It has been said a thousand times in this forum. If you want to avoid fraudulent projects then you should conduct a proper research. Research is the key on all of the things that we have a problem facing on. If you will do research then you will discover different information that you may use as a basis in decision making if you are going to push your interest in a certain project.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

yes, it is indeed difficult to determine a project that is safe and deceptive. I'm sure that no one will be sure that they can determine which projects are the best and which are what they are. it's true that we have to do research first before joining a project. we have to find information about the people in the project. every project must have a development team, and have goals in the future. maybe you can also share the results of research on a project with your friends, so you will get the confidence that you have joined a project that you think is really good.

The best way to identify scam/fake projects or projects which are very unlikely to become successful is through the extensive performance of research on that project. Here, the investor must look thoroughly into the team in order to know the expertise of the team members. Also, it is good to know the idea of the project, does it have a use case? Is the product capable of attracting investors?
Investment must be done with a lot of research from all the data in the project. the more extensive the research carried out, the better the project's advantages and drawbacks will be, and therefore the data collection when conducting research must be maximally carried out
It should be taken seriously, and it shouldn't be taken so easily. Decisions to be made when it comes to investing should not be made in a rush. It should be done with care and thorough investigation to avoid unpleasant things to happen.
There are lots of things you should consider for you to be able to know that the particular project is a fraud or scam. The first one and the very important part is that you should check the whitepaper itself because all of their plans and techniques are stated there, so if you read that, you will have some information about that particular project. You can actually recognize that but if not, the second one is their team, for example, is the manager can really manage the bounty not only that, are they going to be responsible if the project fails. The third one, are you believing that they can reach the target of tokens is going to be sold at that time frame. You should consider those things for you to be able to avoid fraudulent projects, but most importantly you should avoid persons or accounts that are giving you some offer and rewards but you dont think it's true.

I think there is still a way to overcome the problem of scamers in this crypto room (but I'm not saying to eliminate it completely). . This might not have a big effect but at least it can reduce some of the fraud projects that exist in this industry. . like avoiding and not promoting suspicious projects repeatedly. .
I have always observed that many of them and even have high ratings but still support suspicious projects, especially participants (social media).
maybe this is one reason why many fraud projects are increasingly rampant, because someone always gives hope to them and makes someone trapped in it.

so what do you think?
I draw the conclusion above based on what I saw there.
Before a project can look suspicious it depends on how good you are at researching, most times even promising projects do turned scam, crypto space is actually in trouble if you ask me, scammers are making everything hard for new investors
If we can always come together to scrutinize a project that looks suspicious, open a thread and give evidence to back your suspicion. I think credible project can defend it. Unlike telegram they can bully such individual and ban from group, member from part of the world that are close to the location can make physical confrontation and inquiry. The process of discussion will help new investors to get better in researching projects

That is why we need to be educated on any project or engagement we dive in because scammers do really intend to fool those people who they think will be attracted to the advertising strategy they put up into their project. We need to be aware of what is a realistic offer and which is not. The common thing I have seen in the past that I have noticed about those  projects is that they are promising to give you an offer which is statistically beyond impossible. We cannot truly assure to totally stop this fraudelent projects but we on ourselves must be equipped on observation and researching to better know if we are leading into a legible project or not. Raising awareness to other people is also a great help providing that you have a tough proof so that we can lessen the victims of this act.

Projects that are dead or wasted in making more emphasis on ICO sales without calculating later when already on the exchange. Most of them are priced down because the airdrop or bounty allocation project is too big. Their ICO or IEO sales are too open to large bonuses. They just want money and money. And when they release on the price exchange dropped and dare not buyback and ended the project was abandoned. Yes, there should be no scammer nor a project that fails to be confined to all sales and promotion allocations.

