I don't think you made a mistake investing in bitcoin rather investing in the wrong time. The bitcoin market had a bull run from April to July this year where the bitcoin price grew from $3,200+ to almost $14,000 and now the market is going down which makes it not a good time to buy bitcoin.

Investing in Bitcoin is not a mistake rather its an opportunity but it depends how you grab it. Bitcoin is a very volatile in nature, it can multiply your investment in a short time and the same time it can drastically decrease your money invested, so its very important to chose the levels before investing into such a volatile asset. Technical analysis study and reading sentiments can help you choosing better levels. If investment is made at the right point I do not think there is better investment option that Bitcoin.

investors come in very large when bitcoin prices are very high. they then buy Bitcoin without more analysis and understanding of bitcoin. and their hope is that the price of bitcoin continues to pump. but today all of their assets are reduced by more than 50% on bitcoin. most say it's a mistake, because of buying bitcoin. but in my personal opinion there's nothing wrong with buying bitcoin. this is a long term investment. the only mistake is they buy at the peak price. keep holding until bitcoin returns to give 2x profit from now. could it be.? crypto is a future asset. believe it will happen.

My answer to this question is, give it time. Just be consistent, then with time you will start enjoying its benefits, remember, Rome wasn't built in a day

You know this question is unavoidable...
DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN?
A lot of people have heard of the benefits achievable with BTC investments and decided to invest. The recent market setbacks have brewed a very big question in the minds of new investors...
What will be your response to this question?
Nope, I don't think so. What you could have done wrong is, investing crypto without learning and studying about how the market moves and what could there be as a struggle upon investing. Give it a time and also take time for you to learn what you can do to avoid loss. Don't be someone who are to afraid that little setbacks could maje you think this way already. Just stick to the market and take time studying what you could do so when a setback hits you, you wont be lost.

Hello guys,
Please don’t be upset, but I find cryptocurrency very interesanting, yet very complicated for me. I would really like to get started but I’m on very low budget, and I saw a couple videos how people are trading and mining but all the processes require a lot of investment. All I did so far, I managed to create a wallet, 3FHwxycZ6dAYK73zAMQDxyH8oG1UozsQWP and sent £20 on it Sad If this post doesn’t belong here, you can delete it, but seemed the only way I can ask for support from a strong community. Please consider helping me get started, every little drop counts and can change somebody’s life.
Thank you all, Linda

Did you make a mistake the OP asks in investing in Bitcoin?
Hmmmm..
Well, If you invested in 2009...er not so much (if you have some in HODL mode). Myself 2013 (have some in HODL mode) so in that case, NOPE not so much.
If you bought at the last ATH of around $18k for BTC and either you are still in HODL mode ....not sure yet. If you sold at a loss...well, yeah the investment did not work out.
If you look at BTC/Crypto Universe being a bit over 10 years old now. But look into the future and hope for 1/10th the drama and improvements of the last 10 years you are golden!
My advice to people collecting BTC/Crypto now...Attic Mining....sell crap you would otherwise die with or useless on eBay and buy BTC with it. Just be a bit consistent and HODL.
BTC/Crypto may not work out, you may have wasted your time and the stuff you find you really did not need anyway on BTC, but on the other hand, what if the next 10 years
is like the last 10 years for Bitcoin. What if we are ALL underestimating badly what is gonna happen, as we did 10 years ago when BTC/Crypto started?
So we all know, that it MIGHT not work out and such. But not enough people NOW are thinking along the lines of but what if it does work out in the FUTURE, and are not,
even in a leisurely, laid back manner, getting BTC/Crypto Dust...just in case it pumps again and I/we are surprised in a good way again, 10 years from today.
This is speculation, but I have too many friends that were so sure BTC/Crypto in 2013 was just a FAD and now they say they 'missed the boat' and the price is too high.
So currently, I'm in the dog house with the above argument, what if you are wrong again? Why not pick some up in the manner I mention above as a 'lark' in case BTC/Crypto
goes even 'mildly' parabolic again in price in the future.
So sure, this is speculation, BTC/Crypto could go tulips, it could go sideways in price or down and price and just be a 'niche' thing for years, having reached its use/adoption and/or
keep its 'hobby' status. But remember, it also could go ape/sh*t/parabolic crazy in the future as per price again and adoption. Thus not much risk with my attic mining idea.
At worst you become more of a 'minimalist' and get rid of some unwanted stuff. The best part is that you did get rid of that stuff got BTC/Crypto for the stuff and it all works out
for you in the next 10 years as it has in the last 10 years.
Anyway, what I'm doing now that 10c kWh electric for mining and the 25% USA tariff have killed that hobby for me. This is my BTC/Crypto kinda method of 'metal collecting on the
beach" ...do the above for fun, get rid of some stuff, get on here and you can tell me if I was right or wrong.
What the hell, take a tiny chance on the positive view, rather than the somewhat 'daunting' world view IMHO, of the majority of people who did not get into BTC 10,5,3,2 years ago
and have a reason to want it to fail, if BTC/Crypto fails they won't have to face the fact that they coulda/shoulda/maybe could at least done some of the above and HODL
and it is easier to sink someone else's hopes, than face the fact that you never hoped in the first place and now it has bitten you in the ass.
(well, that digressed quickly...above went mean...sorry about that)
anyway, what I'm doing as a coping mechanism now that I can no longer do andy ASIC mining to feed my miner addiction anymore.
Just saying.
later

