You're not alone. It's really frustrating at times whenever I remember that--I could've done more, sort of regret. Well, no one really predicted it to be that way. But then again, if I understand it really, maybe I should've focused more on doing it and not take it lightly.

Exactly! People still believe that HODL is the right way to go. But it's kinda pointless now because Bitcoin seems to be more of an investment/asset now than being a currency.

IF you had even invested later in the downfall you would have made Money as btc has crossed 10k again and it had fallen till 3200$ around . Those who believe in it would have definitely invested and hosted it and have become rich now .

As they say (well, actually that is what I say), not all fiats are born equal, and if the US dollar inflation is in fact quite negligible (while we shouldn't compare it on its own apart from the changes in wage rates within the same period as the latter are rising too), this is not the case with almost any other fiat currency out there (except for a few top currencies like Euro and Swiss frank). So the government, or rather governments, are not going to do anything about it for the simple reason they are the cause of price inflation and, most importantly, they are the ones profiting from it

It's illusion to expect that cryptocurrencies will replace fiat currencies in any way. Yes, some fiat currencies suffer from inflation but this has happened many times before and not all fiat currencies are the same and in same position. So expecting from governments to react isn't realistic.
Don't forget that very small number of people in the world is using cryptocurrencies and that is not going to change in some dramatic way any time soon and that is big issue in terms of biger success of cryptocurrencies on a global level

As there are many ways to the top. Personally, I don't mind if cryptocurrencies (say, Bitcoin and a few other major cryptos) turn into a strong and robust store of value (competing stores of value). Then people will keep bitcoins and spend fiat. If you ask me, it is a pretty good "compromise". Fiat currencies are going to lose their value like they have always been doing (maybe a little faster due to people moving their wealth from fiat savings into crypto) while Bitcoin will be rising and gaining more power, momentum and impact as a solid digital store of value. Really, what's wrong with that as long as you are able to spend your bitcoins in the "old way" if you choose so?

If we have a way to become rich and stabilize our financial status, why wont we? Bitcoin has opened new ways to improve economy at individual level. Fiat has mostly brought problems like inflation and hyper inflation due to being controlled by governments. On the other hand, bitcoin not only returns sufficient profits with time but also give freedom of control over one’s asset.

Education holds highest value in the life of a person. Without going to school, e wont have been able to even read out words. It is not possible to survive in this time by not educating oneself. Everyone must at least know the basics of reading and writing. Educational institutes not only provide us knowledge but also groom the personality of person and build discipline in him.

Knowledge is the standard on which wise are differentiated from fools. The more amount and diversity of knowledge someone holds, the easier his life becomes. People who can be fooled will always be fooled by others and this is more like human nature of evils than cruelty of this world. It has become mandatory to have computer literacy at present age because without it, we cant think about surviving.

Well, that's what I personally think (as they say, opinions may vary). From an economic perspective, the difference between regular currencies and cryptocurrencies as exemplified by Bitcoin is not really that big. Both fiat and Bitcoin are not hard currencies, i.e. they don't have any intrinsic value (other than transactional utility which is common to any form of money). In essence, they are simply accounting systems and frames of reference for making "value judgments"

And here comes the key difference between them which lies beyond the pure economic domain. And that is control over the money. The government can easily destroy your wealth (if you are foolish enough to keep your savings in fiat) which essentially means they are in control of it. Destroying Bitcoin is also technically possible but that goes a long way from simply starting the proverbial printing press and devaluing the national currency overnight

That is so true. This is actually one of the common problems among common people that they do not try to make their desires reality on their own but depend on others. Every single investor can bring a change. Even all of them convince one other person, the total number of holders will get doubled. Bitcoin will be making its way to every single person of the world one day, but if this happens earlier, we will make progress earlier too.

did btc ever reached 13k usd this year ? sorry but i forgot it . it maybe long enough , but what i only see is the price usually stays at 10k usd and below   . timing like what you said is still a key to earn even on these low tide's   .

  btc is lowered at 7k usd but i think its nearly not possible for it to climb 10k usd again based on its movement  but i think it can recover until 8 to 8.5 usd  . i heard people speculate nicely about the price of btc by next year , that would be our hope

People have a misconception about the price of the bitcoin, they think that if the market is dying if the price of the bitcoin is going down. They do now know the market cycle, they always thought that the market will always bullish. It is not like that they should know about it for them to not worry about the price of the bitcoin.

