It is difficult to overcome the scamer in the crypto room, there will always not be destroyed, but the most important thing is that we make sure that which projects are more and which are worse are the same in investors and bounties, but for now the scamer is not as rampant as in 2018 .

i think the only counter is knowledge
as once you become knowledgeable about cryptocurrencies and the current technologies and what can and can't be currently done
you never fall for scams, they all become super ovbious.
People just need to gain more knowledge in crypto, and NEVER invest in something you dont fully understand

There are no countermeasure we can do about this, they are not fool who tell us straight on our face that their bounties will eventually turned up into a scam in the end of their project. They will always put up a good intro and will give us false hope for us to support their projects, no matter how good their whitepaper is, if they are going to run then they are going to run.

The only safety precautions we could do about this is to abort mission as soon as we feel like something is not right, don't waste time if you are unsure anymore about a certain bounty or project.

I am not sure if that's making cryptos look bad as a whole other the the point of view of the bounty hunter. I am pretty sure that investors don't mind if bounty hunters are paid less.
But i think some more legit projects shoot themselves on the foot by making people angry who write about cryptos on their spare time as they can do a lot of negative press after the ico.

I think I am a  victim of a big possible scam recently they are a paying project with live transactions that's why I join, Some scammers might gamble this deep just to attract people. There is too much scam accusation about them. And I found it suspicious, Deleting Ann thread. etc. Still not revealing CEO and team member's social media they are like anonymous. I think 90 % of bounties now here on bitcointalk are not good the result is either fail or scam. To counter it we need to be careful and DYOR about them also find some scam accusation too.

It's a difficult question how to protect yourself from fraud. You need to do a thorough analysis of wWhite Paper, check  carefully the team. But even this knowledge willn't save you from participating in a scam projects. The Bitcointalk forum has threads with a list of scam projects, that can help many hunters, especially beginners .

Don't invest. That will be the best counter because if there will be no investor and all will rely on the established market, I don't think that these scammers will keep on making new projects to scam.
And this isn't just for this year, last year was also a bad year for most because many scams have been made.

I think this year we have fewer scam projects than the previous year. And most of the successful ICO/IEO projects already paid their bounty hunters and many will pay in the first half of the next year. Only failed ICO and low-grade exchange IEO projects did not pay to its hunters as it is the rule!

Investors seem to have devised means that gives them the ability to detect scam projects. Although scammers are also working seriously to boycott or avoid being detected.
Bounty hunters just need to be extra careful when choosing bounty and investing in a project, if they are investors.

I believe that there is no ideal means that would help us to 100% get rid of fraud. Because often projects become scammers not on their own, but because they have not coped with their duties. Therefore, you can't protect yourself from them.

To fight hunters not being paid their attitude has to change. Demand money to be escrowed and demand to be paid in tokens that are already listed on exchanges. Don't agree to work for something that could be listed because this is not work ut gambling.

To fight scams you have to be less greedy and spend more time researching projects. Greedy people are taken advantage of in real life and in the Internet.

Totally agree with this. With a sufficient knowlege how this and that workout we may be able to avoid scams project with a necessary means. Although it is hard not to fall on their traps. Scams projects are way too promising, which new ones would easily bite with these schemas. Besides, if there are still people who keeps falling on their traps, I guess, there will be no ending for those fraud projects.

To fight scams you have to be less greedy and spend more time researching projects. Greedy people are taken advantage of in real life and in the Internet.

As well as this. Never ever let greediness over control yourself. When both ends commits with this attitude. Even an enough knowledge would mean nothing. Because greed is the very root on why fraud projects works.

frankly, investors must take precedence, investors must also be able to choose projects that are truly original or projects that are truly scammers, we know now ICO scammers but the existence of IEO might be minimized about scammers, investors must also see projects that they want to participate in should careful and really detailed to the root, and for prize hunters we know a lot of scammers projects either at ICO or IEO that don't pay you, but prize hunters must ask to be paid when the project that was followed was successful or reached the target

We must atleast find a reason why they didn't paid bounty hunters, they might just have a lock up period so plans to send it by a specific date, the project really failed so that's the risk when the project failed means no reward, simply they stop the bounty without us reading it, and the worst is they are really scammers. This year since ICO or IEO were not that many than last year we can pick project that have potential knowing we're it is listed in exchange as long as the project have already it's own brand or product. We need to research to atleast refrain being victim of fraud.

The only solution for some investors, is avoid those suspicious project that launching. It is hard to know which is which since many projects show their best on how to showcase it. Problem here is how to identify these and if youre not careful probably youll end being scammed as well.

Most projects now should be entering IEO, since most ICO now are having a hard time getting their targeted goal, at least in IEO they can be sure to have investors since exchange handling the process.

KYC should be done in every ICO, IEO or bounty campaign. There are cheaters and multi-accounts everywhere, it is no different than stealing someones money.

As for scam projects, I think there should be a site, or a platform (besides the ones who give you good rank for money) to inspect projects and give REAL validations.

This year since ICO or IEO were not that many than last year we can pick project that have potential knowing we're it is listed in exchange.

The problem is the Exchange that launching IEO is scam itself like P2PB2B and Coinbits. Many more exchage claiming to have huge fake volumes is launching their fake IEO to scam people. So knowing the exchange where the token to be listed is not guarantee that the project will not gonna runaway.

in my opinion there are some things that we must learn and know so as not to get caught up in the fraud of a project. what is certain to do is to study the project more deeply and understand what the project is doing. we also need to know the reputation that gift managers have in their performance on a project, so that our payments are guaranteed to go into our wallets.

There isn't really much that we can do.

The media is painting these issues in a darker light than they should be, in my opinion. Most of these scams can be easily avoided through simply using your common sense and doing your due diligence. Most people who actually get scammed most likely didn't even research their ICOs, the teams behind the ICOs, and the actual purpose of the token.

It's the attitude towards crypto in general that needs to change. If one day there is a lack of demand for scam and crap tokens, they will slowly cease to exist.
