I was just going through some of the Bitcointalk features and navigated to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats but, my query was is this stats the recent one?

As I can see the "Forum History (using forum time offset)" last update is Dec 2017. Also, in most if the rows of Forum History (using forum time offset) page views and most online is Zero. Huh

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

I’ts been like that since I can remember. Probably there was some issue keeping some of the information correctly up-to-date and was left aside. The top set of stats seem to be working, although you need to consider the time period behind (i.e. Average registrations per day seems to ponder multiple years, and is not a moving 1 year average for example).

If you’re into stats, there’s a bunch more (non-official) listed here:List of Bitcointalk stats. Most of them are one-off stats, and a few are updated periodically. Not all are included there, as some recent ones are probably missing.

Out of the items listed in the Forum History section, some of the above stats have continued to register a few of those values. For example:

* Registrations:
Statistics of user registrations on Bitcointalk 2017-2019
Assumed monthly statistics on registered accounts of bitcointalk.org (2009-2019)

* Net (Created – Deleted - Moved) Post count (see https://public.tableau.com/shared/5G8SFTFN7?:display_count=yes&:origin=viz_share_link

I remember that in 2017 there were a lot of DDOS attacks that led to the closure of many features of the site and one of them is statistics.

This is a quote. I think from then on, all the statistics are disabled, so you get the wrong results.

Check PROFILE >> Show general statistics for this member.

I might've figured it out. A bunch of things are currently disabled; I'll work on safely enabling them in the coming days.
I think this is the last updated data history:

Again with problem statistics the second day isn't updated. Sad

Even Show general statistics for this member shows error. Undecided

It states:

It’s not really an error. @hugeblack has indicated to you that the statistics on the profile were disabled deliberately, and have not been available for some years.

If you are curious as to what they displayed, it was something like this:

...
It’s very convenient for me to watch forum statistics using the service https://bpip.org/ Here I find all the data that interests me. Try using it to study Bitcointalk statistics.

I agree with you, I love BPIP website and I check it often. But unfortunately in recent weeks Merit stats isn't updated here. Anyway, there is good alternative for it - DdmrDdmr Merit dashboard.

Well, these few days lasts almost 2 years :/. There was some interesting stats to check, but in general it's not very important thing.

I think it was because the forum's servers were going really slowly at the time, there were a few ddosses (as hugeblack said) and many new registrants for the new bull run...

It's probably a similar time that the page of all members also went (which was unnecessarily resource intensive).
