Before 2017 bitcoin super bull run, faucets were a thing. There were many websites that offered as high as 0.00001BTC. There were also many people that used it including me when I am not doing anything in my office. When bitcoin price went up, there were fewer sites that offer faucets. Some faucets are now offering 0.00000100 which for me is a waste of time. But these faucets are still useful on online casino games, new to the casino can test the games using the small amounts from faucets.

I am doing market research for a potential project.
If there was a website you could go to daily where you would earn anywhere from 1 cent - 10 cents worth of bitcoin just for clicking a button, would you do it?
No strings attached, no deposit required. You go to the website, push a button and 5 cents is deposited into your wallet. Would you go every day and do it, or is it not worth your time?
Yes, if only just clicking a button to earn cents I would do it. Since I don't have a job right now, I would invest my time to do this daily to earn atleast small amount. Clicking a button in a website for a 1-10 cents it's not a hard to do.

If the website is full of advertisement then its a big NO. They will from you then you only esrn a cents and i think that's a scam and very misleading way of earning.

Just like the faucet before that you can earn by just clicking the captcha or spin th wheel the you esrn a cents. I don't want to waste my time for that kind of program because you are the one who's losing not winning the earnings.

I remember when I first heard about BTC, I made sure I used any opportunity I get to accumulate BTC. I was checking from sites to sites in fact those that I will get around 10cents from within a click and it helped me a lot. But for now I don't think I will be doing that just for 10cents.

May I have a question for you? How much have you earned on Bitcoin faucets? In my opinion, this sounds like the lowest-profitable way to make money, is it not better to trade?
Of course it is the lowest profitable way to make money.
Faucet only gives you a small amount but the good thing about faucet is that you could use it for free,
So you are earning for free unlike in trading you need to have a capital in order to start.
The only risk that you would face in faucet is if the site isn't secure.

If this is legit?ofcourse I will there’s nothing to waste anyway because it’s just a click away to gain 5cents but you must prove first you legitimacy and make sure that there should no fishy on your site because if does then this is the end of you career lol

Why not?when you have already do the same in past?remember that 5-10 cents is still a money so there is no reason to deny the opportunity

If it was just one click, no strings attached, the answer is then Yes, I would do it. After all, I do most of my day job in front of a computer so yeah, I wouldn't mind doing an extra click, even if it's for a couple of pennies. Over time they will add up ^_^

For me I could say yes, maybe I can do this in my free time when all of my everyday routines are already done its a free money after-all as op says no strings attached so its safe I assume, majority of replies I saw is no and said its only a waste of time maybe because they are earning good amount of money here instead of visiting faucets but remember a $1 cannot be completed if a cent is missing, but on the other hand if you asked your question in different groups of people like in social media groups Im sure the results will be different.

If there is the site which OP mentioned i think i willing to do that because it's totally free and the task also very simple only push the button and 5 cent received to my wallet so i will thinking to do it daily and collect it gradually until the amount of money from those sites decent to be withdraw but i wondering whether those kind of sites really exist or not and if it is exist i think it similar such as faucet sites

You can do it that at your free time just like in this forum if we do nothing we explore and read some news. But the question is are you still continue even do its only a cent can we get and it was small amount maybe in one day we cant even get $1 dollar amount. And i said it is No for me and wasted on my time on that kind of work doing only get cent amount. But it depend on use in here if they are willing to do that.

Nope. you should never waste your time for only 5-10 cents a day, it doesn't worth the time and effort. It is better to join a signature campaign here on bitcointalk than going to some useless faucet site that is paying only 5 cents a day for clicking links.

If you prove that there is no malicious scheme in your site to steal my money, then I think I would try. There are a lot of bitcoin faucets in different variations, but for me this is scam. I do not trust similar internet resources

If you want to get money then do mining where you can invest for some materials for mining because now there has no easy money. There are a lot of scam and sometimes they required you to pay money before you get the money you earn.
I dont think I would spend my time just to get that little amount of money. We have that one saying that time is gold so if we should use that time we give to get that amount of money why do we use that time to do some other stuff to earn bigger, I am pretty sure that there are other ways to earn bigger than that amount so why spending time with that. It is all about making a decision, you should foresee what is going to happen in the future if you do that particular task. We all know that there are lots of ways of earning here, there are trading, investing, promoting(joining bounties) and mining in which you can gain a bigger amount of bitcoin.

