Participating in IEO or buying after the token has been listed on an exchange are all good ways to make profit. However, each avenue has its advantage and disadvantages. It should be understood not all coins experience a drop in price after listing hence not joining the IEO which normally comes with bonuses and some offers can lead to buying at higher price after the coin gets listed.

I think participating on an IEO is much sure way of profit if its an exchange like Binance, Kucoin, Okex since the community and trader there trusted the projects that goes out in launchpad. Yes its proven already some ROI with this, If youre gonna invest after the trading starts already then goodluck price could stumble up and down and losing can be an option there.

It depends on the project itself. If the project is very popular then it's more profitable if you'll participate during their offering. On the other hand if you're uncertain that they'll gain value once added to the market immediately, then it's a good choice to buy after their IEO as impatient investros or bounty participants will most likely sell it at rate in which it's cheaper than the price they bought it.

Depending on the altcoin of the IEO, if the coin of the IEO is potentially good then I directly buy from IEO, if the coin is somewhat doubtful of his and then I wait for listing on his exchanger exchange. So with so much safer to get profit.

If I am both. Followed IEO and sold while in the market, most likely the price dropped because of the number of people who sold at the time. Then buy again when the price drops.

Personally, I think it's more profitable when tokens are already listed in the market. i personally got a loss on IEO not ICO. all drop when listing on the market. but I can recover my losses from the already listed IEO Token. because I have seen the lowest price to buy and waiting for the highest price to sell. and if not stable. we can stop to trade and wait by monitoring to reenter. For IEO purchases, you cannot predict that. because it can happen, their good news can be made without facts to invite investors.

I prefer IEO over ICO, ICO's heyday is over because some developers are cheating on ICO, thus tarnishing the good name of ICO and investors don't want to invest in ICO anymore. Now IEO makes more sense because it has already been registered on exchange so that it will buy the token, so shortly after sale of token, the coins can be directly traded on exchange.

You can apply this logic in your favorite coin. Almost all coin price will be low even after top exchange IEO. You can apply in some Binance IEO projects. For the best projects, you should wait for price fall like Binance. When before and after you can make profits by Binance IEO

In my experience as an investor, buying into the product during the IEO or ICO makes me feel comfortably than waiting for the end to buy. Some project hype their tokens after the sales of the IEO, Harmony was a good one and some other project. Also, MB8 equally took the same steps.
