Picking up the cheap coins is like something you want to take total risk on losing capital,better pick coins like BNB which are doing good in the short term even when market is bullish but the value of the BNB tied with their exchange's reputation so it will be one to invest as long as Binance sits at the top preferred exchange among traders.

its not necessary a NEW altcoin but maybe check out reddcoin

If i have to invest in new altcoins i will prefer projects from gate.io or binance exchange, they promoted those projects based on their requirements and that is hard for many new projects to accomplish, harmony is an example of a well crafted crypto project

I don't know, probably Ravencoin? I belong to a group in facebook messenger in which my friends are telling some coins to invest to. I'm not telling you to invest in this coin but many in our group had profits with Ravencoin(RVN). I'll try investing also in this coin. Again, INVEST AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I see Cosmos as one of them.

Because they provide blockchain infrastructure for a lot of projects, including Binance Coin.

You can see the entire list at the following link. And Kava, the new Binance IEO, uses atom's blockchain infrastructure if I'm not mistaken. Because I saw cosmos is one of the strategic partners of Kava on Kava's website.

Well, why not you choose the top 5 at least in CMC altcoins. But for me, I choose Tron(TRX) for long term investment and Binance coin (BNB) for the short term. We had different perspective view in choosing good altcoin and it depends on our research which even XRP I also invested that even centralized coin. I will suggest you not depend on other research or relying others ideas. Just have your own research at your own risk.

ETH is indeed the main coin to be invested and detained besides Bitcoin. And besides these coins, in my opinion, BNB is a coin that has a very good potential to have a high price in the future.  We will see the journey of the BNB, when all the coins have decreased in price, but the price of the BNB has actually gone up and this is really very extraordinary. BNB is the first choice after Ethereum, besides that BCH and Litecoin are also Coins that are worth holding.

The following are list of coins that are still under 1$ price and top coins as well, i believe they will bring good ROI but mind you old coins won't bring huge profits than new coins so don't expect much

there are tons of pick for an altcoin investment. i have several in mind that if i only have the money to invest on all of these i probably would be buying even just about 1000 token for each. but then i'd rather go for the cheaper ones which are attractive to investors who had been in crypto but are returning back like the people who invested in ADA and TRX. ETH is good but you wanna exclude them whatever your reason is try EOS.

Actually there are a lot of altcoins in the market you can pick. I think there are a lot of option. But I think BAT, HOT and EVX has a big potential. They are carrying a big influence and community support. I like this coins (tokens) performance until now also. But as I said above, you can find a lot of coins easily.

Chainlink has been good in terms of its dollar value, Its been doing good this bear market. Lots of development going-on and the Developer has been actively promoting overseas they have been busy building network with other companies this last months.

Chainlink is currently one of Altcoin's recommendations which is a great investment choice...  Chainlink developers are working so hard that their tokens are able to be green in the bear market. in the next 2 to 5 years, Chainlink prices will likely have a high chance of rising.  Huobi also has very good performance too, this Altcoin also suitable as an investment choice.

Marketcap history was predicted to down price but today is few bullrun. Still selecting some token or coin to high profits, Harmony, Credits, ChainLink  and NPXS are good to invest. But for short term investment this coin isn't good.

This is something a bull trap as we see in the market so we need to be selective in selecting coins to be invested. Money wise better to choose among top 15 list in coin marketcap for a long term.

There’s a lot of good coins aside from ETH and if I will to invest I will choose the best altcoins for me like BNB, Mb8coin, Monero, and NEO. I trade on those coins and make profit on that. In terms of long term holding I still prefer ETH on this because it will pump again one day and holding more is worth it.

I don't recommend ripple to anyone. It's a closest thing to a scam and garlinghouse speaks like a snake oil salesman.
ADA, NRG, maybe the upcoming MWC coin if they launch.

If you have spare money I'd still go for BTC or ETH. There's no need to differentiate.

 There are many different coins on the marketplace, probably numbering within the thousands now, so it makes it hard to find a good coin to invest in.
  In order to find a good coin, one should practice their Due Diligence research about the particular project they yearn to invest in.
