And I don't want to be a critic here since I'm not contributing any designs of my own, but most of the ones I've seen don't really have any visible symbols or words on the design that would make it obvious that these are to commemorate bitcointalk.  Shouldn't that be a key element of the design?

By the way, something like this would be absolutely perfect in place of a set of trading cards with the top members on them.  I really like Debonaire217's designs with Mitchell and the rest on them.  Those really have the bitcointalk flavor to them.

I've made a simple yet on point card design for the event.
I was thinking of a silver-gradient card. As you can see I've used this in combination with the bitcoin/bitcointalk colors which in my opinion looks great.
In addition, this will give you plenty of room to place the unique elements like your logo and name, QR code, hologram, etc.

Thank you @yogg for making this contest. It's great way to celebrate 10th birthday of Bitcointalk.
I see that there is already some nice designs made by participants. But I won't participate in it because I don't have any good ideas how it should look and no knowledge how to make it.
So, I just wish good look to all participants and let the best one win!

Yes, I agree. Those really have a bitcointalk flavor, this is a great idea as well. (I think you meant Basorexia's entries to theymos' art contest ?)
Sounds terrific, but I am not yet sure what to do. He created designs for much more top members.

Your card is looking awesome, the colors fits perfect and the details are amazing. The only thing you must add is something related to bitcointalk.org and/or 10th anniversary, because as it is reminds of bitcoin.

Putting elements of design that reminds of the forum isn't simple, since the visual identity of the forum is... quite... basic.

Making a few coldkeys with Basorexia's desins might be very funny At least we can't say that they don't remind us of Bitcointalk!
Do you know where you would put the address / amount of BTC / etc. and what would be the back of the card like?

IMO Debonaire217's design could be a good starting point, even though I could maybe be improved (something a little bit more punchy?).

We'll see better how it renders.


Please, avoid to put a BTC address, and no BTC amount as well. It's difficult to make a functional wallet out of these.
We can always put our QR code on top of the one on the card, however it is not that easy to mask the address/denomination.

Note: I am just using my android phone whenever I use the forum,
that's why I really like using the android logo on my design although it doesn't put much sense on the forum itself.

Images and Text Can Be Still Edited also with it's face colors.

My Entry for this contest.

I put a customized address to commemorate this 10 years mark of this forum and bitcoin.
I just made a simple design at front, and a futuristic theme at the back.

I'm not sure with the size of this but when I edit the picture on my applications, its 86x54mm.
Well, thank you for this contest and its good to have a physical card for this 10th Anniversary.
