For someone who is still finding his or her way up with crypto it will be very hard and challenging to rely on long term investment because they can take you years to achieve your aims so long term investment is only good for those who have other ways of making money

Through that, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have their co-currency that will save the value that each trader has. That is the stable coin in the market. basically in the beginning, earning profits in trading is so hard, but if your assets is already in huge amount, so as the profit that you will get for each successful trade. So earning is not that long, it is exponentially becoming faster as you continue.

We cannot predict the value of that coin when choosing to invest because whether you choose short-term or long-term, the only purpose is to make a profit. This market requires a lot of patience from investors and not every project can bring you good profits. I think the short-term investment is only suitable when the coin is in the growth phase because it is a very easy time to raise prices if there is good news.

Personally, I don't care about time because if I have to make a profit, I will find a way to sell it because in this bear market, the profit must always be the first priority.

I prefer long term investing. Long term vs short term investment will give you a wide difference between them in terms of risk and profit. Short term is more risky because the prices will always move up and down but the larger picture will give you a rising line. If you are looking at the long term you don't mind the little price drops every now and then. A lot of people are emotional because they are deciding based on short term movements.

For the long term, we must have a good amount of investment. The short term investment is also good, we can get profited with it even for a day if the price increases a little bit. In crypto, i'd argue that the best approach would always be long term. Just take a look at the people who bought bitcoin when it was only valued at less than $1, their investment has grown so much that if they'd kept at least 100 bitcoin they could probably already retire by now.

On the other hand, short term or day trading can also be prove profitable but you'd need to do a lot of research and analysis, as well as a lot of luck.

I like short term investment with short duration for trading or investing, but when I can't get moment with short term trading I will use other way for long term but if price down I will cut lost, I don't want all my asset only keep with investing with lower price without increase to higher because I think is not good ideas and I can use for other coin.

I guess beginners here in the forum doesn't know that this specific topic already existed. Short term and long term investment had a big difference. Short term can also be profitable but the most efficient of all is the long term investment why? because when you bought the coin and the demand of that coin increase for sure the coin that you bought will increase it's value and you are the one who will be benefiting from it.
The longer your investment passed by the better.

OP's post is effective for traders that are full time trading or no other jobs than trading, it can also be done anyday were available if we really see that coin moving such price in that condition , then taking some time will really give us earning, but we cant say that this day every hour will set it ups and down some days purely drops and some days are into uptrends. It depends on our activities and time needed before we can do that way plus the time needed to watch and  analyze whether that. But remember, alt will have that trend. Some coins are good for holding and some are really for trading.

This is depending on your strategy whether short or long term investing and capable to earn.  In day trading it is fine as long you have full time to manage the swing of price. And you know the risks in everyday trading since the price is volatile. I’m into long term investment because of the time that I can manage.

Both like me if you want short time Investment then you need good currency like BTC ETH etc but if you want long time Investment then you need other coin like choice top number in cmc. Actually short time Investment not bad if you can consider happy for some profits but don't expect it here you will never take rich quckly.

I will trade in the short term if I can find a coin which the potential to buy and sell, but I think that will be difficult in this situation. There's nothing wrong if you hold for long term, it's depends our strategy how to make profit from crypto. If you don't have a job, well you can do full time trading, but for me it's not easy to make profit in day trading. I don't agree with you on this. You don't need to be rich before you engage in a long term investment. Its all about knowing and understanding what you are investing into and having a reliable plan and strategy.

Some might misunderstand the difference of short term and long term investment.
For short term investment, you need to set a period where you can sell your coins at the right price but within the period, usually for me, a 6 months is the longer period I can hold if I go for short term.

now, speaking about the coins, I think BTC and ETH are both good for short term and long term investment, why? because they are dominant and if this market will recover and we will see some pump, we can expect that BTC and ETH will lead.

I personally do both short-term and long-term investing. For long-term investing I choose bitcoin, because bitcoin is slow-moving
and also very dominant in the market. It makes bitcoin a choice for my long-term investing is feel safe, I plan to hold bitcoin for 2 years.
I am sure for 2 years bitcoin prices will fly high, of course I will enjoy profit. For short-term I choose to trade daily, I will choose
altcoins whose movements are unstable to take profits. My favorite Altcoins for short-term BNB, PHB, LINK, XLM, and BSV.
With these coins I will play daily trading with the strategy that I have prepared of course.

One have to try just to find out which one will be best for you, you might find trading to be your choice or long term holding, i personally will choose long term holding because of better worthy profit you will earn, compare to short term its not easy to make profits even if its daily e.g trading

For me I prefer the investment in short term because you can get an enough profit in a short amount of time, than long term investments in which you need to wait for a years or months to get profit, and in investing on long term you must know what would be the outcome after several months or years.
The difference in long term is you need to wait an months or years in order to get profit but when you succeed you will earn a lot in long term investments.
