If these sites just go for some verification before promoting these scams, it would be very good for the visitors. Verification can include Mobile verification, Identity verification etc. These sites are an open image of crypto, if these sites just reduce their earned money by a bit and plan for long term then it would be beneficial for all of us.

Seriously, that's business and they don't care whether they're advertising scam projects or not. They'll just reason out that they're not affiliated to all of those and we should invest at our own risk.

And not surprising anymore as they're still being paid to fake trading volumes.

Indeed, same way as what most exchanges are doing. They dont care about the project they are always after the money, the more money they will get when projects or campaigns are being given to them they will not make an investigation first . Also some ICO rating site before are the same! The will advertize ICO whether it is scam or not as long as they will provide a kyc and money of course which is big, they will advertize it.

this is what is called the anonymity of the cryptoqurrency industry, be it the coinmarcetcap site or any other site that addresses crypto you have to pay attention because there is no free money to cover good items completely and money can change everything. all sorts of forms of fraud are everywhere, especially the crypto industry, one of the areas of money and it has always been a fresh food for scammers.

Yes they did it because they want money but one thing they should realize that this thing would lead to distrust of new people in crypto which would ultimately also close their shop as well.

Coin Market Cap takes a huge amount of money from those scammers.

In my opinion the trading volume is based on the rotation of coins in the exchange. If the exchange falsifies the volume, the CMC will detect the results of the exchange.

If the CMC commits fraud by promoting a new ICO, of course they have good reasons, because at the time the ICO was promoted to CMC, they did not admit that they would commit fraud. Fraud will be detected halfway through the project, not initially launched.

This is why crypto investors should not believe easily on any crypto advertisement that they see on the internet and always do a proper research before investing. Money is what makes this space untrustworthy, both crypto rating websites and crypto exchanges don't care if a project is been made to scam people or not as far as money is to be made, scammers too are now smart enough to bribe icorating websites and get listed on coinmarketcap as well, you need to be careful where you put your money and always watchout for money sharks

CMC only promoting with ICOs want to pay with higher value but when you find CMC promote with scam ICOs you can give or make topic on bitcointalk tread about what the scam ICOs promote by CMC, don't worry if you want to give correct information although have fight with CMC website, when you get very strong valid proof you can explain for investor about scam ICOs promoting.

CMC are listing projects that pass in their requirements, they will put the exchange where its listed, their ANN thread, and their social media channels.
That's it, its pretty simple as they don't want to make things complicated, if they will have to investigate, I think it would take a lot of time before a single coin will be able to be listed in CMC.

To an extent i would not hold coinmarketcap responsible as most of those projects don't have guns pointed to the head of investors corcing them to invest. You are always advised to research extensively on what project you want to commit your resources to before doing so. That you decided to commit resources to a project because the project has its banners on coinmarketcap website does not in anyway satisfy the disgust.

The crypto fame attracts scammers right now that's why we can see those scam projects coming up and we must be careful really upon choosing since we might gonna harm the newbies if we continue to participate on them. So maybe for now since the scamming is rampant in ICO scene much better if we don't join on them for a while so that we can  discourage scammers to campaigns and by this if we cannot stop them unless we can minimize their potential victim.

everyone blaming CoinMarketcap. but no one accept the fact that they themselves might be promoting a possible scam in their Signature Space. I want to ask everyone here the signatures you are wearing. how much you are sure about that project? they all could be scams too.
and Coinmarketcap was very clear. they never endorsed the projects they advertise in ad space. it's every individual's own responsibility to do the research about a project and make his decision on his own behalf.

I think every service provided for customers is definitely the best, maybe they do verification that we don't know, we can't blame CMC because their ads are also the best, behind that we can see in 2017 all competing to make money from crypto because Butcoin prices have increased dramatically, now we must be careful in participating because they are scammers who know how to follow the paths that are provided in every crypto room today.

It sadden my heart whenever I see some good and reputable platforms promoting scam projects, they have never  care to scrutinize the project before advertising them, a just because they are paid for promotion they can promote the project to the world.
Personally, I do my own research before I invest into any project because, money isn't easy to get and should be invested wisely. Never trust any platform without, investigate the project before making your investment.

There are some out there that promotes only those real project. It is just not as popular as those business platform. Still business is business in the end. Just give an enough money to someone they would be doing what you wanted. This literally happened as well on the outside world. Let us just hope for those who will be seeing those scam promotions be more aware and search more about the project they will be engaging.

The project advertised by CMC and other websites is not reliable to judge the legitimacy of a certain project. Avoiding them to stop their interest in creating a new project can be a simple way for them to stay away once they realized that there will be no longer participants wanted to perform in ICO's. Increasing numbers of scam ico can be stopped once this performed.

I am not so familiar with what is happening with the cmc pricing but as what I see, I guess they proceed with some verifications before listing any projects in their website but with regards to banner advertisement I will be surprised if they will accept any projects without verifying first if it is legit or scam.

They have huge audience so it will be bad for them if this kind of scenario is still there. Do you have samples of projects that were listed in the past in cmc even if they are scam projects so we can also double check in our side.

You cannot trust any review sites nor any rating websites as they take money to have good reviews and we have seen that in the past even celebrities taking money to promote scam and shitty ICO projects, so you really cannot trust all these advertisement and the scammers will find a way to attract investors and be smart enough to understand those and you will save your money, bitcoin is the only coin that can be trusted and not any shitty token projects.

If it sadden your heart as you have said, can you be 100% sure that, your current promotion on this forum is legit? Is it free of scam ? How are you sure you are not promoting a scam project? Basically am not surprise with many comments on this thread because they are ignorant of what they promote.
