Most of cryptocurrency activities are mainly bitcoin and the btc itself has became the face of the market. It has been observed that alts have the spotlight along with the increase in the prices of btc. Nevertheless, altcoins have their own identities and fluctuations in the market. There is still less than two months before the year ends so there will be other things that can happen.

Seriously, nobody really knows. I remember people saying alt season will start upon EOS mainnet launch but that never happened. Now, some are saying XRP will rally the altcoins and it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

If you ever plan to go with altcoins hoping there will be an alt season, stick with the top 10 or top 20. Don't expect a 1000X or more from relatively unknown alts.

well, sometimes people always speculate when they hear there will be good news in the future. So they started to speculate that the pump will happen next month, or next year, yeah, I do that too. in fact, we really do not know when it happened, because of that I have also prepared several popular coins that I feel have potential (which certainly included in 10 popular coins today).

I also agree with that. when you believe that the altseason will arrive, then start choosing popular coins (recommended 10 top altcoin) because from now on, it can happen at any time.

Totally agree with this. Something behind those top 20 though isn't guaranteed that it will be good in the long run. Stick with top 10 for better and top 20 if you just want to expand your reach. Oh in addition if you are confident enough then try out something new in the market. Besides such altcoin will only be up if Bitcoin's market start to bull run.

I have heard about same idea many times. But, I do not agree with it, think about it. The right FOMO will happen after we reach atleast $50,000 level. Why? Because people are still thinking if Bitcoin can touch its ATH again, and if yes, then they will be afraid that they are too late, so they will start buying after these 2 levels will be confirmed and nobody will doubt about Bitcoin anymore.

the establishment becomes important for a time like this, to wait for the altseason we must focus and continue to believe that it will be present, by searching for some potentially altcoin aimed at investing in the coming altseason. and if you want to make a temporary stop then it's a pretty good path from the market you have to look at the market as it is today which might be disappointed. so prepare yourself for the altseason, hoping you can take advantage of it

The speculation of altcoin pump around bitcoin at $20k expectation is basically on traders sentiments. Every investor in bitcoin at $9000+ that are still holding have lower risk ability in the space and it is difficult to pump any altcoin if the trade volume cant be maintained. Scam coins will die in short while if they cant give a product that has a use case. Next year is going to be  interesting, watch out for lots of surprises in both altcoin and bitcoin and I think there will good profit for many.

Yes, we have to be prepared but don't rush. It will come if it will come and if it won't, then we have to be patient.

Altcoin season will come after a good strong bitcoin rally, this can barely happen before. So until we see some good movement on BTC, there is no point in discussing this.

Yes, we already have to wait for a long time, and I guess that the bull market will come soon. We have a big event in the future, bitcoin will halving, and that can cause the altcoin to increase too. But before we know what will happen before bitcoin halving, we need to wait for a while and be patient. But we have to use this time to invest in bitcoin or altcoin if we want to make a big profit in the future. If you're going to invest in altcoins, you need to be very careful because not all altcoins can increase when the bull market comes, although all altcoins will have the same opportunity to grow.

It is very good that no one knows when it happened. The fact is, each altcoin on the market has its unique path or road map its follows. Don't expect all altcoins on the market to surge or bull at the same time because each coin has its plans. It is always best to research and pick out the alt coins which are capable of rising within some particular point in time and invest in them rather than investing in all altcoins with the hope that all altcoins will bull.

I don't think that there is a 50% chance. In my opinion, at the most it is 20%.

And by using the term "alt season", if you mean all the altcoins rallying (just like the case in 2017), then I am afraid that your dreams may never come to fruition. Back in 2017, we had a lot of immature and greedy investors who pumped a lot of money in to the shitcoins. That is not going to repeat because many of these users exited after incurring losses and the remaining ones have learnt their lesson not to deal with shitcoins.

There can be an alt season in the future. But don't expect all the 10,000 plus alts to go up this time. The next rally (if it occurs) will be confined to a few dozen coins. The other shitcoins may move up temporarily under the influence of the genuine coins, but they will crash once the initial hype is over. Now the trick is to identify the best coins, but it will be like searching for a needle in the haystack.

Nope its 100/0 ? that's what i see in the trends. Crypto Market is not showing any positive statistics that can trigger extraordinary breakout like it was in 2017.

This bear we are talking about is just 2 years and majority of us are already giving up on them, and some of us have left money in the bank for years which we have not gotten any increase on it, I understand that the difference is that you can always meet the equivalent of the value of your product in the bank at any time, but crypto could tie your money down for years after you must experience some little dump.

If many of us had actually listen to just put all your investment in bitcoin, while we may just use some of these altcoins for just transaction alone, a whole lot of people would have been complaining less by now, but there is still chance to correct those mistakes by forgetting those altcoins, and just furthering with bitcoin investment.

If an altcoin season arrives, that's how I'd expect it to play out too. Junk coins will remain junk, and perhaps a couple of dozen (or less) coins from the top 100-200 may rise. But even then, I wouldn't expect anything crazy, more like simply retracing back to values (in btc, not fiat) to the earlier summer months. So for some, they may still be at a loss regardless.

Or it may be a weird season, like asian coins rising primarily due to China's influence, or something odd like that. Who knows...

The coins that pump extraordinarily, most times do not have the adequate volume to justify and to keep the price on the high side. This is why you see them dump unreasonable, since there is nothing to hold them at the price.
Bill Gate cannot put all his wealth in crypto. In fact, I do not think he will ever invest in cryptocurrency.

I thought that the bull run would be after Bakkt is launched due to how it was being hyped that institutions will start pumping to increase after Bakkt is launched, but it seems that's not it since the price didn't go up and even Bakkt traded only seven Bitcoins the day they launched.

December is also approaching and I'm thinking there might be a huge increase because the price of Bitcoin is already showing signs of increase. The price managed to pass the $7000 and the $8000 mark and has reached $9000 ($9.2k currently). But if this is not it, then we should be looking forward to next year. One prediction I saw in 2018 was that price will go up in 2020. Whichever one it is, we all should just have patience.

We may be right to determine alt seasons when there is bull. Because what drives the alts is just the Bitcoin. So I think when their is bull in bitcoin, altcoins see their seasons. I hope my thoughts are right.

Yes, and the next bull run is yet to come. Maybe after a couple of months or next year, bull run will come but there is still no guarantee when will it happen.

It is possible, as the current status of the market, all cryptos are showing a slow movement on their prices. This could be a sign that before the end of this month, we can see a lot of changes in the market status.

Honestly, I don't expect much from altcoins anymore. They are all affected by BTC, so might as well invest in Bitcoin directly. Until a coin truly and permanently decouples from BTC, it will simply follow the lead with lesser price performance.
