When most of the part of a continent like Africa is still suffering for their basic needs like food, clothes etc, so it is not a good time to talk about the crypto coins. very nice points here. maybe to add: in coutries which have more development to go through, some steps are just skipped. and middleman problem is bigger in some lower developed places, so blockchain might be a solution. i think of usecase like the land register. so there cannot come any dictator and claim it is his brothers land, or at least not so easy..

yeah it's sad to see reality like that. the intentions are good and I am sure blockchain can indeed change Africa but if there are many who commit corruption, changes in any type will have no effect and ultimately will be useless.

Not only this but it is also better for cross-border payments. It can control inflation. Economy can be improved with the help of blockchain. There is nothing to worry about Africa as they are one of the top country who has the most number of Bitcoin users or crypto enthusiasts, they believed well in crypto and they are actually developed some of it. There is also a study that Africa will be one of the homeland for cryptocurrency as the adoption is rapidly increasing. For sure in the coming years, crypto adoption in Africa will be more popular.

Numbers are not enough to make a change or to make development even, to say that there's nothing to worry about. Because Bitcoin aside, there are so many things to worry about in Africa.

And those developed cryptos you mentioned, I wonder how well they are right now? For all I know, it's just some scheme for scamming people.

The good thing is that till now the African governments haven't taken a hostile stance against the cryptocurrency usage in their jurisdictions, unlike the case with some of the Asian countries such as China and India. But even then, the usage levels remain very low in these nations. A lot of hype is going around cryptocurrency usage in Nigeria, but the trade volumes tell us that the usage is quite low there.

That is because Asian countries (such as China and India) are more developed and independent from other countries/continents, especially Africa. And real talk here, I believe politicians in Africa are busy corrupting the country and eagers power for governance. And I think because of that, the government doesn't give an F to Bitcoin.

MPesa = Mobile Money which is identical to a cashless society. The MPesa package is very different from the blockchain. If what you mean by change here is poverty alleviation in Africa, in my opinion very little change can occur. Problems in Africa are complex and systematic. Political, military conflicts and ongoing human rights violations have led to very small investment figures in African countries. For human resources, education and health issues can be fixed but conflicts of interest are difficult to resolve in Africa, and systemic poverty caused by other countries' foreign policy towards Africa as part of providing assistance and also loans to Africa.

The growth and adoption of blockchain technology in Africa is indeed very good because it is supported by the small level of trust of the African community and the world community towards banks in Africa and the government does not reject the cryptocurrency but government disclosure and adaptation to blockchain technology is not enough to solve chronic African disease.

I think most of the 3rd world countries don't really follow any family planning. And I think it is most likely because there is no policy/law passed on regarding the number of children from each family allowed in a country. IIRC, China has a 1-child policy, because they've suffered from a lot of issues from having such a massive amount of population. If I'm not wrong, China is really handling it well enough. After all, it's a very powerful country. So Africa might consider doing the same thing.

China has a good family planning but do you really think that all the Chinese are educated. Poverty is everywhere, even the rate of this curse is high in countries like America. Though there should be planning in everything, but who desire to move forward do not come up with such excuses. Today we have sufficient resources to get skills. I don't see any correlation between the level of corruption in a country and the use of cryptocurrency in Africa which can reduce its value. Blockchain is an option with the aim of accelerating and validating transactions.
Why in Africa and other conflict countries, crypto is usually used as a solution because of TINA (there is no alternative).

What is needed by Africa and conflict countries is an opportunity to survive, how they can survive is by means of the many jobs, jobs need investment.

China sees the potential of Africa, so China mimics the American strategy of siphoning Chinese assets. True, but those living in countries with high corruption are trapped, if the blockchain was adopted then corruption will go down but for the blockchain to be adopted you will need honest politicians that care about the people and want what it is best for them, but if they had those kind of politicians then they will not need to blockchain, and like always the dream of a change coming from the top does not work, if we want the blockchain and bitcoin to improve the conditions of those living in Africa then each person needs to take the personal decision to adopt it one at the time.
