In the crypto world that is anonymous or not, scam acts often occur. The trigger is that they can have a lot of money easily. Create a new project, open ICO or IEO then spread the news to the forum. One thing that is certain is that a scammer will always be around as long as the crypto world is on. Either a scam project, or an individual scammer, or a runaway developer. To be sure, multiply your knowledge and expand research before plunging.

I still can't understand what the fate of altcoins will be in coming years, scammers keep ruining everything and i doubt if regulation will make a difference or even worsen the problem because i research on the biggest crypto scam project which was bitconnect and they said FBI are on the case but till today nothing.

this is what will come to the attention of the government. does it need legal regulation or not for crypto. the concept of crypto decentralization which should be a breakthrough for future financial transactions. now it has been used by scammers. besides that most of the crypto users today are beginners who lack learning about crypto.

In my opinion, every government must work towards legalizing cryptocurrencies, so at least scams through startups with their ICOs get in check. I see millions of dollars being invested but as soon as the coin hits the market the founders sell their share making profits for themselves and resulting loss for the investors and users.

All this comes down to the individuals who don't invest their time doing proper research before investing their hard-earned money. Scams have been happening for centuries, changing their form as technology changes and we must educate ourselves to avoid them.

Just like i used to include in my points that scammers is the main problem crypto is facing presently i come across this news on the internet today about how scammers keep on contrarily influence the digital currencies. As indicated by Changpeng Zhao, the CEO and originator of Binance, there are in excess of 1,500 Binance con artists on the expert informal community LinkedIn. The quantity of Binance scammers on LinkedIn can in the end arrive at 1,605. Now imagine how big scammers are damaging crypto

What can we do we don't have regulation and scammers can easily get away, if they are caught they will just rest a few weeks and after that they are here again with a new look a new site a new concept but same people, scamming investors, it's an endless cycle that won't end.

False identities isn't a cryptoscene problem. The problem is that in Linkedin is unregulated and accounts are not a proof of anything.
Literally anyone can create a page there and fake an education and work history; there's no trust system of any kind.
Funny thing is that this could be probably solved with a zero-knowledge proof.
Right now we are the perfect target group for scammers, but that's one of the things we have to pay for not being a regulated space.
We might not fix stupidity, but we can fix the issue with false identities.

Scammers these days are broad even in banks and other domains. In the crypto world, it’s really the problem facing these days and scammers continue on their wrongdoings as this their way to have an easy money. Never invest without knowing the project. So people should go through studying a project first before concluding to invest.

Scammers take the crypto opportunity to fool people and to steal their earnings. That why we have to be smart to get rid of them. We can't fully eliminate them so we must be the one to think of ways to avoid them. It's also a good thing the crypto users here are always reminding each other to be aware of scammers. I wish that time will come where we will be able to erase them in crypto world.

We can't rely on any form of laws to deal with scammers, all we need is within us by identifying scam projects we need thorough researches and avoid them at all cost, when people start doing this scammers will become powerless, the first lesson for all crypto newbies is doing research and we must let them know that scammers are always present in crypto space

Let's face the truth.. There are scammers in every industry in the world. Take for example the car industry, forex, stocks, you name it. People will find ways to make money in ilegitimate ways until the end of the world. That's how some people are wired, they want to make it the easy way, but if you look closely, stealing is not the easy way because you will live a miserable life.

I wouldn't say that scammers are the biggest problem in crypto, but we should take the necessary measures to point them out and especially make informative campaigns for beginners on how to stay away from potential con artists.
That's the fact, scammers are everywhere and trying to eliminate them is simply futile but scam can be prevented by using education. by educating people in crypto the scam will drastically go down because fewer people are getting trapped. it's like the case of why people are switching from ICO to IEO they are just tired of being scammed and only invest into something that has a really small chance to be scam and more legit despite all the complicated requirement to enroll into only one IEO from big popular exchange they'd still prefer it over losing money.

There will always be scammer in something that exist in the internet. Because the scamers can hide their identity so they will scam people who are not aware and less careful in cryptocurrency, or greedy people who wants quick profits but ended scammed by the scammer.

I think cryptocurrency is a repository of fraudsters and criminals like that because with cryptocurrency all the proceeds of crime can be disbursed without the knowledge of the victims meaning that the best money laundering does exist in cryptocurrency and this makes the image of the name cryptocurrency worse.

Just like i used to include in my points that scammers is the main problem crypto is facing
The frauds and scammers are everywhere and they try to take advantage of the stupid people in the market and if some people are falling for the scams then you can call them dumb, i have seen many projects in the market advertising promising future but felt through in the end and majority of the projects were created to make money from the new market. Bitcoin is the only coin you can trust and if you stick to the core then no one is able to scam you.

Scammers are everywhere wether online or personal. We can't stop these people to what they are doing but we can rather protect ourselves from the harm they are bringing to us. I'm pretty sure a social media platfrom such as Linkedin have already fugured this out and they are currently evaluating possible solutions but as a smart user, we must not be dependent on it.

If the scamer is already so big, then the development of the cryptocurrency world will definitely be hampered, and such a large number is already difficult to destroy, maybe for now we can only be vigilant so as not to include victims of scamer and I am sure they will have their own advantages in creating scamer projects.

Yes, and sometimes the number of scammers is more than that. Therefore, investing in ICO projects is very dangerous when the information of the team is provided in an unrealistic manner. It is clear that an unemployed person can become a great businessman with a series of lies about his career.
This is an alarming situation and we should really be alert.

there are in excess of 1,500 Binance con artists on the expert informal community LinkedIn.
Not a surprise at all.  There used to be a rash of impersonators on bitcointalk, trying to imitate the profiles of notable escrows and other senior members, all of them trying to pull scams.  Scamming in the ICO space is rampant.  Scamming in the loan and currency exchange sections is also rampant.  So yes, I would agree that this is one of, if not *the*, biggest issue with cryptocurrency.

And we all know why this is.  The anonymity crypto provides along with its inability to reverse transactions once sent makes crypto the ideal playing field for scammers...and it's not going to get better, only worse in my opinion.  The only thing we as a community can do is to be vigilant, skeptical, and try to educate newbies about the dangers inherent in the space.

When people stop falling for all these scams, there might be some improvement but I'm not exactly hopeful about that.

Scammers are the biggest problem in the crypto space. The crypto world is getting affected due to scammers cheating investors, traders and bounty hunters. So ways must be sought to control scam projects. First of all, people should be fully aware of scam projects. For that, they should research fully beforehand. Regulations can also control scam projects.
