I think every service provided for customers is definitely the best, maybe they do verification that we don't know, we can't blame CMC because their ads are also the best, behind that we can see in 2017 all competing to make money from crypto because Butcoin prices have increased dramatically, now we must be careful in participating because they are scammers who know how to follow the paths that are provided in every crypto room today.

Indeed. they are blaming CMC for this and they don't even know how to scout a project because they don't know how to avoid scams. we can't blame every single if this issue in cmc because a lot of scam projects now are handy and there main reason is to play victim and want their projects unsuccessful. most of them are have legit ceo, legit teams that's why cmc won't decline them from listing. they have scam plans at the end that's why it won't easy to predict projects now because of fraudulent developers.

It sadden my heart whenever I see some good and reputable platforms promoting scam projects, they have never  care to scrutinize the project before advertising them, a just because they are paid for promotion they can promote the project to the world. ..........

If it sadden your heart as you have said, can you be 100% sure that, your current promotion on this forum is legit? Is it free of scam ? How are you sure you are not promoting a scam project? Basically am not surprise with many comments on this thread because they are ignorant of what they promote.

Nowadays we cannot avoid the deception faced. because so much is being manipulated. Agree that some people do not know what they are promoting. on average only fixated on large allocations. and in the end it is the same because the price has decreased so much. so it's better we are smarter in doing promotions. even though it's all free

Maybe what to be my question is, how define ICO to be scam project if there are no evidence that ICO will take out people's money. Maybe that advertising sites already have their standar about which project that can use their services. But at the end, even bounty hunters sometime don't know if the project campaign that they already joined turn to scam or maybe not have value in market.

What is happening is that, most of the time, advertisers are the bounty hunters as well. I became a bounty hunter before, and I strictly not supporting scam projects and I will never knowingly support bounty projects. Most of the time what is happening is that they promise good amount, not that high, but just in exact, so you will believe the project because the particular scam are those that promise something that is too good to be true. In this case, you knowing the project is legit will turn out to be scam.

The lesson here, you cannot determine now, what is legit and good unless you haven't really tried and proved it. So we really need to take risk in order to earn profit while not supporting these frauds.

I really want every project that wants to make ICO / IEO to apply clear legal rules governed by the local country, so when the developers want to make ICO / IEO then they have to deal with the government and the police so that the developers become serious about running the project.

such projects will be difficult to realize because government regulations will be more complicated to obtain. but it is useful for investors because if a project that already has a legal entity will make investors increasingly believe its purity and bounty participants can also benefit because they can also ensure the authenticity of the project

I'm not defending Coinmarketcap, but they are a stable site with stable income from their advertising if they know that a project is a scam they are not going to accept, they are an advertising company and not a review and rating site to tell us what are scams and what is not, the burden is on the investors, not all that glitters are gold, investors must do extensive research and not rely on advertising company.

Bounty hunters were not to compare to Web advertisements.
There is a little bit of difference withing a bounty hunter and an advertisement posted on a website. Let's make it quick

Bounty Hunter - being a bounty hunter will not give you any payment until the end of the project, whether it is legit or not, your payment will be on hold and cannot be touch. It means bounty hunters are working for the promise bounty payment.

Web advertisement - It is being paid at the same time as being posted the ads on their website. Whether the project is a scam or not, they are already paid.

Both cannot determine if the project is legit or scam; However, bounty hunters will remain as one of the victims of those projects.

I agreed that maybe there is a regulation in these kinds of projects to at least lessen the scam probability as you know since the crypto world is booming and new players are coming in, there are a lot of people who will scam or will be scammed with those filthy people! I agree with your point that the coinmarketcap site is the biggest site in the advertising industry and I personally think that they are one of the most trusted sites because they display complete data including crypto price charts. Apart from that, not just any coin can be registered there, only good coins can be registered there and if there is manipulation of coins, I don't think they will last long.

Seriously, that's business and they don't care whether they're advertising scam projects or not. They'll just reason out that they're not affiliated to all of those and we should invest at our own risk.

Called with business when you got payment with higher fees you will promote although scam ICOs project, I think coinmarketcap doing the same opinion what I said, they will promote all ICOs without check legal or not and scam or trusted although they have receive payment will promote an ICO project, other time ICO will be scam is not their business because have got payment from ICO promoting site.

Going back to 2017 scam ICO launchings, one thing for sure, sites like Coin Market Cap have played a very big role in promoting those scams. Yes they did it because they want money but one thing they should realize that this thing would lead to distrust of new people in crypto which would ultimately also close their shop as well.

Coin Market Cap takes a huge amount of money from those scammers.

Well, for most people nowadays money matters to them, even advisors can be paid without doing a proper research and investigation about the project, what matters is that 'if the price is right', so for me, I can say that let's just do our part to investigate on our own and not just rely on them.

That's true, and it's not going to change.  As long as any ico project pays for the advertising, what does coinmarketcap care about that project's legitimacy?  I also don't see it as coinmarketcap's duty to determine whether a project is a scam or not, just like it isn't a bounty manager's duty to do the same.  Sometimes it's even impossible to tell beforehand anyway.

Just don't pay attention to any ico advertising, that's my sage advice since probably at least 90% of them are going to be scams.  I'm not sure who those people are who invest their money in them, but you can't protect everyone from gullibility.

The big reality is that everyone is talking about reducing scam and fighting it but those who rules the web with big activities do not really care or put into effect all the talks they about.
Coin Markets Cap won't deny they don't know that some of those ICOs ad listed on their sites are scams, so far they can pay them, the ads will be up in no time. Another thing is that, some investor usually believe that once an ICO is listed in a CMC, it means legit; this is absolutely wrong.

ICO rating is a scam because of so many fake ratings. The regulation will not be the best way to reviving the ico. Investors have already lost their trust to the ico and this is true. That rating creator must be based on the community's vote and not only based on how much paid by scam ico to create a fake rating. To give back the investor's trust is a very difficult task to do.

ICO rating is a scam because of so many fake ratings. The regulation will not be the best way to reviving the ico. Investors have already lost their trust to the ico and this is true. That rating creator must be based on the community's vote and not only based on how much paid by scam ico to create a fake rating. To give back the investor's trust is a very difficult task to do.

yep,ico rating quality now  very bad.mostly their review be shit projects,and if they keep doing this way based only how much they paid we will not see good projects in market.its very subjective if we review based on money.community vote could be solution for it,our review compared with another analisys and we will find advantages and weakness from current projects.but unfortunately its not started yet.
