No one can't tell what will happen in the future of every token we have even btc that we hodl, don't be so panic and frustrate to every news or any thing can cause of panic selling. The better we do is be more observer in the market manage well our assets and don't be so panic. It's up to every person if they need sell all and buy btc as you can see the price fluctuation, think many times before do any step.

While it is true that no one can tell you exactly what it is going to happen to every coin we can make an educated guess, and while coins like bitcoin and ethereum will eventually surpass their all time high we can safely conclude as well that most coins currently in the market will at some point disappear, this is not something you may want to hear but it is the truth and the sooner you accept it then it will become easier to take the right decisions regarding whatever altcoins you may be holding.

There are several altcoins that I have, not that I hold back, but I can't find the market and can't be sold. Indeed, altcoin is now trashy and useless. But not all altcoins are like that. ETH is still very popular, I have used ETH for the purposes of paying for the domain I bought, and it is very useful. not a bad idea to sell junk tokens while they still have prices and turn them into btc granules. but for me personally it doesn't always have to be that way, if you have potential altcoin and the team is still active in developing projects, it's better to keep holding on for a while or at least until they have a good sale price, but if it doesn't have more price development further, then immediately sell.

This is the common problem we have right now, we have the coin but we have no market to sell them. Most of them are from bounty campaigns and airdrops which turns out to be a scam project, and those shitcoins were stock in our wallets.

ETH is different from those shitcoins, eth is promising and we can really see that it is a good investment and has a future. The demand for eth is still increasing and still dominant to other altcoins.

this is bad idea selling our assef just for recover our frustation.when we sell and hold the money with small amount  i am sure we feel regret and want to rebuy again.it still have possibility to recover its value when market recovered,we just need to be patient till this moment coming.when we decided to invest our money ofcourse we understand the risk that may occur when market crashing.cut loss could working good if we loss less tha 20%.

Thats true, if you sell your altcoins at this moment wherein the price is not acceptable to sell its like wasting the time you waited for the price to increase.

There's a well-established alts that are good to hold and currently has a cheap price, instead of wondering when will bull run going to happen take advantage this bearish trend.

Only weak investors will be tempted to sell due to lack of patience and trust to the coins they are holding. Well its not surprising especially if they bought their coins without proper knowledge and understanding.

I strongly agree with you that generally selling off all altcoins right now as suggested on this thread isn't the best idea since you will sell at loss most likely. For example, I've been holding XLM and today the price went up considerably due to burn announcement. There is always a time for a good coin, just hold if price is bad. I'm not saying it's good to hold all altcoins, we ought to do research.

Take the proceeds in BTC, stick it into a cold wallet, keep some online to play around with Lightning and other things that actually matter for real-life stuff, like being able to buy something. When was the last time you were able to use for example Ethereum for something tangible, not to buy some garbage tokens or to play a game?

You summed it all in this thread, I seldom look in the announcement thread anymore to see what's coins are hot now, and also stop checking to see the bounty campaign if there's a good bounty going on right now, but all are just hype, surprised to see that so many bounties are having 4 to 10 months run, hoping to get funded, investors are more looking on the coins in the market, than a new coin which cannot guaranty a good place in the market.

Agree with that, its good to think realistic when investing in crypto as its really true this is a high risk investment.
A lo tot of people failed already because this is not for them, let's just make a simple explanation like that.

almost all of the new coins are junk, you can see lots of shitcoins being born from new projects and only a few of them survive because they already have an exchange even though the sale price is not feasible. it's better to invest with coins that are already established or already in the top 10 in the market.

I will sell only altcoin not potential for holding in long term and always support with new coin for investing, I not faced panic time when you ask me to sell my altcoin assets because I know which one altcoin have to sell, if I invest with top altcoin on coinmarketcap I never worry although many investor ask me to sell and keep holding until price back to expensive.

What would you get when you sell your altcoins in 90% loss?

10% of your money that you will not get otherwise? Holding your coins is by far the most common strategy in the forum and the market in general but what many seem to miss is that you cannot hold all coins and expect good results, good coins to hold are bitcoin, ethereum or litecoin but if you want to hold a coin that is outside the top 100 then you will suffer losses close to 80% or 90% and while at that point the decision to sell will be a hard one it is the best you can take.

No matter how you put it out, we can't just focus on bitcoins, they are called altcoins for a reason. alternative coins not to replace bitcoin entirely but to solve the little problems that bitcoins can't serve. we all know that currently, the price bitcoin is on the high side and not everyone can afford to get one. altcoins are there to support and serve same purpose. they are not going away at anytime but many will be replaced with new ones.

for me this is not the right time to sell altcoin now, but if you buy cheap coins then the price multiplies from the beginning of your capital so sell immediately because it is your right. I have a top coin and I buy it when the price is cheap, even the percentage of profit that I get may be 3x the initial capital but I prefer to hold it until the market really improves.

I agree with you to an extent though. Truth be told, you made good points which are totally true because it's reality. Most coins are total garbage with nothing to offer than being pumped and dumped. However in the midst of these, there are still altcoins which are worth holding just like BTC; the only thing is we have to be careful of them. My favourite altcoin has always being ETH and XLM and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