No, I definitely don't think it was a mistake investing in Bitcoin. If your strategy is good, you're going to be just fine. Yes the market has been bearish, but if the analysts are correct, we're heading for a bull run in the very new future. The bull run will probably be bolstered by the Halvening in May 2020, and if history is anything to go by (December 2017), BTC could very well reach new heights. Also, as long as you're investing carefully and through a reputable platform like Vertex, you'll be fine.

The people that invested in bitcoin years ago are the ones enjoying their bitcoin profits for their investment. If you want to make decent profits from your bitcoin investment you need to HODL your bitcoins for a couple of years. Bitcoin investment requires patience, and wisdom toward the market.

Do not invest into something you have little or no knowledge about. What are your strategies? Do you have the trading skills? Are you patient?. No, it's not a mistake to invest into Bitcoin but if you're looking for daily or monthly income then Bitcoin is not the right place to invest in.

I really disagree, because I can say that I am making a profit with bitcoin. Investment is not just easy to earn money, we all need to wait. Patience is a virtue. They can only say that statement because they are looking base on the price of the bitcoin itself but not looking forward to what will happen in the future if we all wait for the right time that the value will rise up again. Having courage while investing is also important if you are new on investing you should have that kind of attribute for you to earn what you want to earn. Have some study in every step you make or every decision you make. Do not panic when the price dumps, the nature of cryptocurrency is that crypto is volatile in terms of price.

I think thia was the good time to invest in bitcoin so that when the price pumps you will gain a big amount of profit. On the other hand nothing is for sure so it ia better to try alao other cryptos and separte your investment. Dont just rely on a sinngle crypto and try exoloring other so that there are different market you can observe. With that your funds are separated and free from losing it at a single moment of time

I have the opinion of anyone who invests in bitcoin, I make sure these people are very fortunate and have a lot bright future. So it is clear from my statement just now that there is a sense that it is not a mistake to invest on bitcoin. So no need to hesitate if you have more money, please buy bitcoin and hold long-term, in the future it will yield big profit. But the key you're must be patient.

You ask people on a Bitcoin supporters forum if you made a mistake by buying Bitcoin. What the hell do you think the response will be??? What would people on a BMW drivers forum reply if you asked them if you made a mistake investing in a BMW? My response is: your post is spam.

Soon bitcoin will be one of the good long term investment that every people with a lot of savings have. But the thing is gold can be sell in physical and it is legal with high tax I think unlike in bitcoin it can be traded and mined in internet. No, I definitely don't think it was a mistake investing in Bitcoin. If your strategy is good, you're going to be just fine. Many people loses their hopes in bitcoin many years ago but still bitcoin is alive and has a great value now. Bull run will be by next year I think that too.

It is not a mistake that something you do, if it does not mean that 100% will be bad, you should take a risk in life. But it's not always up to the risk, experience, smartness and awareness are paramount. If the worst, or the bad one you put into investing in Bitcoin, happens in the end, you need to learn how to defeat the gentleman, and do what life does: "continue."