Scammer always have an idea to catch hunters interest. Usually bounty with high reward it can be fraud project. Example: project A with total reward 1 billion , its obviously a fraud project. If there is something that not make sense just skip.

that's true. the rational amount that always spent by the bounty campaign should be around a few hundreds thousand dollars. If that exceeds million dollars and that can be considered as a suspicious project. Remember it's too difficult to get a lot of liquidity these days.
And what you are saying makes sense at all.

It is not true that bounty hunters are always waiting for the scammers to come and take their hard-earned money. The different consequences happen in the world and people should understand the reasons behind the bounty scammers. Projects which have a high paying bounty rewards usually refuse to pay after the end of the token sale.

the key here is investors because the project will not run without funds. then what must be more observant in analyzing is investors not to do crowdfunding to ico or scam-indicated projects, so that they never run and it will not reach promotion from bounty hunters.

Scams are increasingly affecting the crypto industry which receives many unwary new investors every day, As we all know, blockchain and cryptocurrency are in its baby years. To avoid scams on cryptocurrency an investor needs to make thorough research about a project before investing such as Knowing the team and their various background, Studying project whitepaper & Roadmap etc.

Its easier said than done, everyone knows there is no way to know a or detect a real project because scam projects are of different levels, some are detectable and some are not, research is no more enough but it helps too

Some of the ways to avoid projects that are scams is by doing thorough research into the quality of the technology, qualifications and professionalism of the team, and the reputability of the platform hosting the IEO and also evaluate the performance of similar fund raisers before you invest, and this will help you to get a clear picture of what is ideal to invest in and what isn't

Its easier said than done, everyone knows there is no way to know a or detect a real project because scam projects are of different levels, some are detectable and some are not, research is no more enough but it helps too

Yes, you are right, even though we research a lot about the projects, but many projects are failing to survive in the market. In the beginning, it is impossible to find potential about the project. Research is no more enough because as on online it is impossible for us to find what is happening in the background of the companies.

how can one avoid the promotion of crypto projects? especially the promoter. I think a little difficult.
1. Most promoters are bounty hunters. which is their goal to participate in marketing.
2. the promoted project has a large allocation (although currently it is fake)
3. have a good start, for example a large project partner (even if it's just writing)
4. lack of understanding of the promoted project. (basically get a high reward, regardless of the project)
that is the reason scam projects are widespread in crypto, even controlling more than 70% in the ICO section.
People are only focusing on rewards than risks in investing in cryptocurrency market and that's why they got scammed many times. You can avoid fraud projects if you consider the risks, do not also believe to the high rewards that they are offering. Research is the key for them to find out if the project is legit or scam.

Easy solution... but won't work. It's quite cheap to simulate media activity about a certain project in the internet, so someone will always promote them. You need to play smart, do research on the platform, on people behind it, community activity, developer contributions. One of the current projects that I tested and did well is Amoveo, check it out.

Yeah you are right. A "high rating people" who supports the project does not make the project automatically legit. There are always a chance of the project failing or scamming. After all your "high rating" people does not actually care who gets scammed or not. Remember, those people are paid to advertise for them. There are also few well known people out there who makes legit reviews.
The best way to avoid fraudulent project is to avoid every shitty projects out there that are not being developed by some well known team.

Detecting project scams is indeed very difficult, because between real and unreal projects is almost similar at this time, so research on projects is still needed even though it is not entirely helpful, but everyone must do research on the projects they want to participate in.

There are many ways to find out if the project is scam or not. One of the ways is by reading their whitepaper, you can see all the information about the project in the whitepaper. You can also is see in there if something is fishy or not. Reviewing the team behind the project is also a way to know if it id legit or a scam. Research about the developer and it may help you to avoid fraud projects.

Something I noticed lately is that people invest in projects that are close to them, we have seen so much in this space to just trust anyone. Most investors in ferrum are from US because the most of the developers are from there, this was an ICO in 2019 that raised it money in few hours, so also with some projects in Singapore. Everyone wants to know who is taking there money. We are getting easier ways also to find out about our investments
