Holding Bitcoin and Ethereum is perfectly fine. You could diversify a portion into BCH, LINK and EOS too or buy those when you have some new funds to invest.

I personally think  there is no "how to" sort of approach to your question. I think a better allocation of your time might be better spent on just diving into every corner of cryptocurrencies space. Study every aspect and every technology. Don't get hung up on the top 20 coins. Dig deeper. Understand blockchain technology as a whole .Don't make any investments . Just submerse yourself in the space. Your "window" or "niche" will emerge. Think most focus on investment first. Some barely scratch the surface of the massive knowledge base but manage to hit the buy and sell buttons on exchanges on day 2 or as soon at their fiat to BTC confirms. I tell friends and family. They should not be trading or investment tell they fully understand what they are buying or selling. If that takes months. So be it

Why do you need to wait? If you can invest while doing your own research about investment. If you have invested today it might be a good opportunity for you because if ever the price increase at the end of December you already earn income and if you keep on waiting until the December end maybe you will regret once the price goes up. Try to invest little by little and then make sure you always do your own research while doing your investment.

There is only one legitimate reason to wait to invest in the market and that is if you do not have the knowledge to profit from the markets but once you have that knowledge and you can beat the market there is not a reason to wait, if you think the price of bitcoin is going to go up during the next weeks and months then this is the perfect moment to invest in it, and it seems we are about to see a small recovery as bitcoin has been growing during the past days.

Investment needs to have a good backup knowledge, you can choose among those coins around which is already existing inside the market. Lesser risk especially if you are a long term holder, due to market volatility making yourself comfortable with the assets that you pick always manage to study and don't rush things out. Your investment always relied on your shoulders you have to work hard to attained success.

I just said based on experience, it would be better if you can join during the IEO phase, at least you can get lower prices, and the fact is that when start trading the price is always pumped and can even reach 100% profit, like TROY you can see it in binance, how about the beginning of the sale until the current price movement.

Rather than looking at the unit price, you should be looking at the market capitalization. Ripple looks as if it is cheaper, because its circulating supply is higher. The price per coin is $0.22, but the market cap is $9.8 billion (44 billion coins in total circulating supply). On the other hand, for Litecoin the unit price is $46 per coin, but the market cap is lower at $2.9 billion.

For IEO's, I can recommend that you follow most of the projects that were launch in Binance exchange as the success rate of their launch is pretty high so there is a big chance that you can get a profit from there.

But it will be best also if you will divide your investment to at least 3 IEO's so you will not lost your small amount of money in an instant in case you can choose a bad project even if it was launch by a reputed exchange because there is always a risk in every investment. Investing it to 3 IEO's will reduce the risk of your investments.

I agree investing both bitcoin and ethereum because profitable and keep increase with higher price, bitcoin adn ethereum become king for bitcoin and altcoin, both of them have been long term in crypto world and give much profitable for investor. My own to choose the amount of investment is still not always on target. But if I see this current state of the coin that is so good and continues to increase I would advise for a large amount of investment. Because the greater the investment given the more profit can be achieved. It is my basis to suggest you invest in large quantities. Invest into crypto these day really risky and you might not profitable with your investment.So i would not suggest any specific coins for you to invest. You have to decide how much profit you want to earn with your investment. If you want low risk and low profit, you should buy bitcoin because of halving going to happen next year, buy around 6-7k and wait for new ATH. But if you want more profit, maybe x10 your investment, you may have to gamble with some IEO or ico.

Nothing wrong with that opinion, those are acceptable to consider before investing.

Everyone will have different opinions about investments. That I know about investing, when a highly supportive market position should use as much of ours as possible for investment. This will affect the results we will get later. So in my opinion the first step before investing is controlling the state of the market first. After that make an investment. Investment in such a market would be very good with a moderate amount.
