It will be hard if you are already addicted to gambling because as you said it becomes a habit already. Getting out of gambling addiction is very hard you may need professional help or rehabilitation to ensure that you will not gamble anymore because if you will just say you'd stop on your own but we know temptations are everywhere if you are not that willing to really stop then you can't stop. Personally, the longest for me is like years, I don't gambling much and I only gamble when bored and sometimes I forget it for months or even years.

Inmy first day of not do gambling its really hard to stop and it make feel regret to not continue because there something inside me to take advantage of a situation even I won a enough amount through it. It take years before I decide to come back and play again but now I do gambling only for fun unlike before that I make it as hobby thats why I become addicted to it.

It is difficult at first particularly when gambling is your habit, you can't easily retain yourself but as long as you are determined to discontinue gambling the you will find a way to manage yourself. It usually takes time and effort to learn self-discipline in order to get a hold of yourself from playing. I'm not a compulsive gambler but I know someone who set himself a limitation on gambling for about 8 months, he told me that it wasn't easy especially when you are surrounded by people who gambles often. He keep himself away from them and went on a vacation to feel relax and do various of things that can make him entertained other than gambling like reading books and watching movies. It went well because he can finally stop himself from playing whenever he want, making him realize how it affects his health and his financial status makes a positive impact on his process of getting better.

For me I have gone 60 days without gambling and am still counting. Although it's not an easy thing but what has helped me is that I simply take my off it , anytime the thought of gambling pops up, I don't give a second chance. I simply bury it from inception.

Your fate would really depend on what would be your actions and if you do let gambling addiction control you then you do know the consequences. People who are addicted would only have 2 ways neither they would go to the recovery path or on self wreckage. It isnt really easy even i dont have experience on actual situation even how hard you do advise those people if they arent serious on quitting or stopping then they wouldnt stop at all or simply its useless. Of course gambling can affect everything from financial to social aspects.

If we coult online gambling, I'd say 1.5 years. After some losses that at the time seemed like overdoing it, I took a long break and just sat back wathcing crypto prices. Other than that, in my coutnry it's pretty frequent that you gamble tiny amounts in social functions, which I'll admit I've been doing frequently but thankfully it hasn't been driving any urge for me to gamble more.

It's hard to take a break from gambling if it's become a habit, what's your Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling, in my case my longest days of break from gambling is 30 days when I take a vacation from a place when there are no casinos, and no internet connection.
My longest one was 3 months and that was 2 years ago when i really lost big on that day because of gambling and i want to quit gambling since that day, but it's really hard to do. You just can't quit, and that's why i'm back afther that 3 months, continue gambling until now. Tbh it's really hard to not gambling after years of gambling.

We could stop from gambling if we have discipline and eagerness on not doing it. Good thing you are not into gambling already. It’s good you are not addicted, so in me it's more than one year I'm not into gambling. Furthermore without gambling it can save us money and time.

That's a good strategy at least you know when to stop. I have almost reached a situation wherein I couldn't take the gambling out of my life. I have been allocating a large portion of my salary for gambling until I have noticed that I'm not gaining a good profit anymore. I almost lost most of my assets so I decided to take a break for over a year. From then I realized that gambling can't ruin our lives but it is us who get addicted to it.

Once I was able to take break from gambling for years because at those times I had moved to my hometown where high-speed Internet was not available at those times. Out of my busy life with my family and friends, I had totally forget about gambling and honestly I did not feel any instinct to push myself to gamble.
I just counted that break had lasted for more than seven months and honestly when you are busy with your routine life then you can easily stay away from any addictions including gambling addiction. I was slightly addicted gambler because I do gamble regularly before that break but now I gamble only if my friends invite and I am able to choose when to gamble and when to stay away regardless of my friend's invite.

It is actually healthy to take breaks all the time, for example even if you are an addict and you decided to force yourself to bet only once every 2-3 days, that would actually lower your addiction as well. The longer breaks you can manage to make would equal to actually stopping slowly.
For example, I used to gamble a lot, nowadays I do not gamble unless I really find something interesting to gamble on. I can go without gambling for months (happened before) and wouldn't even consider gambling an option during that period.
However, if you can gamble responsibly and you can do it without ruining your finance or whatever, once every 2-3 days with small amounts is actually a god amount of break. People think that gambling with intervals is still gambling but there is a huge difference of being capable of stopping yourself whenever you have to and gambling all the time whenever you get the chance.

So you already have the experience of being addicted before? That is good for you because you can break from gambling, and I hope that you can hold yourself from gambling. I think you have control now for yourself because you already have those experiences, so you know to deal with gambling and not getting addicted again. But it is better for you to stay away from gambling because the effect will not be the same as before and it might get worse than before.

My longest was 2 sweet years. When I focused on my business, but I got back from gambling november 2019 and I spent some of my earnings weekly to enjoy myself and let some stress go out by gambling. Gambling is a fun stress reliever only if you know how to control yourself because gambling can easily destroy your life too.

The longest break I have for not gambling is 1 year and 6 months, precisely when I accompany my mother to physical therapy (due to stroke disease). at that time I thought of stopping gambling for a while because I was an only child and my father did not have time to accompany my mother to physical therapy.

That is a long time for you not to gambling. I think you don't have to back to gambling and better to save the money for yourself or help your mother so you can distract your mind from coming back into gambling. From your story, you can avoid gambling because you can think which is the important thing that you should do, and you can select to do that thing than to just playing gambling. If we can do another thing besides playing gambling, that means we can have control for ourselves, and we can avoid playing gambling.

Good for you, as it's really help you to save your fund instead of using it as bankroll you can divert it to much better places of investment. Managing your gamble activities will take a tough decision once you are already attached to this business, people got engaged and hard to resist when everything inside your mindset is all about gambling.

Maybe a week or a month. It is depends on the money i earn and my tine. If i have spare money to gamble then i will play but if i don't have then i will wait until my next income.
