I often think about this, management is something I always think about. So I often make the results that in gambling I often experience losses and sometimes profits. I am not an expert gambler or addict, so I can control myself when I play. from what I know, not many manage losses and profits in gambling.

Time and money management is a difficult thing that we should do in gambling, but if we don't try to manage the time and money, we will not have any money in our pocket. That money will be spent on gambling, while we will spend the time for a long time to play gambling. If we are not an expert gambler or addict in gambling, we can control ourselves to hold the money and limit the money for use in gambling games. But no matter what, if we estimate the losses that we have got in gambling, it will be bigger the loss than the win.

Absolutely, if someone has this real statistic of his own gambling activities then he will feel so bad to see the number of much money he had lost before.
Even if someone do gambling for fun only and lose small amount only every time he/she gamble but it can be a big amount if he/she count it in details.
This overall statistic may make us feel so bad and regret it, as we may think that "if I did not gamble, I'll still have xxxx money and I can use it for other better things"

If you have money and inspite of losing in gambling you are fine with it then no issue else very vital to keep a track of both profits and losses and understand that is it really worth losing the money in gambling considering if you play big bets and losses are in thousands. If those are very small amount then no worries about it.

I also do statistics on my past bets and gambles in order for me to become aware if I keep losing or winning in gambling. It is good to journal sometimes because it make us become a better gambler. We can also know our strength and weaknesses if we will keep recording our bets history. It is better to become aware than to just gambling without knowing our profitability.

thats why i see no reason why people need to tally their gambling expenses and winnings when they can just do it like a normal activities .

instead of counting our gambling money ?better to just consider it used for something funny and enjoyable.so if we win then that is another story.

That largely depends on your general attitude toward gambling

If you are enjoying this activity in a genuine way, you will just consider the money you lost as necessary and required expenses, a payment of sorts. And then your thought would sound like "Man, if I didn't eat and didn't have to buy food, I'd have accumulated so much money by now that I could buy a mountain of better things with it"

On the other hand, if you are in fact looking for profits, and keep on losing year after year, that makes a perfect case for a witty remark by Albert Einstein, who once said that "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" (or insanity is crediting that witticism to him over and over again as he never said it)

To be honest, I feel some regret that I gambled this past days and years but I can't do anything about it but to move on already. Now, I don't want to gamble and I already said to myself that I will totally stop gambling starting this year 2020 . Instead of using your money for gambling, why not use it to buy other stuff that you want or you need .

You don't do that or you will really regret estimating your losses, it's like if you estimated the money you spend in buying the things you wanted, you will also realized that if you save it instead, you could probably buy a house right now or a car, or you could be a millionaire, who knows, right? but since we spent it on the daily basis and it is our choice where to spend our money, the regret shouldn't be there.

Because it is really hard to track down all your gambling expenses unless you are strictly betting online and on a site or two only. Well, if you are diligent enough to take note on all of your gambling expenses anywhere, in casinos, in online sites, in poker clubs, etc, you may be able to come up with a nice breakdown. But I doubt many gambler would go as far as that.

This is really hectic for any gambler to keep tracks for all the money he has lost or won in gambling. The person can though keep notes smartly by penning down big events like the highest money he won and like how and same goes for losses. This can help in developing his future strategies in more effective manner avoiding the mistakes he made in past. Playing without tracks could be more dangerous since you don’t know where you stand.

I am not sure about that because if someone doesn't have a lot of money, he will not play gambling too often, and he will not calculate how much money he will use for gamble. He will consider spending some money but only to enjoy the games and not for trying to making money in gambling. I'm not a big-time gambler but I do gamble when I have spare time, usually in small bets around 20$ usually is losing 20$ when I'm gambling and if I already lost the 20$ I will already stop in playing.
Probably around 100$ is my loss in a month since I only play 3-5 times a month. I don't have a lot of money or profit to bet so this kind of money is already a big deal to me so I stop playing when I lose this money.

Think of it as payment for your entertainment instead of thinking that you lose certain amount of money. The very reason why many people / gamblers always say use money that you are willing to spare and forget so you don't need to think about it after your game. Miner's losses are a different story from gambling. Basically, and the truth my people are going to gambling is because of money, aiming to win the jackpot and just of being please with. There are only two possible results in gambling either we lose or win, and asking have you counted or estimated your losses? I always end up regretting not counting my losses and not keeping track of them. I sometimes look back and is taken a back to know how much of opportunity cost i missed. What could I have bought from the money I lost , is there any better way to invest it to get more. Recently , I started with this activity of maintaining an excel to track my losses and even wins.
