I wanted to create a thread to get a general idea of what you look for when you're betting with your Crypto's.
I'm a developer myself & building a betting platform right now - I thought where better than here to ask for advice!

Should be simple, quick, no login or other nonsense (obviously no KYC etc). Should work on a slow computer or phone without lagging.
But your question is way too broad I think. What are we even talking about? Dice? Slots? Cards? Sports betting?

What kind of betting platform are you developing? In general, these features are what most people look for in a crypto gambling site
1. Instant withdrawal with a low, reasonable fee. 2. Low house edge, provably fair 3. Mobile friendly, fast engine for games like dice

Well, important things that a crypto betting platform need is that it is easy to use, less ads, if there is a log in then it must be easy to create account, provably fair which is what bettors are looking for and the most important of all is no KYC is needed when people withdraw their assets. Having KYC in a betting platform beats the purpose of crypto which is anonymity.

Thank you for the tip about anonymity I think that is very important, didn't quite think about it much until now

Add onto that instant deposits! (If sat/byte is sufficient of course, or if the user is known to the site). As for mobile: have an app ready, lots of people looking for those today (not sure if Apple/Google Play permits it though..)

It's all about knowing what sort of cryptocurrency betting you are planning to build. I would speak directly on sport betting and dice. I use cryptocurrency to bet on sport and I look for site which has great odds on there games and when it comes to dice I love site with fast payout

So when I go to a betting site I prefer three main things: Trustworthiness, timely and efficient deposits/cashouts, and good support.
Trustworthiness is a major thing for me because I don't want to deposit and have them run off with my money. I would want the platform to receive my money and have it ready for me to play by one or two confirmations(standard protections against double spends which I don't mind), and if there are any problems a good support should be able to help me fix them(or try to fix them) with decently fast response times(or at least a live chat but that isn't really something I worry about too much, long as it doesn't take a week or something to respond or something then I'm fine with a couple hours/a day). I don't really mind KYC but I would prefer to not send it over.

How would you know if a site is trustworthy by looking at it? you cant assess the trustworthiness of a new site. it will take time to establish their reputation in the market. but if you are a new gambling site and you dont have anything to prove to the players yet, one way is acquiring a decent gambling license if you can afford one. this means, you are serious about this business and not just a fly-by-night gambling website. if not, it will take time and many players to attest the credibility of the site, good feedback and reviews from previous players will give you insights on how that site is treating its clients. and on my end, no kyc, fast response of the support, easy txs for deposit and withdrawal, low house edge, provably fair of course!

How would you know if a site is trustworthy by looking at it? I'm sorry to join in but for me, it is how the technical support would handle their customers if there is a problem in whatsoever in your website. By then, the people will give you a review as you gather more and more customers to play in your gambling platform. Either negative or positive it still up to you to handle us/them.

For a crypto gambling site, signing a message showing the size of bankroll would be far more serious than any license. Still doesn't prove trustworthiness though.

Good customer support, non-KYC, more accepted crypto, etc. are mandatory things to have so its kind of obvious that any site should have this especially the new ones in the industry.
I'm more concern about large bankroll.
But how we, as users, can determine that a site do have a large bankroll? Honestly, it's a private matter to the gambling owners so no way we can check it.
However, on my own criteria, once I saw a new crypto sports betting site doing paid advertisements, wonderful promotions, stunning website design, serious marketing to the point that they are spending money on it (establishing sig campaigns, buying advertisement space etc.), "maybe" I can put a shot betting at these sites.

What is sought is the basics, and then what comes is part of what you want to achieve, but you can say that:
Security. No KYC. Instant withdrawals. Support for any problem with quick response. Trust. Promotions Awards.

I guess some sort of security knowing that if you win big the site will be able to pay you out is important. Wonder how I can achieve that? (Showing proof)

It should be provably-fair, easy access, no KYC, fast withdrawal and active support and developers, and also a good user interface and games. There are a lot of online gambling sites that is popping out and only those who have this characteristics in their platform and services gain solid supporters and active players. Not to mention good promotion and give aways.

Of course, It's a must. Someone already mentioned here some ways that you can do to prove to others that you do have enough bankroll to cover all winnings. I don't see yet a gambling site operators show proofs on their bankroll but instead, these owners put up some efforts to promotions and marketing.
