In the order of figuring out interest for a complete board with chip we added a small form we would like you to fill out.  This will help us gauge over the next few weeks how many boards batch one will look like and how to make sure we can keep up with the demand, but also doing this you will be contacted first when our shop goes live.

Please visit http://peppermining.com/board-interest/

Cheers!

Is this building done inside or outside EU? It has strong impact of my interest in it.

Currently this will be handled in the US.

Count me in. I'm excited to see what MrTeal and ChipGeek produce. My first batch Chilis are still running strong and I'm confident the dynamic duo will produce another excellent device.

We've spoken with HashFast already and they have assured us that they have sufficient quantity of the chips available immediately for what we need. We do have a couple chips ready now (that you can see in the picture) that are just waiting for the boards to be built so they can be tested.

While I wish you all the best with your project, I regret you used Hashfast as your partner.

As a Hashfast customer, I can tell you from experience they have only delivered a fraction of the pre-orders they took. There are thousands of units (MPP on the BBJets Batch #1, Upgrade kits for the BBJets, Batch #2 "Sierra"s and MPP on the Sierra's) that still need to ship out and customers have been waiting for months without any updates or info. They changed their TOS on a few occasions to minimize the cost of refunds, and so an and so an.

If they now start bulk shipping you chips, they are actually reselling inventory that should have been gone to their own customers. Do you really want to do business with a company that uses such despicable practices? You'll end of holding the short end of the stick, like many others (the custom hardware forum has a few threads like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg5772340#msg5772340) like Icedrill.

you should not buy a Hashfast unit.  I was a batch one customer, we paid 60 BTC for one unit and were promised to be repaid in BTC if they missed the deadline which when buying in early aug/sept. we thought it was 30 oct 2013 but in the fine print it was 1 jan 2014 which they changed that date 3 times. Customers still have not sent the MPP. Batch one customers tried to warn people very early on(mid oct) about all these elements on bitcointalk, reddit, and http://hashfast.org/Main_Page to tell about all the lies. Just so you know some of batch one customers have lost 10’s of thousands of dollars. We yelled at HF we wrote to the FBI fraud dept., Better Business, State attorneys, chamber of commerce, some even got their own lawyers. They’re on going lawsuits and arbitration. Check the Fine Print 10 day warrants and need to be in lab settings. No Refunds just check the fine print if you order. They have next to no help send the same form letter to any problem.

Friedcat, bless his heart, doesn't have an ASIC that does ~750GH/s per chip.   Cheesy

I notice you didn't complain when the chili used BFL chips.   Roll Eyes

If you could limit your HashFast Derangement Syndrome to the proper hate/rage threads, that'd be great...

"Bitcoin enables ordinary people to fight back, to avoid and evade snooping governments, which enact, use and abuse laws that allow them, without due process, to investigate, tax, control and seize privately owned assets."  -   Leon Louw

“We can say without equivocation that firms like MasterCard, Visa and the TBTF banks like JPMorgan and Goldman hate the idea of ever having to compete for business again. They have grown comfortable in their corrupt world of writing laws for themselves without any regulatory oversight. They enjoy the exorbitant privilege of bilking the American economy with extortionary transaction rates. They are scared of Bitcoin. And they should be. It offers transparency, cost efficiency and anonymity.” - Max Kaiser

You know... As much as I wanted to support MrTeal's work his first round, I wasn't able to because of the BFL connection.

This post if yours just completely turned me off of this project for the same reasons. You remind me too much of "he who shall not be named" and I'll be damned if I ever support a company like that again.

As a B1 HashFast customer who also has not received his hardware, I sympathize with you. I do not have a huge amount of insight into the inner workings of the company, but my understanding is that HashFast is not short on chips; the infact have an excess of them. The delays are related to other issues they have with their supply and production chain. I know people don't want to hear it, but sometimes the main component you're designing for is actually the easiest to get. It's all the other stuff that you built in but when you go to actually buy them, there's none to be found. I was actually looking to use one cool part in particular with the Habanero (the IR3575 integrated PowIRstage), but I just couldn't find any real stock anywhere in the channel. Even going direct to IR, the leadtime is 17-19 weeks plus be screened and approved with a minimum $500k annual volume to set up a direct account.

I can't speak to how accurate all my information is and I'm not sure an official post from HashFast explaining all the reasons that the products are delayed is going to be forthcoming, but all I can say on the chip issue is that I've been told that the sale of excess chip inventory doesn't take product from the existing preorder customers since chips aren't the limiting factor they have.

I wouldn't be surprised if at some juncture we do an AM gen3 board, but that's really not an option at this point. I wanted to do this one because I really like the idea of doing a massively powerful single chip design as it's a great technical challenge, and that's the reason for the choice there. All their other failings aside, they have a pretty cool chip and I'd like to see it really pushed.
