I guess this was possible if there was an organization that will manage it for them. If there are no useful equipments for cryptocurrencies it wasn't possible. Also, they must be somehow have a knowledge about cryptos so that they became aware about its system.

If you look at the recent approval of Binance by accepting the fiat-to-crypto gateway for Nigeria’s Niara shows how there is an impact for bitcoin in Africa, if an exchange is to add Niara as a trading pair then it is possible that the trading volume is higher. So it is accepted in the African region and it will make an impact in the economy.

2) What did you expect? Compare to Japan and China, which both countries have a really good civilization ever since--in tradition, science, and military. In Europe, of course, they also have a really rich history here and there. While in Africa, they've been treated "differently" (disclaimer, I'm not belittling them I'm stating facts)--of course they wouldn't be that civilized as their counterpart countries (or continents).

There are people in the Africa that are educated enough to handle projects related to blockchain and there is already existing projects there that are blockchain powered.

I wonder how well these "projects" are right now.

I don't think it will. Decentralization means individuality and the government purpose was to unite and make progress to the country they govern. Though bitcoin can be good to them but it doesn't mean they have to be decentralized as well. It will surely be a problematic society greed everywhere will start to occur as everybody wanted to be on the top.

I am not really sure about the position Africa has in the list of countries with advanced technology. But Africa has the equal opportunity like every other country of the world to change its fate with the help of blockchain technology and crypto currencies. Nobody is stopping it from this. If what you mean by change here is poverty alleviation in Africa, in my opinion very little change can occur. Problems in Africa are complex and systematic. Political, military conflicts and ongoing human rights violations have led to very small investment figures in African countries. For human resources, education and health issues can be fixed but conflicts of interest are difficult to resolve in Africa, and systemic poverty caused by other countries' foreign policy towards Africa as part of providing assistance and also loans to Africa.

It is indeed that the corruption in Africa is severe, but I don't think that it will be a hindrance for adopting blockchain technology. If there will be an individual or a group of people that will push through of using blockchain technology, who has enough knowledge and experience using it, proposing to adopt it to their govenment can be possible. Africa is not late on using technology, so I know there are people in the country that has somehow heard or experienced using it.

There is nothing to worry about Africa as they are one of the top country who has the most number of Bitcoin users or crypto enthusiasts, they believed well in crypto and they are actually developed some of it.
