With the bitcoin Logo printed on watford kudos should be given to their sponsors Sportsbet for promoting bitcoin on such a big league EPL with thousands of supporters on ground a lot of them will enquire information about bitcoin thus in one way or the other bitcoin will gain more awareness thus more adoptions will follow suit gradually bitcoin popularity will soar in leaps and bound I hope more of these will be promoted betting sites that had adopted bitcoin.

In Turkish super league, there is a club that called for "BTCTurk Yeni Malatyaspor" and they even played a match in European League (ex. UEFA cup) in this year.

I also felt something like you, when I went to a cafe to drink a cup of coffee and then I saw a picture of cryptocurrency and bitcoin on the wall of the cafe after seeing that picture and I thought why they put a bitcoin picture on their cafe wall whether it was for their trend or cafe sponsored by bitcoin I think bitcoin in the future will be very many people who want to adopt bitcoin.
Good to see that even cafes are already aware of bitcoin, are they accepting bitcoin as a payment too or they just promoting it? I've been in different cafes but I haven't seen one like it, its great because maybe in that way people can easily recognize bitcoin as a form of currency. Since most of people these days thinks that bitcoin is a sort of scam, that way people can clearly see that it wasn't a scam but an opportunity for the business owner. It will enlighten them about how a  digital currency works, well as far as I know there are some store in my country that accepts and adopt bitcoin which is impressive i've never been there but i'm looking forward to it.

Still a good a news tho. It's not new to me since a lot of celebrity now are involved in cryptocurrency.
Like Pacquiao released his first ever cryptocurrency, the Pac coin.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/philippine-boxing-champion-manny-pacquiao-releases-own-cryptocurrency/amp
I saw other MMA tv programs are being aired with a Bitcoin logo at the middle of the ring which blown my mind because this is unexpected.

I don't think pacquiao would have a concrete reason for releasing his own coin. As far as I know, he's a Senator and his schedule is so tight to even manage to set up his own coin. I suggest, large business owners would be better to create their coin as they can use it in big investment or create their own investment platform to fully maximize the coin that they want to create.
Schedule conflicts is just easy if he is really dedicated on making his own coin online. This was announced long ago and no Pac coin entered the market, maybe he lost interest on cryptocurrency or his business advisors adviced him not to invest on crypto because it will be a big risk.

On Saturday the 19th I was at a pub and grill with friends for a birthday. While I was there I happened to look up at one of the tv screens and a football match was on. I do not watch football nor do I know much about the leagues. I understand how the game works and that's about it. While I was watching I noticed something but just to make sure I asked the table if they saw it too and they confirmed it. (there were 5 of us at the table 2 of which know and understand bitcoin and how it works they just don't own their own crypto I don't know why) What we saw was the bitcoin logo BTC on the sleeves of Watford FC players. I was excited and glad to see it. I asked a friend at the table what they thought the sponsor was from and he said probably an exchange.  Turns out that the Turkish exchange BtcTurk was the Watford shirt sponsor and BtcTurk have sponsored Yeni Malatyaspor, a Turkish club.

https://www.ccn.com/turkish-bitcoin-exchange-becomes-footballs-first-ever-crypto-shirt-sponsor/

You can find out more with a simple google search as well. Smiley

Still many club foot ball in the world not use bitcoin as digital payment currency when selling or buying player, they always use fiat money currency for every transaction, every season each club make twice in one year for buying and selling their player, many club will get much profit if can use bitcoin when buying or selling player and give salary for every staff club from player to coach by bitcoin.

Its really exciting to see btc being recognized at high levels and used in sports like football as it is favourite sport around the world which can have greater impact on society as whole. There were many incidents that i remember where btc sponsored or took part in various games online.Still a long way to go before its get mainstream so wait for that time.

It is really nice to see that football teams make agreements related to Bitcoin. For example, the Turkish football team Galatasaray is preparing to create its own cryptocurrency and there are other big teams that aim this too.

This is apparently a trend as i saw some other Japanese racing team have the logo of an exchange on their cars, this goes to show you how long the crypto market has come along and how much of a stronghold the exchanges have made in the overall market , and this makes me wonder why are they specifically targeting sports, they could have chosen any field to market their businesses, never the less this seems like a giant step towards the spread of the cryptocurrency in the world.

Yeah one time I ride a cab and nothing I find because I am on a hurry but when I got off the cab and pay the bills I noticed that the door of the taxi designed as Bitcoin logo but it was late when I got my Mobile to take a photo the driver already gone to my sight and that’s what made me feel sad for not capturing the logo

Wow spreading bitcoin or cryptocurrency awareness to everyone thru sports around the world is awesome. It helps cryptocurrency adoption, Nice article. Some people are already betting with football too using bitcoin like on my signature. In fact, I saw some movie too that bitcoin was featured.

I would be pretty amazed and happy to see food for sale with bitcoin. There many online stores but almost never offline.
I buy food in person on pretty much a weekly basis with bitcoin at my local farmers' market. The stall I usually buy from had no idea what bitcoin was. I asked the family repeatedly over several months if I could pay in bitcoin, and eventually they obliged. They now accept I think about 8 different cryptocurrencies (although I continue to only use bitcoin), and there are two other stalls at the market which have started accepting bitcoin too. My usually stall tells me they now have about 5 customers each week (the stall market only runs one day a week), myself included, who pay in bitcoin.

