I will challenge my self to become one of the best member of this forum. Thus, setting my goal to become legendary member in just a year,


Start Date: November 2, 2019
Target Date: November 2, 2020

For me, this might not be the best idea to start off posting more sensible topics, but setting up a goal where everyone can see will put some pressure to myself and my dignity will be tested.

This is for the sake of becoming one of the best contributors to this forum, and will serve as a challenge for other members as well.




-A message for those top ranked members here: should you have any strategies and ways on how to achieve higher rank fast, please tell me through the comments below.

I don't want to ruin your plans, but it is not possible to reach Legendary rank with your current activity (unless you mean reaching 1000 merit) .At least  it is always a good idea to work on post quality.
Imho, no need to push yourself into stuff like this, just write decent posts, and you will get merits eventually. Rinse and repeat.

Lol.  OP, the worst thing you could have done was to announce your plans like this.  Words on a computer screen over the internet are pretty much worthless in the eyes of people reading them--instead of talking about plans for your big achievement, it would be better to just do it.  Make good posts because you like to do it and not because bitcointalk is some sort of RPG where you level up.

You have yet to earn a single merit, but I'm sure you know this already.  So you must realize how hard it is, and I'm hoping this thread isn't some sort of merit-grab attempt (but that's what I'm leaning toward).  I'm not trying to shoot you down here, just giving you an honest opinion.  

I'm going to bookmark this thread since you did set a hard date on when you want to achieve your goal and I don't suspect you'll bump it if you fail.  Good luck, dude.

Or Reputation, though a notebook probably would be the best option.  In any case, he's not going to hit Legendary by the time his self-imposed deadline rolls around.  Becoming "one of the best members of this forum" is another story, though.

Ironically, I did something similar when I joined, although I didn't set a target and a time frame, merits are not entirely dependent on you, the merit circulation and your post visibility by merit senders matters.
Do not posts simply for merits, but rather to contribute to the forum qualitatively. The former follows.

It's ashame that on the day you received your first Merits, it's discovered you have been cheating on bounties and signature campaigns with your alts. Do you see how greed can lead to your downfall?

Once your accounts are red tagged then they will be almost useless in this forum especially for a person who is looking to make money from the forum like you.

I got the reason why I didn't have any merits before, not reputable, and not worthy as a member of this forum.

Right now, I want all the mistakes of my past to be corrected. If a red trust will be my faith, and being banned, I'll take that as a consequence. This is the the day I first receive a merit from a pure hardwork to this forum. Something that I am proud of. The past might be bad but I'll do my best to make it right. The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

hence, it will take you more than 1 year to reach the minimum activity needed to rank up to legendary which is 775

Legendary occurs randomly between 775 and 1030 activity

So you can forget about this challenge and focus on rebuilding your reputation and explain why you cheated bounty campaigns with your alts (this is a tougher challenge).

I think explanation will not do me any good. Change will, and since this is my come back here, I learned a lesson and I know I can build up my reputation again. This will be a good challenge for me. Thank you so much.

You don't have to post something like this, it backfired and you are exposed, if you want to challenge yourself then go for it, you don't have to aim to be legendary, just aim to be a good contributor of this forum and it will take care of everything.

According the calculator the OP could reach the activity necessary for Legendary rank sometime between June 2021 and March 2022.  So, it's impossible.  Regardless, he could still challenge himself to "become one of the best member of this forum," which in my opinion is independent of rank.

It's hilarious how starting the thread backfired OP already. OP, the best member is not determined by yourself, it's what the community thinks of you. Setting a goal like that will lead you nowhere. Instead, stop being a bounty whore and use the forum for better purposes. Becoming a good member is unrelated to the rank. You already have a history of cheating bounty campaigns, using alt accounts and it's gonna take ages for you to get rid off that.
