I have try several DEX, but i not recommend you guys to use DEX. If you are bounty hunter than you can go to DEX to exchange bounty reward to ETH or other coins. But if you wanna trade, than i think DEX is a bad option because those exchange not really safe, low volume, high difference between buy/sell order... And some DEX seem not really legit.
That's is not a safe place when you are using various 3rd software that can contain the malware that can copy your privkey or steal your data. But as long as you are using it in the safe way and that will not be a big problem for you. im still using DEX right now and i have never encountered any problem with it.
I also think like that. our risk of losing assets because of the DEX exchange I think is very large. therefore I never trusted 100% and chose to transfer the assets that I would trade on DEX using a new wallet. it's a little wasteful but I guess it's safer.

I don't trust DEX to, I'd rather do KYC in a legit exchange rather than taking risk in a DEX exchange. It's really too risky especially if you don't know where to check the reviews of those exchange and you are not doing the right research at all then it is possible that you will be victim of it.

We're the same path, I also don't trust DEX and also dont like because of the low volume of trader. Most likely your token/coins that will sell there were at the cheap price. As of now, there is a BinanceDEX exchange, don't have KYC if you dont exceed 2 btc. The number one factor in DEX that I dont like is no support to their traders.

Decentralized they say is having access to your own private key and having to trade without third parties . I so much love decentralized exchanges and I have been able to fish out 3 good decentralized exchanges that are worth it.

1. BinanceDex: BinanceDex is a good decentralized exchange with good volume and it likewise easy to use with good security facilities

2. Idex: Idex is also a good decentralized exchange with good project been listed on it and with good volume

3. Forkdelta/Etherdelta: Forkdelta is another good decentralized exchange that is easy to use

The main thing to remember in order to avoid losing your investments is that you should never store your funds at a crypto exchange, no matter if you choose DEX or some requiring KYC.

As of the moment and as much as possible, I am not dealing with DEX as I don't want to get victim of scam, and I don't want to store funds on those exchanges too. If they will require KYC, then think well,  as you are also risking your identity, so make sure that you are investigating the exchange first before you'll finally transact with them.

You guys are so clueless. -.-

Binance "DEX" is NOT a real DEX, since it's not decentralized at all. All nodes is controlled and owned by Binance themselves.
IDEX enforced KYC, so technically not a DEX either.

SO many of all these so called DEX's out there, who isn't what they claim to be. Even BISQ isn't 100% decentralized.

The only real DEX on the market, is Blocknet's DEX. It's truly decentralized, operated by service nodes. You can read more about it here: https://blockdx.com/

I mainly use the IDEX exchange.  The platform interface is simple and user friendly.  Everything suits me, there are some limitations, but basically everything is fine.  Also BinanceDex is also a normal exchange.

Not really a DEX in the truest sense but I used a new Exchange Protocol today that is in Beta called Uniswap. Nice interface and very quick and cheap swap.

There are many good DEXes today like Binance DEX, IDEX, Switcheo and Nash Exchange, but the most of them have the same problem - low liquidity. You are unable to buy or sell big amounts of tokens on DEXes, so they are not very popular.

I'd like to discuss DEX exchanges and its variety.
There are many of it, and top-lists of top DEX exchanges are appearing often as well (here's an example for 2019). After reading one of the latest articles about it, I started to think -- there's too much info and not all of it is trustworthy. Reading reviews, comparing fees... I'd like to know which DEX platform you use and how did you make a decision about it?
Could you tell if you stick to one particular platform or use several of them? What criteria did you rely on?

I have only used idex for a while. I had no problem about it. But to be honest i prefer to trade in exchanges with bigger volumes like binance, bittrex etc. Because it is hard to buy or sell the things in dexes due to lack of orders.

It is all about people's mindset. Because some people, or maybe most people already confident with centralized exchange. That is why sometime ICO project that can listed in big centralized exchange can be considered to be success.

My only choice in DEX or Decentralized Exchanges are the oldest and long-standing dex in the industry. Because it is trustworthy and proven, Like Forkdelta and Etherdelta but you should still be careful about using it especially if we are not bookmark this. Because we can fall victim to phishing websites.

L I would use IDEX and Forkdelta. Although the transaction fee is quite high there and IDEX is quite time consuming to trade, it is mandatory if you want to sell your shitcoin. I am a bounty hunter and when I receive my token, I often use Forkdelta and IDEX to register and sell it to those who need it. that's one of the main reasons, besides, I don't like DEXs because it's lacking in functionality and lacking in speed. I am used to using CEX and I swear I will never use DEX again.
Agree with you mate, I am using IDEX for almost years since I join bounty signature , I am earning altcoin for years and their exchange is either IDEX or Etherdelta, but later last year I stop using etherdelta, but when I do, I am using a third party wallet called metamask to secured my eth wallet in etherdelta. I dont have any problems with idex. How to avoid scam? Just trust to the most mentioned wallet stated in this thread.

etherdelta still has system problems several times, their user volume has also shrunk sharply, I prefer the forkdelta version. Overall I do not have specific criteria for dex, just often taking advantage of low liquidity opportunities to try to make buy orders that are cheaper than the price of coins at cex.

The fact is that etherDelta is almost not available and almost no one uses it, but given the volume of forkdelta trade, I believe that this resource also starts to lose all its capabilities.  Until recently, I used the Idex exchange very often, but recently I noticed the requirements for registering an account for this resource, and then using the secret key to link my wallet to my account for depositing to a trading account.

I use Idex, Ddex and Folkdelta. I will most likely not use a new DEX that asked me to make deposit of ETH before trading, I prefer automatic buy and sell between my private wallet using Metamask in interacting with the exchange. There is this StableDex exchange it's been series of complains for users.

First you need to determine what DEX is.
non-custodial
both a cross-chain and on-chain protocol
permissionless
asset agnostic
everything that does not fall under these criteria, everything is orangefruit

Liquidity, trade volume, and trading fees are my top criteria on choosing. Forkdelta and etherdelta are the quite popular among dex. If you are still not sure which dex will fit your use, you can try exploring each first and many if them have YouTube tutorial to understand the platform.

There is really no need to be making using lots of exchanges, once I find a very good exchange I don’t see the need to keep searching except if I just need an alternative in case the first happens to disappoint me at a point. So I would say that having two exchanges is enough or maybe three.

There are several DEX exchanges that are really good and there is one which I’m currently using – Waves decentralized exchange. This exchange is the product of Waves, and their exchange is accessible both as an online exchange and mobile. There are still lots of others that are really good and one of my friends once recommended Changelly to me, apart from that you can check out Shapeshift (it’s usually integrated in some wallets).
