By the way, the Bitcoin OTC web order book lists a standing order to sell BTC for MoneyPak, and another order to sell Mt. Gox USD for MoneyPak. http://bitcoin-otc.com/vieworderbook.php?notes=moneypak

Bitcoin OTC is a chat channel where individuals discuss/trade Bitcoin. There is an order book, which sgornick linked, where you can see who is selling what. Then just go to the chat and ask that individual to trade, and negotiate a deal.

$243.90, plus $4.95 (I think) to buy the MoneyPak. I've also traded MoneyPak for Bitcoin with Keefe and it was very quick and easy.

What's involved in determining if the Moneypak number is valid? How long does it take?

if you deposit it into your paypal account, it is instant. don't know the details of other methods though.

It's best to immediately use the funds on the Moneypak after a transaction (PayPal, refill a visa card, etc). Otherwise, the one who sold the Moneypak could spend the pak elsewhere. During any Moneypak transaction, the balance of the card is displayed on Green Dot's website for you to verify.

Yeah, MoneyPak is nice because all you need to transmit is the code. I believe that the limit is $1000 if purchased at WalMart, while it's $500 everywhere else.

I see on the MoneyPak web site that it costs $4.95 or less. Under what conditions is it less, and by how much? Can you buy them with a credit card?

Cash only. I think there may be a store that offers them at a lower rate, but I could be wrong.

If you use a MoneyPak to fund a Rixty account, Rixty refunds your $4.95 fee. Perhaps that what they mean by less?
