Bitcointalk community is all about knowledge sharing. It is important to represent your answer in such a way that people can understand the crust of the discussion and share their views.

There are tools in Bitcointalk which can help you in better representation of your thoughts. Here is a small effort to list the tools, their use case and guide to use them.

BB Codes:

BB code or Bulletin Board Code which is generally used for formatting your text in the required style for ex., Bold, font, alignment etc.,

👉 Useful threads/ Guide of BB codes
Instructions on how to use BBCode
SMF Bulletin Board Code (BBCode), Help post for beginner

Table
Table is generally used for tabulating the data. Using table more complex data can be represented in rows and columns under the specific headers.

Emoji's for header and Content
Emojis are pictorial way of expressing emotions.

Signature

** Table and few other topics come under BB code but have shared more links on topics which are widely used for better understanding.

Please comment if I have missed any other tools.

Actually, the most important thing is to get your posts read, and many of us just skip over stupid posts that are pretending to be web pages. This is a discussion forum, and not a webmaster's design showcase.

No matter how useful the topics are, without formats it’s useless and many formats will make them look faint.
One of the things that make topics worthless is the lack of image format, which makes it lose much of its appeal. Unfortunately, the above guide does not provide much information try ----> Guideline on posting images (with size adjustments), hyperlinks or ---> [Tutorial] How to add image, resize image and make image clickable
You can also add some basics of separating paragraphs, quotes, lack of color usage, font sizes and more.
Also, quote complete topics for replies. I hope people stop doing that.

When I'm coming over a post, where I don't know how the user was formatting it (because I like the style and it would be helpful to use such a formatting style for improving the readability of my posts), it's very easy to just quote that post, then the BBCode of that replied is copied as a new reply in your text box and you'll see how it's formatted. It's very useful to get an impression of different formatting styles. I've collected some ideas how to format tables here: Some suggestions if you want to use tables on Bitcointalk. Tables are essential to get the data visualized.

And personally, I just skip huge walls of texts. I expect at least some formatting like dividing the text into paragraphs. If you want to present a very professionally formatted post you can have a look at guides from shorena like "How to sign a Message", that guide is most likely (one of) the best formatted posts around here and in addition to the knowledge very easy to read.

Some of my favorites:

  • horizontal lines (or a bunch of them) to divide the article into different parts
  • using sub-headlines (and increasing the font size + using bold text for them)
  • tables to present data
  • lists to reduce a long text
  • using colours to highlight important parts (but not too much to keep the topic readable)

And using BTC for BTC.  Wink

It is indeed very important to know about how we can resize images which is important thing to do to avoid occupying so much space just for one image only. A topic that has format will make the topic organized especially a topic that you need to use a table code to create a table.

I have three topics that relate to yours, please check.
[TIPS] to avoid pyramid quotes (for Newbies)
Guideline on posting images (with size adjustments), hyperlinks
[TIPS] to avoid plagiarism
The forum also has its own Help page for Posting: SMF User Help: Posting

Reading to knowing and applying guides above to avoid nested quotes will make users' posts cleaner and more eyes-catching.

Reading to knowing and applying guides to quote appropriately to avoid plagiarisms will help to secure users from permanent bans. It is a pity if someone get permanent bans as a result of plagiarisms just because don't read rules.

Applying guides to adjust images' width/ height for your posts or when quoting posts of others.

@hugeblack
Will add the image guide you shared to the initial post. Quotes, color and font is explained in the BB code link shared. Thanks.

@tbct_mt2
Will add the link to the initial post. Special thanks on the Help page you shared. I explored it for the first time today.

Keeping up and learning to be able to be a presentable writer like this post. Hats off to the writter there may be many such professionals in the community.

It is important to represent your answer in such a way that people can understand the crust of the discussion and share their views.
The most important thing if for the post to be helpful to the community, what's the essence of a well designed and presented post if it isn't helpful to anyone.

If someone posts meaningless content then there are moderators keeping an eye on such comments and account. I am addressing to the crowd that is here for actual learning and understanding and communicating purpose.

Also, if someone post with design and no useful stuff it is even more easy to identify and report to moderator.\
