In fact, the problem crypto donations is to convert them to FIAT money which require another third part entity to process the conversion like using an exchange; this is why it's better to use a paiement process to facilitate the process (eg, bitpay or coinpaiement) but this will cost much more fees.
The website you mentioned will lunch his services soon, means the service is not yet active, and i can't really see the advantages of having a digital name instead of an ordinary btc address but from what i can understand the donator should deposit his funds in a balance in the platform after finishing the registration then he can be able to send donations to a digital name not a wallet address. Why doing all these in order to donate? I don't want to subscribe in anything and i have no issues sending funds to a btc address.

The one major flaw with such services is that what if they decide to turn into a scam and map their own address with your name instead of your very own address, thereby passing your coins to themselves.
There's no need to involve any middle-man for such trivial tasks, considering their service don't provide much of a value.

Having QR codes is the best approach for such case.

I guess it is no longer necessary since we already have a wallet address and a qr code. When asking for donations the charity institutions just need to place their name together with the qr code. Creating an address with the name of the institutions is just a waste of time and scammers could use a similar address to fool people. Thus in my opinion making addresses for the sake of recognition is not needed.

In fact if we will also have a more recognizable wallet address this would be more easier to make donations by just entering the wallet address you know, because on the current wallet address it's kind of hard due to the long wallet address and the hard combinations of it.

Should be pretty useful for charity organizations or even just companies like amazon, and fast food chains. Can really lessen the hassle of payment if we want to pay using crypto since their address is just basically the shop title if they made it like that. Pretty useful feature, Just hoping it wouldn't die out here without much people acknowledging its existence. Am still waiting for me to pay to Amazon by just typing in their easy to remember address.

I would not support this idea because it would be too easy to copy off the vanity address by someone else.
Say you create an address 1Charity************* then there are still thousands of address combinations with the exact starting characters, as denoted by * here.
It would be really easy to impersonate such vanity addresses.

The optimum idea is to just promote charity's website where all the payment methods are listed.

In terms of recognizable address, there is one solution to it using names for sending coins instead of address we used to use before. Digital names is helpful in so many ways especially in the safeties of your money.

It is true that using names that you have mentioned like BOB, BitcoinBull, CryptoBull as a bitcoin address is much easier to remember than using long and complicated wallet address that has combinations of numbers and letters because it can cause you from making mistakes in entering your wallet address, that is why using this kind of technology would be more convenient for us to enter our wallet address and to avoid mistakes.

Choosing a custom name for a cryptoaddress is easily achieve with coins such as EOS, I think having such for bitcoin comes with its downsides as it erodes anonymity (which is something desirable), I think it is ok you do not have that for bitcoin. No address should be hidden for bitcoin transaction

Because simple names would require some sort of central registry to translate them into crypto addresses, and that is exactly the sort of thing that can and would be hacked.

There's no real reason for using something like a vanity address or something like that. It's just cool to have. It's cool just like having a custom plate at the DMV is cool -- cool to have, but no real reason for the usage.

Just stick to regular BTC addresses and QR codes, why do you have to make it even harder for a company to get involved? Now they have to research how to use vanity addresses and all that jazz.

Nah.

Having QR codes is the best approach for such case.

I don't prefer QR code if through qr will be by transfer since they can change it anytime who ever will forward it. Im a QR user of mobile banks and crypto wallets and Im only using it in paying in a store with QR you personally see to scan it, in a person you're with scanning thru their phones to our phone or if the sender of QR is a verified user. But, it is a good solution if the organization will provide a good website that is fully verified by them.

It's not clear what you are saying, but I think you mean that fraud is possible with QR.

This is true, but it should be possible to design a solution around this problem.

But that does not exist in the current method of use of QR.

It is if only it will be in a way of messaging or thru emails or support emails in getting their mode of payments example if QR.  Some member in organizations might be tempted to give or reply their own QR for their benefit only. I guess having QR in their main website or verified accounts can be a solution.

Although QR codes are unique I've seen some people that encounter with some errors, like a doubled scan one. I think it is pretty cool to have a personalized one, like a username for the address. Out of all of this, be careful with sending to different addresses.

Those types of projects solving blockchain issues and really making it easy to use for anyone. Now look only we just had to type and remember $xxxx to send payment to anyone rather to copy-paste and then double-check those long addresses. We need more this type of project to make blockchain more user-friendly.

Actually, the only disadvantage of having long strings of unrecognizable and is not convenient for memorization is, if it was altered by a malware or a virus to redirect the transaction the owner of the address won't be able to notice it because he, himself don't memorize his address. Having domain name is beneficial for security and assurance that you are doing your transactions very smooth and no threats for you know that the address was yours.
