These sites just expose Yobit.net for what it is, they don't DDOS anyone.
It's great to know that in return they don't DDOS Yobit.
What I was trying to say that there are innocents and greedy innocents who trade there and for this YoWar they shouldn't be suffered.

In turn Yobit.net:
1) Runs DDOS attacks against exposing sites
2) Sends threats to sites' owner
Not good at all, rather Yobit should find a way to solve the issues. Yes, I know they will never do it...

Just so you are aware what Yobit REALLY IS.
I am highly aware of what Yobit is... I still have 25 coins/tokens there since 2016-17 and the number was 48+ if I'm not mistaken. Just don't know whom to blame, Yobit? Coin Dev? or both... or just me. Whoever it is, I just never complained because the time I bought those shits was my starting time and as a newbie maybe I made mistakes.

Oh, they don't pay to their customers and what do you think, is DDOS attack something unexpected from them? I guess no.
This company is very shady. To be fair I have no idea why they wanted another bad reputation from this DDOS attack because those websites aren't very famous and in overall when someone searchs for something related to bitcoin/exchanges and even yobit, bitcointalk's forum comes first. I guess they had to DDOS this forum because now there are even more bad threads created around them.
I think soon they'll sink very low by themselves.

I've known they were a scummy exchange for almost as long as I've been browsing this forum and for as long as I've had an active interest in crypto, but it's sad to see that the site's not even trying to defend themselves and is just launching attacks against those speaking against them now. Pretty surprised they're not doing anything against the users on this forum considering all the negative opinions here against them (especially on the exchange's bitcointalk account), though I suppose there's not much they can do about it in the first place.

Where did you get the information on the attacks against the site? Do you operate one of the websites you linked?

This is really indeed a valid thought which if they do react on those sites which they do saw that can affect their reputation then its total
nonsense on attacking those where its much more worthy if they do decide out to clean up their mess instead on minding with those mimic sites.
They do just spent out some money from their pockets on DDOsing those sites yet people doesnt even care that those places existed.

well...likewise op, I'd like a validation of your info, where did you get those?

If this is true, I'd be surprised as I've always thought yobit doesn't care about what ppl are saying about them. Maybe the supply of newbies they're baiting is decreasing? 🤔 but welp, this is a futile effort anyway, as long as the inside is rotten, you can't stop the negative remarks from coming.

Not only that but the owner is now being threatened by Yobit in writing.
Here is what he received from security@yobit.net:
"Our response will be maximally damaging, we have all your personal data now"
Original in Russian:
"a вoт oтвeт бyдeм мaкcимaльнo жecтким, вcя инфopмaция нa вac yжe ecть"

Well done Yobit - true face surfaced!

Can you give us your source for this information? Those are definitely very big claims and that people shouldn't automatically believe 100% without a source or proof.

Also, though it would probably make sense that the DDOS was from Yobit, how did you or YobitScam.net come to the conclusion that it was indeed 100% Yobit that was doing the DDOS-ing?

If you didn't know this is how Yobit threatened some blogger previously (not related to above):

https://i.imgur.com/jneeHhm.jpg
Quite ballsy for them to post it on their official Twitter account though.

EDIT: couldn't find the direct Tweet link. Can you link it here?

If you didn't know this is how Yobit threatened a blogger previously (unrelated to above). Yobit deleted this tweet afterwards so its unavailable now:

IIRC then I have seen this tweet. Most probably it's true.

Yobit site has a section where recent tweets show up and there I saw maybe. 85% sure!  Roll Eyes

Wait; did they actually offered money to someone who would dox him? Is this for real?

Add that to the pile of shit yobit has been pulling if that's actually real, and i wouldn't understand why anyone still uses them.

Slightly offtopic: i received an email from them like a week ago that they were restarting signature campaign again, but haven't seen them popping up.. Was it so short-lived? Anyone know what happend?

Can you give us your source for this information? Those are definitely very big claims and that people shouldn't automatically believe 100% without a source or proof.

Yep that's reasonable. Tell me what shall I ask him to produce - a screenshot of his mailbox? raw headers of the email?

Also, though it would probably make sense that the DDOS was from Yobit, how did you or YobitScam.net come to the conclusion that it was indeed 100% Yobit that was doing the DDOS-ing?