I'm not sure about it, but as far as i know the highest it went this year is about $9000.  Bitcoin behaves so silent this year at stays the price at a very short range, just recently it decreased so bad I did not able to buy until it recovers. That could've be the timing I need to basically profit from it. He is right though, bitcoin can still reach $10000 this year or early next year.

Now it pumps again 2%, not bad as it recently downed sitting at $7300 still possible to run higher this year with less than a month. Speculation on bitcoin's price for next year is positive but don't let this fool you, we have seen many speculation that didn't came true.

(quick google). No, it didn't reach $13k as of now. But around July it reached $12.5k, so I guess that's pretty close. And yes, I too believe that it can still reach the $10k price.

Speculation on bitcoin's price for next year is positive but don't let this fool you, we have seen many speculation that didn't came true.

That's why they're called "speculations", there's just a probability that it will happen.

People have a misconception about the price of the bitcoin, they think that if the market is dying if the price of the bitcoin is going down. They do now know the market cycle, they always thought that the market will always bullish. It is not like that they should know about it for them to not worry about the price of the bitcoin.

They're probably fixated from the mentality of investing into other assets, for instance, stock markets that if ever so decreased there's something horribly wrong but compared to Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency), this is completely normal, it is volatile after all.

if it is said about scarcity indeed you are right, supply there will only be 21 million.
I am also curious about what the price of BTC will be when everything is estimated in 2142.

People like me who have been with this industry for a couple of years now are indeed lucky, coz no one really anticipated for bitcoin to go up high where nothing else did. Bitcoin has been recognized after that and the price is still at high amount. Rather than convincing people by showing them what you got with this, why not enjoy it yourself? I mean it is not being selfish, it is being smart.

For me it's exaggerated to say people with bitcoin holder can be sure to have luxurious life maybe the whales who have millions can but the small holders? I guess not. Although bitcoin helped and benefit a lot it still volatile that can either make you 0 or 100.

In the end we are part of a financial revolution much like Tesla in cars- uber in taxis.The financial market is in a recession when you have bankers, government official telling you we are doing great it's to cover up the truth.

I told some friends in 12/2015 that btc in few years will be 10 k . I am no market analyst I just based it on scarcity. Those same friends bought in 2017 and called me thinking I knew what the next target is and I told them shit, I got lucky I have no idea. Four years later  and now I am thinking scarcity again and 95k in a few years is my next prediction because why not we all love a number to gravitate to.

In 2016 saw a youtube video, and in there was a Chinese mining operator that did not speak english well  but would say just buy 1 BTC and many people laughed at him dunno if it was because of his accent or because he was a miner  promoting BTC. I thought about that back than and realized that 1 btc is attainable at 500 usd.

I would tell family and friends and got  a response like I will wait till it comes down.  If those people listened 1 year later would have profited well. Now I tell friends  .1 BTC  I  think for many that is attainable, now the response is did bitcoin not crash. My point is that I think if we educate fundamentals which is tough we might win some hearts.

I think most of us have had a similar experience, I remember that when I first discovered bitcoin I was very excited about it and I tried to make my friends to adopt it as well because it was obviously the future and all of them refused thinking that I had lost a few marbles and then when the market skyrocketed at the end of 2017 all my friends began to try to know everything that they could about bitcoin.

But I told them that it was too late, that the the market will most likely crash at some moment during the next months and fortunately they listened to me but then they lost any interest in bitcoin.

I've been in this field for about 7 years or so and I have learned a lot, I was there when the bitcoin price was only $ 230 or so and the price touched its ATH.  One thing that I want to do right now (which I didn't do in the past) is collecting bitcoin as much as possible, I regret when people told me that bitcoin would hit 15k or even more, at first I thought it couldn't happen but now I believe anything is possible, people are speculating that bitcoin can hit $ 100k, it's better for me to prepare.
