If we look at your advice, we can already see it was incorrect -- folks shouldn't have sold their alts into btc, they should have sold both alts and btc into fiat. But that's just an example of nobody knowing how this will play out.

And BTC is back to 8600 today. As I said I'm not aiming this at traders - some of them might be able to make money from these ups and downs. Not most bag holders tho. And in the long run you know I'm right. BTC is the the equivalent of DJIA. Alts are the penny stocks. Yeah there will ups and downs and there is a slight chance of BTC stumbling here and there. But it's pretty much guaranteed that most alts will make their bag holders miserable.

If talking about a long term hold -- just stash away the coins and forget about them for a year or two, you'll be right more often than not. At least in my opinion, I'm not an expert either, just guessing like anyone else.

You are right even though there are many coins that do not have a good volume in the market but there are still some profitable coins to invest, therefore you must be careful in looking for profits in them, especially for coins that can last a long time so I'm sure there is a lot of trust in them. the most important thing is looking for opportunities for profit when investing, not just putting the funds owned and hoping there are profits in it

I would always suggest newcomers and even the old ones to make bitcoin as their first choice. Only this currency can help them in attaining big money. We all have seen bitcoin produced millionaire. I am not against trying new coins but one must do some good research before taking such risks and the amount invested should also be a small one. Bitcoin is the best investment so far and should be the start of journey for any investor.

The advice “Sell it all now” certainly has the right to be. But, even if I sell all my tokens and altcoins now, the amount in the BTC will be negligible. It was necessary to sell then, in 2017-2018. Now it remains only occasionally to observe and look to the future with hope.

You are really right and I am of the same opinion that I will have time to sell all my assets at any time and get a very small amount of money for it.  In any case, I have no other choice than to wait for the improvement of the situation in the cryptocurrency market for those projects in which I am an investor.  In this situation, I can somehow lose everything, and if I have the patience and wait for the corresponding price increase, then perhaps my expectations will be rewarded.

You have a point, but don't you think that maintaining at least a minimally diverse portfolio is a better idea? True that around 99% (maybe the percentage is a little bit exaggerated) of the alt coins are shit coins. But trust me, most of the people know that but they still invest on it. This is because they have seen the market. They have seen how those shitcoins sometimes get pumped to the "moon" and then dies. Most of them just invests on it to take advantage of that pump and tries to get out as soon as possible. It is more like a gambling for them. Indeed, some altcoin is shitcoin in the end if there is no progress to advance the coin and also left by the developer. This is a mistake for a developer who is not serious about running his project and does not want to advance this business. Lol. I like your response. Just because Altcoins aren't as profitable as they were in late 2017 doesn't mean they are worth. From what I know, most people have made some good amount of money this year from altcoins. I'm the kind of person who doesn't like leaving money on the table. So I like to have a piece of both worlds. Bitcoin is good but getting hands on some quality alts, that's a PLUS.

Literally you can't confirm that Bitcoin dominance will last long. We are starting to believe which coin has bullrun. By the time January 2018 Cardano was 4-5 coin but today out of 10. After more update Cardano will come back. You should support bear time of coin, yes I'm talking about good volume coin.

Well. Some of this tokens that you are talking about might end up surprising you. I think the best thing we should all do is to keep tabs on all this tokens we are holding because when you check their telegram group and their social media pages, you will have an idea if all hope is lost or there is still light at the end of tunnel. Warning: its never a loss until you pull your money out, even if your coin once worth hundreds of dollars and they now worth ten dollars the ball is in your court, you should sell only if the project is a bad one or the development has worsen, altcoin season will return do not be in haste

But this assumes that at some point in the future the price of your coins will recover and there is no way to be completely sure about it, if you bought some of the best coins in the market you may have a point, but if you bought some altcoins no one has ever heard about most likely you should try to recover whatever you can out of those coins before they go permanently to zero, remember holding is a great strategy but only if you apply it to coins that are worth it otherwise it can backfire spectacularly.

You know how this is going to end. You might be trying to lie to yourself, you might be secretly hoping that some token in your "portfolio" that you have 10 million of is going to moon to $50 and make you rich, but let's be real: that is not going to happen. Even the allegedly strong altcoins like LTC or ETH or whatever is cool these days (I've been out of this game for a while) are not doing well and BTC dominance is growing. Which makes sense if you think about it. BTC can do most of what any altcoin can do and the few really useful features that BTC is missing (private transactions for example) are implemented by multiple altcoins, fragmenting their market share.

And the elephant in the room: 99% of altcoins are total garbage. They're called shitcoins for a reason.

Sell your altcoins and tokens. Take the proceeds in BTC, stick it into a cold wallet, keep some online to play around with Lightning and other things that actually matter for real-life stuff, like being able to buy something. When was the last time you were able to use for example Ethereum for something tangible, not to buy some garbage tokens or to play a game?

Do it today. Your grandkids will thank you.

No one can't tell what will happen in the future of every token we have even btc that we hodl, don't be so panic and frustrate to every news or any thing can cause of panic selling. If you are losing in investing then it is your fault because you bought too many shitcoins. If you are going to be investing for long term holding then you should not buy shitcoins because they are only good for traders who want to buy them low and sell them high for a quick profit and not a long term investment since they don't have any value in the market.

It's true some of this final altcoin feels annoying and makes us lose. Every day a new project is emerging that can be perceived as the one without having any innovations and benefits that make the altcoin dominant too much.
Investors also end up not taking altcoins or ICOs to invest because of their risks. So many people are more dominant in Bitcoin for the long term.
But if it is already happening in such a way all the portfolio is dropped and many losses immediately loose and sell all your assets better haha

Each coin has got its capabilities and not all the numerous altcoins on the market will certainly survive the crypto race. This means that not all altcoins can be held for long term hence it becomes very imperative to sell some for other promising altcoins. All these can be ascertained through the performance of extensive research on the coins in question.