Alright he said DDOS-ing started exactly the moment Yobit found out that YobitScam.net flyers were being delivered on the Blockchain life conference which took place 16-17 Oct. Also Yobit sent the abuse complaint with false statements in it (see the first message) to Cloudflare at exactly same time too. If you ask me, cmmon! who else on Earth would have any interest in DDOS-ing those small boring sites. But we can ask him to produce more evidence. Does anyone know can he ask Cloudflare to investigate/confirm that attack?

Cloudflare can investigate all they want, but they'll never be able to confirm whether it was yobit or not, (unless yobit is actually braindead and DOS'd them using their own servers or something)

Without proof of someone on the inside, all that it'll ever be is that it's just a strong coincidence. They could endlessly argue that it wasn't them.

Doesn't really matter for me whether or whether they did not DDOS though, to shape an accurate image of yobit as a company, considering the other facts -> (Pump & Dump schemes, no support etc), but i neither would be surprised at this point if they hired someone to stir some shit.

Where did you get the information on the attacks against the site? Do you operate one of the websites you linked?

Yeah that's a reasonable question - I don't run these sites, I got this information from the sites owner (who I am in contact with ever since I discovered those sites). So I forwarded the question about the proof of DDOS and received back more insights into the story!

Apparently the DDOS attacks happened when someone decided to distribute flyers with YobitScam.net QR codes on them during the Blockchain Life 2019 conference.

Here is the screenshot snippet:

So Yobit hurled 214M requests upon the site on Oct 16.

Well done Yobit - true face surfaced!
is there any other evidence?
I'm not sure if yobit is carrying out a DDOS attack on the site. Yobit himself did not publish the news. your proof is not strong, is only a picture. it could be edited / right-click + inspect (LOL). Hmmm, is this just acting?
if there is other evidence please edit your post.
_____
if it's true that yobit did DDOS, maybe yobit's reputation will improve.  Roll Eyes

Yes, they did tweet something like that, and later deleted it. I was shocked by thinking about how a business fu**ks their own rep with their own hand... while their rep is already questionable.

There are 100s of coins/tokens that are only listed in Yobit and each coin/token has their own community - this is how they get many traders in their platform imo. And the volume is increasing day by day. There are many other reasons but I'm not writing now because all of us already know the reasons.

I haven't received any mail regarding YOBIT CAMPAIGN restarting. On 27th Sep, I received an mail about CryptoTalk Campaign here on BitcoinTalk.

But maybe you are talking about the below mail which I received 9 days ago? This campaign is in their forum...

If you still have link to the tweet, we could check if someone made an archive when the tweet was available.

A news website (or so at least) published this: https://micky.com.au/crypto-exchange-offers-bitcoin-bounty-for-doxing-youtube-critic/. But both tweets are now gone if those ever existed.

I also got this Russian article: https://cryptovod.ru/birzha-yobit-zaplatit-1-btc-za-informacziyu-o-vladelcze-youtube-kanala-valeratv/.

OP, are you somewhat related to this websites?

I tried taking a snapshot of the websites to make sure the information is accessible even with a DDoS or if the website is shutdown (I doubt they would DDoS the website archive.is), but their bot can't pass through Cloud Flare. Tongue

Too bad both news media didn't include twitter links, but those news should be enough to say the tweet is real.

It looks like the micky site is cited a lot by other websites.

It's somewhat odd that I can't find other articles about this from a website such as Coindesk, Cointelegraph, etc.

Anyway, Yobit is still shady, no doubt about it.

Hey OP,
How you got that report which was sent to Cloudflare support team; I guess that support ticket is supposed not to be unrevealed to anyone else as it must be a private communication. Are you working for cloudflare? If so, leaking out your business confidential things may cost your job itself. I just wonder what is the reliability of this information.

Who is affected by by whom and what is the influence of those ddos attack with respect to this crypto community. I mean it is just a business stunt between a business and its victim (given that all the info in the OP is true) and a community is not having anything to do with that.

I suspect you are the owner of those 3 domains and when that is true you are just posting here to make your fight against yobit familiar to this community. If so, all those ddos attck related things could be just a imaginary things, created just to grab attention of this community. Because, yobit may not waste their resources against 3 unknown domains as they must be aware of what would be a final result (just because of ddos attract a business enemy will not vanish permanently). They are already working for a new business hence there could be very little possibility for this entire thing to be true.
