Scam is a dishonest scheme that is carried out by an individual or groups of persons in mode of taking away something that is valuable to others. Those who perform these acts are reffered to as scamers.

How do people get involved, how easily are people scammed and reasons?

Many individuals think of the internet as a get rich quick scheme and once they are exposed to any form of investment promising high ROI, witjout a second taught they jump onto it, you and I as well know how this will end? In a nutshell, GREED is a factor

Secondly the inability to conduct research and make real findings on our own. All this as a result of laziness.

Aside from greed, ignorance is also the lethal flaw of some people in this industry. They tend to trust a project so easily because they are ignorant to what the project really is. I am not just talking about the legitimacy of the project in terms of the reliability of the dev team. I want to also point out that when you invest in a project, you should also share their vision and mission, not just to gain profit.

More and more scammers are developing because new investors have also begun to emerge. This is the right target for scammers to launch their actions by making SCAM projects with high profits. New investors who are greedy and don't do research in advance will get into their trap. We all need to remain vigilant and do research in advance which projects will be followed, don't be fooled by scammers.

crypto and its investment are not free from fraud because of the fundamental reasons there is no legal power that provides protection and certainly there is no absolute legality for crypto and crypto currencies can be used anywhere and anyone so that makes fraud will be easy to do

The scammer will not stop, always looking for a gap / effort to find the next victim. the internet is the best place or platform for scammers, as reported by wikipedia [1] "in 2017 the Internet Crime Complaints Center (IC3) received around 300,000 complaints". woww that's not a small number and at this time scammers are turning to crypto, so it's becoming a trend right now. I agree with the OP, which is the factor of greed and it is difficult to avoid, because in reality it is pure human nature, but at least we can reduce the nature of it.

one way to minimize undesirable events is that we must be aware of greed. no sudden rich words, everything needs a process and must want effort from scratch.

many people have gambling character, they attempt repeatedly do invest in 'prospect' with high ROI
they think it's okay lose some money they can afford, so they even dont be dissapinted getting scammed lol

Second reason is that, they need something that has been shown in the internet. People also get scammed because of their lack of education. If people are fully aware of the number of scammers on the internet. It's better to be media literate to avoid getting scammed.
There are also cases that even if you're cautious enough but some people are just very good at convincing and manipulating others, it's easy for them to scam people.
It's easier to scam people here on the internet because you can give wrong information and there's a lot of internet users nowadays are not really a techy people. They're just adapting to the mainstream but not really good at it.

Greedy is a normal human attitude trying to get something more than what has been obtained. I think most people have this attitude in crypto, because of opportunity and ability. But if this is not supported by experience, knowledge and analysis then loss is a sure thing to accept. Cryptocurrency is full of speculation, so sweet words and promises from project developers are common here. So in my opinion its very reasonable if this causes many casualties.

People use the Internet exactly as much as they need and, as far as possible, based on the nature of their activity, they are exploring various ways of protecting their data, means and how to minimize the number of situations when it is possible to cross with scammers.  But people who want easy money have never had immunity from fraud in this area of ​​activity.

Well.. I am someone who got scammed multiple times in the internet. Back then, I was too young and my mistake was that I used to blindly trust strangers. I lost a lot of money, but even then I am glad that I learnt a few lessons in my life as a result of these scams. I took each one of these scams as a lesson. And made sure not to repeat them in my life thereafter. And I am glad to say that no one has managed to scam me for the last 4-5 years.

I believe that some people believe that they are smarter than others and can just come to any project and earn money in it, while not having knowledge and skills. This self-confidence often leads them to fraudulent projects. I personally know several cases when they turned to me for advice and I said that this was a fraud suggestion and even provided evidence. People told me thanks for the information and still went to this scam. After they lost money, they came again and complained that they had lost money. So it turns out that they think that they are the smartest and now quickly earn for free. But as the practice shows, they lose money very quickly.

I agree with you man, lack of knowledge is the biggest problem. I always point that out, people need to be more educated if they wish to be successful in the long run. I think that reminding them is useless, we have on this forum so many topics with same headlines, many good comments and advises, but people are to lazy to read all that, to check out what others have to say about something.
I think that its easy to scam people everywhere! How many times we have seen that in the past? Do you know who is Ponzi, and why ponzi scheme have that name? How many investment companies scammed people for huge money? People are victims because they are greedy, they fall on huge promises about high ROI. When I see promises about fast ROI I close the window! I will repeat once again for all the people and for myself, if it sounds too good its probably a scam.

From my opinion, people are not able to talk with those scammers face to face thus only from the words they wrote on the internet, it's hard to tell if they are true or not. Also, scammers are from all over the world, so they are not like people who live near you, they will lure you with high return investment or project, once they got your money easily, they default easily. The cost to scam on the internet is very low.

Attracted with Hype Issue, this is related with money exactly. Due I ever become a victim from this scheme. In our brain it just for collecting much money with easy way. Business with PONZI SCHEME ever take out all of my money. So please don't stop learning and ask the expert before joining in any business investment. Knowledge will give you everything, but being greedy because of money its so disgusting.

Lack of knowledge is a fact. Once they've seen people making off it, they won't do research on how exactly these people made money.
The thing that's on their mind is that 'this guy made money on bitcoin'. In which, everything that has associated with bitcoin is going to be a money-making machine for them. And sadly, many of them fell for those ponzi scams.

There other ways by which people also fall victim of scam and not scam projects this time. A lot of people have heard of wallets being hacked. Although, sometimes greed can be associated with it, but it goes behind that. It can happen as a result of ignorance, by unknowingly and without much knowledge, expose your security details to s scammer.
