Beware! You are not safe if you are using facebook

because facebook is a network which is managed by CIA, and not only CIA, there are many more agencies those are tracking you, including all of your activities, and furthermore, facebook does not care about your privacy, last year, facebook sold 250+ million users data.
I'm sure in this forum 90% more use Facebook, and never seems to be a problem with Facebook social media, however, I also take care not to upload important information, because almost all my friends use facebook so I can't leave the social media.
Sad thing but this is actually the reality where people do already know on what are the possible things or tendencies that might happen
when it comes to our privacy yet majority do really upload their images and even their personal info.We cant really say completely that we are safe
yet leakage had already happened and it will happen once again in the future. We dont even know that there were backdoors or just simply making
hidden transactions behind curtains. No one knows!

actually we are not safe as long as we use internet, we all know privacy is just a word, nothing more, everyone is watching everyone that they can
we know that the next world trade will be on DATA, which will be our data/habits/interests that smart-A will use to fill their deeper pockets

this is why nobody is safe nowadays, all we can do is just try to leak less data to this dirty world
Just to have some recall of FB leaks.

and now the recent one? https://www.zdnet.com/article/facebook-reveals-another-data-breach-this-time-involving-developers/

Dont know why people do still trust up facebook.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Then what? Even if you do warn up people they would still make use of this platform.Come to think even just complying some documentations on real-life already exposes up your identity.

I agree with you.

What exactly is the danger? The CIA already owns all the data on its citizens. Of course, there is nothing pleasant in the fact that someone can read your data if necessary.
However, such a need will not arise if you do not break the law. In any case, for those who are very much concerned about their privacy, there are whole instructions in the web about how to stay anonymous, especially in the USA.

Aren't you afraid that it might be your personal information that is being sold in the black market by the CIA? Including your phone number, address, emails, friends and families? Well, if you don't value your privacy then it's fine you can use their controlled platforms but I wouldn't share any personal information online since I know they do have some access to the social media platforms.

Even in any other social sites are not safe I'm just always seen complaining about this problem not only facebook. So we must  protect our information dont give them easily, And you said we dont need to share to everyone and that is true we must to be hiding always on what we have.

As of now their are lots site that need our information, Before we make some move we need to think it first if this is safe or not.

When we do talk about traditional information requirements then even we dont like it we wont really have any other choice. Why?
If you do oppose then you will surely not able to get on what you are needing into like some documentations neither getting a passport or
even filling up for your insurance etc. Its understandable though since theres no other way for you to private out your entire personal info.
When it comes to online matter then we can make a selection if we decide to go or oppose with it.

For me, on the contrary, it plays an important role, which is why I try to post a minimum of information about myself on the social network, and only the one that can not potentially harm me.
However, I consider myself a paronoid, to some extent, or it is simply difficult for me to distinguish paranoid thoughts from too cautious ones, but it is possible that this is the same things.
But so I feel calmer.

But there is still a huge number of ordinary people whose own privacy does not bother so much. In addition, not only the CIA can sell your data.
For ordinary people, the information that Facebook merges data is useful, but not critical. Many just do not care.

I might agreed to some of the members here said that even you warned the community here in the forum, for sure majority of them will continue to use Facebook for sure. And besides, you can still use FB by your code name for now, because so far I am using it now not my real name but only a code name or nickname only.

It's okay to use social media for some purpose, just like to update and in sending message from your loved ones, but do not let it be your diary that almost every details in your life is written there, that everything you are eating, you are going with, you are doing is updated, we should still keep privacy of ourselves, don't let it waste your time. Since I have found out that facebook is not safe at all, I deleted all important details in my account.

I have been using facebook for a long time, And am aware that facebook knows our Identities. But does facebook also know our chat conversations? Because if facebook knows this it is best that I delete the private copy of the private key in my chat box. Because it's dangerous now?

