All the market is down and BTC also down but this is good time to buy altcoins if you not and if you hold altcoin than you should hold them till December 2019, I hope at the end of this year altcoin season will start because ETF may be approved this year and after that BTC and altcoin season will start.

the possibility of alt growth will come as soon as bitcoin prices experience a high spike, as we have seen from previous years when bitcoin rose sharply most of the alts could follow it. some long-term investors certainly hope that there will be an increase in market prices in 2020, because for almost the last 2 years this market price correction has always been the case
