You are right, the fault really lies with the person be it the fraudster or the victim. Greed and not understanding a business is why people are always fooled, especially for those who do not understand technology. We also can not blame a tool as an outlet, people must be given education and understanding of fraud.

I'm actually a scam on the first time when I was newbie but I have lots of knowledge about scam the only problem is when I was invested my BTC in cloud mining and investment site I just attracted to many users who giving real proof if withdrawal that is why they encourage me to invest on those HYIP or pyramid scheme that I thought it will give me a passive income. I was super down at that time my family 1-day one eat and I am also doing captcha typing which is too hard to earn before.

But even I've scammed before I still lucky they encourage me to search and found this forum and learn a lot here on the forum. So thanks to them that they bring me here where I sell some services and join on any bounty that gives me enough money to feed my family.

So I hope those newbies should go directly here on the forum and ask anything related to crypto if it is scam or not so that they can avoid use scam websites early.

People have been getting scammed via every new technology for probably centuries, and the internet is just a new medium by which scammers do their thing.  Anyone remember the Home Shopping Network from at least the 1990s'?  I'd call their prices a scam and it was all done by television and telephone.

And certainly people are responsible (or should at least take responsibility) for protecting themselves from scammers on the internet, but we all know it's still going to happen regardless.  Fear and greed are very powerful motivators and those emotions are played upon by scammers...constantly.  That's why there have been so many people being taken in by these ico's and garbage altcoins that will never be worth anything.  You can change technology but human nature remains the same, always.

Ah. It's a half half to be fair.

When a lot of people use the internet it's a huge mess, doing transactions in person it's very hard to get scammed and when they go and buy some stuff of a major retailor and it arrives it easy to think that no one would ever scam on the internet.

It's hard to teach this thing, but for people who are frequent users and do understand everything, it's hard to make excuses for them when they get scammed by pretty obvious Ponzi's, HYIP's, etc. I mean look at bitconnect, can't believe people fell for that...

yes i agree with you cryptocurrency and internet is not a crime. cryptocurrency and internet exist to simplify our lives. but there will be bad people who will use cyptocurrency for crime and the target of these bad guys is beginners who don't do research before investing. they just follow the HYIP and will benefit quickly. this is wrong thinking. to make a profit in investing crypto we have to work hard to analyze the market and be patient with fluctuations in coin prices.

Well, Cryptocurrency is just a tool that is being used by unknown people. It is not controlled by anyone and it has nothing to do with things such as investment schemes/HYIPs. They used the popularity of cryptocurrency to get the attention of their victims. They most likely offer a big return after a quick investment.

Fluctuations being part of this market is needed to determine how will you take advantage or take chances. Those who became victims of
scam are people that didn't bothered to work finding information with things to wanted to invest.

Yeah, a lot of us trying new thing and sometimes taking the risk just to earn money even how small amount it is, they will do everything to earn money but some people are also using the internet to scam people, and I agree that internet is not to be blame because we still have a choice if we want to enter those HYIP or Pyramid Scheme.

yes, people get scammed in the world of internet and cryptoqurrency based on limited knowledge or they always take short decisions without thinking about the risks first. so it is they themselves who have made the decision and must be blamed.

If we became victim of scam due to lack of knowledge its our fault and we are the one to blame on why we end up losing our money.

Newbies thought its very easy to earn like you just need to invest and wait for the return but its not that easy. Gaining knowledge and working hard are the key to earn here and it depends on what kind of earning opportunity you're going to try.

Not only newbies but greed has something to do with people getting scammed, there are people who are very much into investing, and yet they still get scammed I have a lot of Facebook friends who have been into investing but still getting scam, they know that there are a lot of scams around, but still prefer to invest because of greed.
