It is still hard for ethereum to increase its price, however, we can still see an improvement to its price compared to the past few weeks.

In my opinion the price of Ethereum is quite nice for making investments for the long term run especially when PoS will be available so buying 35 ETH is like running a masternode and the risk involved is minimum compared to invest in other cryptocurrencies. If you want to get rich quick and over night, this is not the time and for sure cryptocurrencies are not the way ( maybe if  you make a lucky buy just before the bull run begins ) so have patience and make smart investment as no one can tell you why the price of Ethereum won't rise for now besides the fails of ICO's and ERC 20 tokens based projects followed by smart contracts.

Ethereum still has a strong marketing team that for sure have a plan for the incoming future and fate of the project.

Exactly, despite of this situation we have in the market, ethereum is still good as an investment for the long run. Buying ethereum as of now can give you a nice profit when bull run comes.

Although I am still a user of Ethereum the problem is when the smart contract was introduced. A lot of tokens suddenly popped out using the ERC20.
With that, the buyers wi need to buy the token using Ethereum and then the ICO company sells it for USD. That made it fall in my opinion.

It is not very surprising to see the weakness from Ethereum. Ever since the ICO market went bust, Ethereum has been sliding down. And things haven't been helped by the slow progress of various initiatives, such as Ethereum 2.0. As of now, ETH has found strong support around the $180 level and we can expect the price to hover around the $180-200 levels for the next few weeks. But in the long term, I am a bit more pessimistic. There is no doubt that the interest in Ethereum is on the decline.

Really?  I think the range its been trading in is just a result of bitcoin also trading in a range and that if/when bitcoin starts to move back toward its all time high, Eth will follow.  I even think that regardless of what btc does, Eth will increase in the long term and especially when it moves toward proof of stake.

I do agree with you about all the scamming, however.  The platform has been seriously abused by unscrupulous scammers creating tokens that have no use and no value whatsoever.  It's hard to look at ethereum and *not* see that.  But that doesn't mean tokens are going to remain useless forever.  It just seems that no one has found a use for Eth other than scamming yet.  That sounds bleak, but I have hope that it will eventually be exploited for something good.

Might be because not that many projects are using ethtereum nowadays and the projects that were using their ERC-20 smart contracts failed.

I really thought with the news of ethereum 2.0 we will see another price breakthrough, but unfortunately it didnt increase the price that much. Just be patient, I'm sure ethereum will once again gain its glory. People are just waiting for the very right moment to buy them.

I don't actually see any problem with Ethereum right now. It's a normal thing and there's nothing to worry about because if we'll look back at the previous price of Ethereum, we could see how it improved and developed. Any cryptocurrency could change it's price because of its volatility. The best thing that we can do it to deal with every market situation and take it as an opportunity to apply the basic way to earn which is to buy low and sell when the price gets better.

That is normal to see ethereum cannot increase this time because bitcoin is not increasing higher too.
