I downloaded the modified bitcoin core zip file but find no exe file there and so is the comb file all I see is the combfullui.db How do I open the wallet?

Not a bitcoin core user actually but would like to try something new today.

right now im just reading your "whitepaper" , its some interesting stuff, alot to wrap ones head around...
i think this one might be above my cryptographic skill level i might wait till others set it up here or theres more documentation

!!EXCITING NEWS!!

More than 4.8 real spendable COMB tokens are now in circulation on the Bitcoin main network.

I cannot post picture because the lucky owner wished to stay anonymous. The secret??? 172 000 sats/kilobyte fee when claiming.

I am not aware about any more coins in existence so he probably owns the whole supply. 

There is still time! More than 11 millions tokens remain to be generated. It will be enough for everybody.

There is liquidity stack combbase bug. So don't use liquidity stacks. I will fix it asap.

I will try to do release for Windows soon.

Until then, the only way to generate your COMB and MINE (claiming) addresses is to use combfullui from github on LINUX.
Just run it and visit 127.0.0.1:2121 then generate your keys and:

I will be helping everyone to the best of my knowledge. Dreaming about the future when COMB is worth 0.50$ each. 

Currently the main thing you need to claim is combfullui, or combfullui.exe for windows. Your wallet does not need to be synced to claim.

Start it combfullui you haven't already. Visit http://127.0.0.1:2121 Click wallet on the main page. Generate a few keys. From the main page, save your wallet to a file. Go to wallet again, copy your mine address (the long address, starts with bc1)

Open bitcoin or your Bitcoin wallet. Your wallet must support segwit. Tip 0.00000546 BTC to your mine address.

Congrats you now have a chance to get free 1.6 COMB.

What a great project. Natasha, you are very smart to create anonymous and quantum proof coin.

I've been claiming free COMB.  I've received 0.00000001 less COMB than expected according to the equation on the whitepaper.

Another thing I've noticed, the max supply on the whitepaper doesn't match the equation when you sum all blocks rewards.

It should be 12423823.39976706 COMB.

The edge cases also appear to be 0.00000001 less COMB than expected.

Yes. There is an equation bug in the wallet. I think the coin can still be fixed. Sure, it is a hard fork, but if we set the equation as defined in the whitepaper we end up with total theoretical max supply of 12423823.39976706 COMB.

Next thing that we will do is we burn 0.21835287 tokens by sending them to the 000000000000000000 address, so that the claim about max supply of 12423823.18141419 COMB remains true as well. (Even though the supply increased by the hard fork.)

6. go back to wallet notice mine address near your key.

546 sats is the minimum. Anyone can claim, even from exchanges/online wallets. Your wallet/exchange/faucet must support small payouts (all money sent is burned) and it must support segwit (to allow paying to bc1 long addresses).

Set a nice fee because I've noticed that some miners sort payments by fees. You have to be on top to win.

For people who don't have BTC, segwit faucet would be ideal for this purpose.

To verify that the coin is done correctly, do the following:

1. Sync your wallet to block 602614 or more.

Airdrop requires too many people with same type of addresses. Haircomb is completely new idea, there is no other coin that
uses this yet, so there is nobody we could airdrop to.

I could be wrong but haircomb is a lot like Bitcoin 10 years ago. New crypto, no airdrop, no ico or anything just a handful of early adopters claiming coins not because they know for sure that it will be worth millions someday but simply because it looks promising or fun or exciting (or whatever, everyone has their own reasons).

Therefore I think that we should fly under the radar in the beginning. We shall fill our bags with cheap comb just like Satoshi did with Bitcoin.

Faucet reminds me Raiblocks. If we have good captcha we can definitely donate some of our COMB to a well designed faucet.
But when faucet goes live, there should already be well tested android mobile wallet. People in less wealthy countries are mostly going to claim from their phones and so they need a good mobile wallet to cashout to.

There is no rush to get on exchange in my opinion. But if someone lists haircomb on an exchange I will be more than happy.

Syncing guide - windows.

• Are you expecting a haircomb payment and want to receive it to your own wallet?
• Do you want to pay with your haircombs?
• Do you want to create commits.db file yourself, so that you don't need to trust others to give you the correct file?
• Do you want to monitor people claiming combs in real time?

Then you need synced haircomb core wallet. Learn how to do this using this guide.


Prerequisites. You should have more than 250GB free disk space. Should have reliable electricity supply, with no planned power loss.

1. Download combfullui.exe from github and place it to it's own folder
2. Download btc.zip (the modified bitcoin qt 0.18.1) and unzip it.

5. When bitcoin main window synchronizes the headers and starts downloading blocks, restart it. You should see the intro window:



6. You can let it sync for several days. When you get to block 486600 or more you can check https://127.0.0.1:2121 in browser, you should see on that it is now syncing the haircomb core with the required data.



7. If you are expert who copied over index chainstate and blocks from existing bitcoin installation, you will see the following Rescanning screen on startup:



It appears like there is no progress but there is. Simply wait patiently until Rescanning... is over and your core wallet appears.

8. Finally you get to the stage where only a few blocks remain. Wait until it's finished.



9. If you refresh your haircomb core browser observe that the blocks being synced are identical in the last stage.



10. Finally it's synced. You should see the total number of blocks synced in haircomb core is same as on Bitcoin network.
You can also verify with other synced haircomb users that the fingerprint in their haircomb core is the same as yours.




general usage - shutdown

1. close bitcoin core, wait until the close window disappears.
2. go to 127.0.0.1:2121 and press safe shutdown. The wallet should close.

general usage - startup

1. start combfullui.exe
2. go to 127.0.0.1:2121, verify it is running
3. start bitcoin-qt.exe

general usage - commits.db database backup

1. shutdown bitcoin core, then safe shutdown combfullui.exe

Hi! looking forward to this interesting project, I am on step 6, is there any way i can speed up this process? possibly download the blockchain on torrent and be able to sync faster? currently says estimated time left 6weeks.
Would love to get started faster.
