binance and other big exchanges always do their part to investigate the projects before listing them for fund raising but its better to do your own research too although projects from binance exchange are reliable, till date i haven't seen IEO projects from binance that failed

Obviously it is better than ICO because the exchange will not list any project randomly unlike ICO. They need to pass the tests before they get listed on the exchange, meanwhile every project is able to run the ICO because they do not need to do any test and could just randomly run it on their platform.

Good points on how to ascertain if a project is worthy to invest in its IEO or not, but I don't fully support the aspect about checking their number of followers on social media. My reason is because some projects will just boost their number of followers or group members on telegram by doing an airdrop or even using fake members. Indeed! IEOs are very similar to ICOs. People think that if an IEO is associated with big exchanges, they must be promising. But they don't understand the big money game behind it. The larger the exchange is, the bigger fees are paid! These exchanges don't do an extensive due diligence to assess the legitimacy of that project. I will keep putting my faith on big exchanges because they are just better and with their reputation at stake it will be hard to lose your fund to scammers, binance for example have wide history of successful IEO projects and not a single bad one, its all good if you ask me, way better than ICO was, i just which IEO was the first before ICO

I think obviously IEO is better than ICO for the many different reasons. First of all IEO is launched from exchanges whether big or small exchanges. It’s a one kind of your money is more secured from ICO. Because there are no guarantee about exchanges in ICO projects. good information, but I think those who want to participate in IEO already know this. so no need to worry, they must already have the knowledge to judge whether the project is good or not. the problem is not during IEO, but after IEO. many good projects but can not survive the dump, even though it has been supported by large exchanges such as binance, huobi, KUCOIN and others. not because the scam or the project was less popular but the number of investors who bought it when the IEO dumped when they saw the price of tokens/coins increased. this is the problem, you know that almost all of the current IEO projects are always like this.

Make a review of the previous IEOs launched in these exchanges and you will realize that some of them are even incurring negative ROIs.

Can't say all some of the IEO that are hosted by those popular exchanges as a trap or even worse a scam. I check if whitepaper is plagiarized or not. Scammers simply copy from various whitepaper and use this in their whitepaper. You can do it with various free resource of plagiarism

I am also checking the IEO conducted at BitForex, as I know that BitForex is a good exchange too, but most of the time, I am participating in Houbi. Anyway, yes, still no assurance, so we still need a lot of effort for us to know if a certain project is legit and worth our time and money to invest at.

The most secured way of investing is to take part in IEOs on solid exchanges like Binance. They are checking the project if it is legit and are offering a save contribution method with help of their exchange. It is very simple and profitable.

Investing to IEO in all these 5 exchanges means you will have to send KYC documents to all of them. Its not quite an idea to do so when the project isn't as good as listed to all of them. SERO for instance aren't listed to any but only to GATE, I rush to get there and submit my KYC  and bought some but then found out I'm already losing. You'd really have to wait til the token is listed to the ones you can consider major exchanges like binance, Houbi and OKex before jumping into investing and instead avoid IEO.

I really like your write up, same thing I would also. First of all, for me to invest in an initial exchange offering then it has to be binance exchange, KuCoin exchange, gate.io and okex, at least I have seen their success stories and they don't just list any project, they investigate before listing, also the community is also a plus to watch out for and then the team backing the project. All these amount to the success of an IEO.

Exchanges are the most important part of an IEOs, investors will patronize it if it will got listed in a popular exchanges like binance, kraken and etc. The IEO will only lose its value if it will be listed in an shit exchanges.

And despite knowing this there are many investors which are putting their money in ieos which are only listed on bad exchanges as if this is some kind of achievement, those ieos are in my opinion as bad as icos they have no chance of growing up as no investor which respects himself will open an account in those exchanges, as a result of this there is no other outcome for those which invested in those coins but to lose money and it is something they could have avoided by just avoiding such exchanges.
