I imagine that if the hacker was smart enough to stole so many ethereums he should be smart enough to know that you cannot really sell those kind of amounts in any exchange without raising questions about where you got that money, and any investigation will soon allow exchanges to discover that those coins have been stolen, so the first thing that he will do is probably try to erase his tracks by mixing those coins and then sell them very slowly to not bring attention to himself.

This is too normal because the market will have strong growth period and there will be periods of sharp decline. That is called correction. I know that people are wondering why alts have dropped so much that the reason is that traders and investors are now focusing on bitcoin trading and obviously its price will skyrocket due to high demand. then after the downtrend ends, the alts will once again moon, maybe 2020 or 2021.

ethereum is falling because bitcoin fall as well.

I think like other altcoins the price is still depending on the price flow of bitcoin,
and Ethereum has been quiet, it needs a good update or good news.

Anyhow, "network upgrade" is a better word than hard fork for ethereum because it will go smooth and easy, everyone accept the fact and we have majority in this

The eth price is really normal right now nothing is happening and nothing to worry as bitcoin price also fall hard today Im sure eth will do the same and once reversal occurs then eventually eth will follow btc but if not and remains at the bottom then theres something wrong with eth but I cannot see anything bad for now just go with the flow buy the dip.

The only normal here is when ETH will bounce back again and will start to recover back to $200 usd, but I am more concern with BTC now, hopefully it will not drop back to $6K again.

actually the lost experience by ETH right now is normal since bitcoin the mother of crypto currency lost its value also for  10% .
And we all know that if bitcoin drops other altcoin will follow and thats what happen to ETH.

That's correct, and if you noticed, when BTC rises, ETH would either drop or follow but it will not pump as high as BTC, but if BTC dump, ETH will even dump higher and it always follow, this tells us that bitcoin has controlled the market.

ETH has spent its worst year in the market.  Perhaps it was too much restrained from BTC.  But I have faith in ETH and try to keep waiting.  This is the time for you to try to hoard so many tokens from ETH.  It will return in Q2 2020 and increase to the desired price.

Because there are still more sellers than buyers. That's the simplest explanation on why the price of Ethereum keeps on ranging. Be glad it isn't sub $100 anymore. However bull markets begin in a sea of pessimism. And Bitcointalk is inundated right now.

There have been several good news in the past years for ethereum and many people were expecting that this could wake up the market and give profits to all of those that had been holding their ethereum for the long term, and despite all of that the market of ethereum is still not recovering, we must admit that there is simply no demand for ethereum and without that demand the price cannot go up, and it is impossible for the demand to go up when bitcoin is moving so much and giving so many profits, if you want to know when ethereum could move up in value then you should know that will be when bitcoin experiences a period of stability.

This thread had its last discussion almost an year ago. By that time the price of ethereum was within the range of $150 - $250. The growth from that point have reached the value higher than $600. The market has now started to move gradually along with the bitcoin price move. As a result with the decline in the price of bitcoin there is drop in the price of ethereum reaching close around $500.