You will only waste time for just a cent, you can do many things in that span of time you are giving for that work that will pay you just a cent. Sometimes you may also get a malware for clicking those ads, ads are operated by people they let people solve captcha for them and giving them such a low amount the only people who got rich for that is also them .

He is probably talking about the lower ranked members. If your rank is low (Newbie, Jr.member.etc), then there are no signature campaigns here that will accept you. The only option left is to join the bounty campaigns. But the success rate for such campaigns have gone down (approx. 5% now) and even in the successful projects the payouts are very low (in the range of $5-$10). The best option is to improve the forum rank, but since the implementation of the merit requirement it has got really hard to rank up.

Such users may try this campaign, even if the payout is low (5 cents per day). But here, one of the possible issues can be the high threshold. The transaction fee is still quite high, and therefore it may not be viable for the faucet to process the payments if they are really small. So there is going to be a threshold, such as $2 or $5. And the big question is whether the user will agree to such thresholds or not. If the threshold is $5, then he needs to visit the site for 100 days before receiving the payment.

I think websites already exists that do things like this and they are called faucets, I participated in a number of them when I was new in the cryptocurrency space and I wanted to accumulate some bitcoin without having to purchase it, personally I don't think it's worth it at all because you would have to click lots of buttons to even each the minimum withdrawal limit and if you live where mobile data is expensive, it might not even be worth the data you spent surfing the website.

It is true, if you are using expensive mobile data, doing such small tasks would not be worth it. But same here, when I was new in crypto, I used to get satoshis from faucets before. That's when I learned how to work with crypto, how to send and receive and how to use my local exchange to convert it to fiat. But right now, I won't waste my time anymore on this kind of site because you can spend your time in more valuable activities.

I think it's okay to try doing it and I think it's included in the Bitcoin faucet. the important thing is that the site is officially not a scam. get bitcoin even if a little if collected one day will be valuable. and the value of $ 1 dollars would be quite valuable for people who live in the continents of Asia and Africa. so I think this is quite beneficial, important, we must always be careful and this is not a site that is used to retrieve personal data from our computers. we must do some research before deciding to join the site.

Bitcoin is one of the few coins on the market with incredible prospects. My advice to all cryptocurrency enthusiasts is that they should never reject any amount of BTC. 5 cents of BTC now is capable of reaching $20 or more in the near future. If the time is there to work and there is no better option than to receive a 5 cent worth BTC, take it.

If you earn 0.10 usd a day mean for a week it is 0.7? It's cheap for me and it's not worth the waste of time. Because I do so much that I earn even more. But it also depends on whether there is time for it, And there are people who have to be patient here to earn it because it only takes a few minutes to finish.
If this job ask a fews minutes to finish and they are sure to pay, I will do becau I think " many a little makes a mickle".

On freebitco.in it takes me around 10 seconds to claim their faucet, but the main reason to go there several times per day is not claiming the minimum reward, which is $0.002 in BTC, but the potential opportunity to win $20 or even $200.

Regarding to the OP's question, if, apart from claiming 5 cents in BTC, there were some kind of a lottery in which there would be 0.01% chance of winning, say, $100, that wouldn't add much to the budget of the project, but the project itself would be much more successful, because it would be easier to promote it.

There are successful faucets, its even tied into the origins of Bitcoin that people will collect the digital equal of pebbles on a beach because why not.   Most people dont have alot of money, they'll do alot of things if theres some kind of interest possible momentary or in accumulation as an idea.

Quote
push a button and 5 cents is deposited into your wallet
5 cents and 10 seconds to click a button is not as low as you imagine.   Its obviously a tiny amount of cash though like I say alot of people really have absolute zero so anything is more then nothing but 5 cents in 10 seconds is the same rate as $18 an hour but its hard to argue they arent wasting their time if its a limited scheme.   Faucets do suffer from people trying to get 10 bots to click the button every other minute and without any person involved for weeks.
One clever scheme I read about was a premium phone line being run by a hustler, only small amounts per call charged ever came back to the person running it but he ran up massive amounts of fake dialing and calls from mechanical dialers with fraudulent cell phone accounts etc. and so he got a ton of revenue from a simple idea.

The whole phenomena of Nigerian mail fraud and email spam in general comes from the very remote chance of someone completing a transaction from an advertised scheme.   Typically the mail is sent unpaid or the email is spammed in an illegal way, etc but my point is how surprising it is tiny amounts can play a part in economies.