The first step to being able to pay for things in bitcoin is to create demand for it. You can't do this with huge corporations, but you can absolutely do it with small, independent retailers or merchants. If they don't know people want to pay in bitcoin, then they won't go to the effort of setting up a wallet and training staff on how to accept it. They want your business; it's in their own interests to facilitate you. I think too many people are passively just waiting for bitcoin to be accepted. Go out there and create demand for bitcoin payments, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

I only think the Sportsbet sponsor makes sense, honestly don't see financial institutions getting the most out of sponsoring football teams - seems counterproductive.
The English Premier League is the most widely watched sport in the world, is broadcast in almost every country and territory in the world, and has a potential audience of almost 5 billion people. It is a fantastic advertising tool for any company. This year, sponsors include airlines, car and tire companies, supermarkets, ISPs, as well as financial institutions.

Yeah, I don't know that I have the patience to ask people about something for months. I tend to get annoyed by then. I get irritated with people quite quickly if they are narrow-minded or ignorant. I would probably get all upset.  Tongue

I pretty much don't bring up crypto because I don't feel like getting into an argument with some idiot that knows nothing. I do totally agree with you, it is up to us to create a demand. My mother has asked me a few times to ask if a shop takes bitcoin because she knows I sometimes use it online. I was thinking I know they will say no but after reading what you said I would have to create my own demand for it. IF others join in then we are getting somewhere. I think once a few places offlines tart accepting that many others will. There is a local pc shop and they have miners GPU rigs displayed in the window and they should probably be the best bet to start with. I am quite surprised they do not acccept crypto by default. I do plan on running my own business and then I will accept crypto. I will accept any form of payment TBH. Hell I will even exchange what I sell for a service and barter like in the old days. A sale is a sale. Getting something instead of nothing is very welcome.

@Kyraishi Dude what the hell are you talking about? Do you live under a rock the last 20 years? Video games and consoles like playstation and nintendo and stuff have advertised in sports events since they began. When the first playstation came out they sponsored teams and had their logo all over the place.

I pretty much don't bring up crypto because I don't feel like getting into an argument with some idiot that knows nothing.
Just because they don't know anything about bitcoin doesn't automatically make them an idiot, just uninformed. Uninformed, but potentially willing to learn. I wouldn't advocate getting in to an argument with anybody about accepting bitcoin; there is probably no faster way to turn them off from the idea. I simply mentioned it casually every time I used the vendor in question. It started as "Can I pay in bitcoin? No? Ok, here's some cash", and then became a bit of a joke "Do you accept bitcoin yet? I'd love to buy more if only I could pay in bitcoin." to eventually him asking "So what exactly is this bitcoin thing that you keep going on about?"

If someone is interested and wants to talk about it, great. Some people will obviously not be interested. You can't force them, so don't piss them off trying to do so. Just gently make them aware that there is a demand for bitcoin payments, and some might bite.

The only time when I see the BTC symbol on TV, is when I am watching the News and some Ponzi scheme used Bitcoin to scam people or some Pedo network that used Bitcoin and then got exposed.  Tongue

The other times it was in some TV Series or Movie where the hacker always use Bitcoin for money laundering or some money transfers to pay for some illegal criminal activities.  Roll Eyes

In the media and movie industry, Bitcoin is synonymous with illegal activities.  Roll Eyes  < Puppet masters use this to push their hidden agenda>  Angry Angry Angry
That's right , in my country it same. Bitcoin its familiar with Hyip Ponzy.
I have more positif information just from forum Bitcointalk and another forum basic cryptocurrency.
If I read or watch information from media TV on my country always make me laught.

I know, https://sportsbet.io/ is a sponsor of Watford FC. And Sportsbet excludes Bitcoin, so the bitcoin logo has been used on the sleeves.

It's a good thing to see such displays. In fact, it's a reassuring sign worthy of note that Bitcoin is slowly but steadily creeping into different facets of daily life. Sports adverts is the way to go for easy spread. But then Bitcoin itself doesn't pay for ads. I am sure it will be worth it if new crypto projects can advertise this way to leave an impression on the mind of any who sees it.

Yeah, Watford is first thing which comes to my head when I hear words Bitcoin and football. Such partnership with Sportsbet shows that crypto gambling is big thing already and they can spend millions for promotion. But unfortunately, Watford results isn't really good, I just hope that they won't relegate from EPL.
But I'm not sure hoe this promotion is good for Bitcoin. Because on Watford shirts, ads in stadium, it's not highlighted that Sportsbet is Bitcoin sportsbook. I've seen photos with big Bitcoin logo on their shirt, but they don't play with it in EPL.
BTW, so far there isn't many crypto ads in football. I only can recall seing ads of few exchanges during matches.

this is long overdue. promotion of bitcoin and services that make use of bitcoin on football match has been on the screen long time ago. Maybe because you don't watch football regularly. I have seen this couple of time on the EPL banners and on screen advertisement board where the promotion of crypto has been seen. The same thing apply to promotion of gambling site that use bitcoin and other crypto. 1xbet promotion is well known in England premier league and I have watched an advert about 1xbet being supported by Barcelona. All this will go a long way to tell you that bitcoin is a legit ecurrency and probably we shall see a revolution in term of dominance in the nearest future

Definitely, my first thoughts about this is that, the team themselves know bitcoin very well, perhaps, they are using bitcoin and probably they are holding bitcoin as well. Because if we are to think about it deeply, there is no marketing that will pay them to advertise bitcoin in the first place, it is their pure intention to attract people to buy and accumulate bitcoin. If we could always experience to see such event like this, what could happen is an increase in demand. Imagine, if we are just advertising in forums, people have already knowledge about crypto in the first place, but if we try to advertise bitcoin outside of the box, endless possibilities could be opened.

some yes but some didnt  .they are only being paid to advertise btc on thier shirt or on the field banners  . like for example the fc watford , the one that we saw on sportsbet  . they are sponsored by sportsbet if im not mistaken  . there are many companies use bitcoin and they are willing to pay others just to carry those crypto names under thier names  . btc and crypto were already known on this forum but some take it on the next level and spread the word outside the web  .