This is what will happen if you just checked the policy and terms agreement without reading. There are lots of scandal where facebook gets involved, the greatest so far? is with cambridge analytica that breached the facebook's database, get millions of facebook user personal data and used for political campaign last 2018. Cambridge Analytica was also behind the 2015 harvesting of the same data by the facebook users.

I've been using facebook for about a decade now, My only personal information I put there is my name and educational attainment, nothing more serious.

I think only those who value their privacy will do the safety first method because not everyone will hide their real identity if they were just an ordinary people. But for those people who have names to protect I think social media platforms is not for them. And since there are more secure application for making calls and texts they should stick to that because it is more safer than to use the social media platforms.

Back in Friendster, Myspace, Habbo (oh I missed them), we already exposing our identity and activities. So not a surprise anymore if Facebook will do the same thing. They are regulated and running as a legit company so I will just put my cents on that reason that my privacy is safe but not totally safe if you got what I mean. Remember when Mark questioned in the Senate? He will be jailed for good if this privacy thing will put on the shit.

I don't want to overreact on that. If you are not comfortable using Facebook because you treasure your privacy, then stay out of the internet and began living the 70s, 80's , 90's life.

I didnt know that that Mark Zuckerberg turned over the rights to operate Facebook to CIA, if you have a solid piece of evidence why not post here so we can learn from it. One thing I know of this online companies are spending millions of dollars to improve their site security because they know if someone screamed that their personal information was sold to another without them knowing, they could be out of business anytime. You can sue them, but, before you do that, try to read the terms and conditions carefully as it might be stated in there and you just clicked I agree when you signed up with out even reading.

It sure I'm not one of them, in fact, I merely open my FB account. For some reason why we keep un-tracked or keeping anonymously is most likely we would like to retain our privacy and that is our right to do so. But can't tell that CIA would sell users data to anyone else as they know what the consequences they might face on.

And I don't think that OP would have some basis of these serious allegations against CIA.

Beware! You are not safe if you are using facebook

because facebook is a network which is managed by CIA, and not only CIA, there are many more agencies those are tracking you, including all of your activities, and furthermore, facebook does not care about your privacy, last year, facebook sold 250+ million users data.

Where's the evidence? You got the big confidence out there. Anyway thank you for reminding us but I don't think facebook isn't safe they cannot even deploy their platforms without undergoing all test and stuff. Although everything is hackable but I think if someones got harm by that it might in the end of the user but not with facebook because they are the one clicking some stuff that contains tools to initiate hacking thing, and in addition facebook provides terms and conditions to its users before they could sign up.

Then what? Even if you do warn up people they would still make use of this platform.Come to think even just complying some documentations on real-life already exposes up your identity.
Only 1% of the population here will see this topic over 100+ million people in my country. We are so very addicted in using facebook app. What do I want to say? Only few people can understand what OP saying. In fact, even he said about data stealing, many people who saw this will ignore what he said. Facebook is a good platform that connects millions of people around the world. And even it has issue from data stealing, many users will always use it.

BIG WINNER!

No platforms are safe. Everything can be hacked, even huge companies like NASA that once been hacked by a single person. It is just a matter of your own security. Like how literate are you on surfing on the internet, clicking site and other things you found interesting. Well I won't get shocked by such issue if facebook would get hack 'cause everything can be.

Most of them use Facebook using Facebook is not bad but the way you make use of it should be good. And you should not share  all your personal information and keep updating each and every thing Watever happens in life is not safe.

Facebook is useful for communication purpose.

When we are first time registering in Facebook itself we give our information. For example mobile no etc, but we really do not know whether they share our personal data  or not.

matters relating to the use of libra, this will be a serious problem, but if data profile problems etc. so far it has become common knowledge and cia also has the right to immunity to enter in it, we just have to be wise to use the function of social media, I'm sure it's not only facebook that is not safe in terms of privacy. Cambridge Analytica is just the initial wave of system weaknesses owned by Zuckerberg.
